Got home and I’ve got about 13 bed bug bites and the sheets had stains on them

La chambre. Attaque de punaise de lits, j'ai les chevilles enflées depuis lundi. Toilettes sales, douche sale, sol collant.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich habe mir am heutigen Tag Gedanken über meinen Aufenthalt im Generator gemacht. Ich war verzückt von der Idee eine Woche in Paris mit meinen Enkelkindern zu verbringen in diesem Hostel. Bis ich mir die Bewertungen durchließ. Ich bin schockiert und bevor ich wirklich buche, wollte ich fragen, ob die Bewertungen der Wirklichkeit entsprechen. Ich habe gelesen, dass schwarzer Schimmel in der Dusche sei, tote Tiere unter dem Bett, so wie Kakerlaken und Bettwanzen. Unter anderem, soll es dort auch benutze Kondome und Blutspritzer auf den Betten aufgefunden worden sein. Eine Frage an die, die schon da waren. Stimmen diese grausamen Resenzionen oder verbreiten Leute Gerüchte um dem Unternehmen zu schaden? Vielen Dank für eure Zeit! Freundliche Grüße, Gerald Müller

The mattress had an overwhelming smell of piss, and I think someone before me actually had peed in the bed. And the linen had a strong smell of something, too, maybe detergent, but it seemed like maybe something they were sprayed or treated with, maybe to get rid of bedbugs? The beds are very dirty on the sides and under the mattresses, with old contact lenses and rubbish than has accumulated for a long time. The other hostel guests came in very late at night (1, 2 and 4) and two of them had showers when they came in, waking everyone up.

It was good but it had bedbugs and the pillow sheets were dirty. We had to put the sheets in our own bed too which is extra hassle after a long travel day and being on the top bunk

Fuimos un grupo de 31 personas . Habitaciones con muy poca higiene (desde manchas de pinta labios , sangre en las camas , chinches picando en varias habitaciones ) . El personal no hizo nda al respecto solo sacudir las sabanas . En cuanto a la vigilancia hay un hombre que se dedica a molestar a las personas durante la noche, gritándote y incluso faltando al respeto si sales de la habitación para ir al baño . En cuanto la comida esa comida es del día anterior ya que esta dura y de muy poca calidad la lasaña era congelada . La organización es bastante mala.

chambres desastreuses, chauffage en panne fenetre cassees fuites d’eau bref on suffoquaient. gateaux au dessus des lampes, insectes morts dans les douches, on partageaient nos lit avec des punaises de lit , moissisure dans les douches taches de sang ET taches jaunes sur les literies, chewing gum dans les eviers, proprete des toilettes communes deplorables, pas d’electricite dans certaines chambres , dejeuner pas varié, si vous voulez repartir avec tout l’ecosysteme dans votre valise c’est le bon plan. Bref on se demande encore si quelqu’un fait le menage

I only spent one night in Paris and chose Generator Hostel. It has proven to be a horrible choice. I got bitten by bed bugs and had to treat all of my clothes and items I had with me and throw away some of my things once I got home.

Estoy en un viaje de estudios y estamos en una habitación de 6. No sé si es mala suerte, pero en mi habitación mi cama ha tenido chinches. Me he despertado con las piernas llenas de picaduras. Por lo demás, por el precio no está tan mal. Y aparte, había un clínex usado de a saber q y dos paquetes de oreo vacíos

When I came into the room it was quite filthy, but I believe this was the guest that caused it. I would have hoped that someone would come through and clean the room though, but it wasn’t. I went to sleep and another guest came to my bed and claimed it as theirs. This was the hostels fault. She said she would happily sleep in the bed above but needed it to be cleaned because it had food on the mattress and used sheets. When she tried to sort it out with staff, a grumpy worker came into the room at 1am, turned on the lights (despite the whole room sleeping), and started changing the sheets but didn’t clean the mess. I’m not sure what happened after that because I tried really hard to fall asleep again despite the noise. I think she went to another room. I felt bad for her. I also suspect I got bitten by something in this hostel, bed bugs likely. It’s hard to pin point bed bugs as the bites don’t immediately appear.

Hotel Generator in Parijs biedt op het eerste gezicht aantrekkelijke, budgetvriendelijke prijzen, maar die lage prijs komt helaas met flinke nadelen. De kamers waren extreem vies, met vlekken op de bedden en kussens, haren van vorige gasten en een douche en wc die duidelijk niet goed waren schoongemaakt. De douche zat vol met schimmel, en de luchtafvoer bleef de hele nacht doorblazen zonder dat deze uit kon, wat erg storend was. Er waren zelfs bedwantsen in het kussensloop, wat verre van hygiënisch is. Daarnaast kon het raam niet open, waardoor de kamer vaak extreem warm was, en de airconditioning deed het niet. Ook de sfeer was niet ideaal. Er was veel overlast van andere kamers, en het was vaak erg onrustig. Van de drie sleutelkaarten werkte er maar één, wat telkens weer problemen veroorzaakte bij het naar binnen gaan. De beveiliging was daarnaast onvriendelijk en verwarde ons met andere gasten, wat tot ongemakkelijke situaties leidde. Het ontbijt was wel voldoende, maar het aanbod was beperkt. Het hotel heeft ook positieve kanten, zoals de leuke muziek in de avond en een bar, en er is een pingpongtafel in de rookruimte. De bedden waren helaas wat klein, waardoor langere gasten schuin moesten liggen om te passen. Qua locatie heeft het hotel enkele voordelen. Op 100 meter afstand is er een kleine winkel, een paar restaurants en een bar. Ook is er een metrostation op loopafstand, waarmee je snel naar bezienswaardigheden zoals de Eiffeltoren, de Arc de Triomphe, Galeries Lafayette en het Louvre kunt reizen. Al met al kan Hotel Generator voor budgetreizigers een optie zijn, maar houd rekening met de hygiëne- en comfortproblemen die het verblijf helaas minder aangenaam maken.

La verdad es que el trato del personal siempre es pésimo, es un hotel sucio. Lo único bueno que tiene es su ubicación, tienen una terraza pero tienes que consumir para poder estar ahí, no tienes ningún beneficio por hospedarte en el hotel. Y una vez encontraron chinches en una cama.

Had to leave due to bed bug behaviour. Booked a private room with 2 beds. Had to change rooms due to signs of bed bugs (blood stains on seams, etc). The front clerk was really good with allowing us to have another room. It’s just that the next room also showed signs of infestation. In the end, requested a refund and received it without any hesitation. Good customer service but poor cleanliness.

I want to start off with saying this was hands down the worst Hostel I've ever been in my life, and no good conscience would I ever recommend this place to anybody. My first and biggest piece of complaint is the sanitary environment in the rooms. The rooms are outright disgusting you can truly see that there is no care put into cleaning their rooms. my group had four separate rooms. In each room there were spider webs and a spider roaming the rooms. I would understand if it's a one-time occurrence but every single room has spiders that were extremely visible Once you walk in. If something like that isn't able to be seen by staff I couldn't imagine how detailed or clean this place really is or how clean other parts of the facility is. The railing on my bed and the bed of others were grimy and had gum on them. I used a disinfectant wipe to go over the bed and railings and it was Pitch Black once I was done. I also want to note that the location this hostel is in is not the best neighborhood and the streets are extremely busy and loud.I would advise partnering up with someone if you want to be safe walking outside. Overall there's a lot of different complaints and comments that I can make but bottom line is if you don't want bed bugs I highly advise staying away to protect you and your family.

Do Not Book This Hostel If you've been traveling for years, you'll know that some experiences are unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. This hostel is one of those places. I cannot emphasize enough: **do not book this place**. Here are some of the issues I faced: 1. **Restricted Kitchen Access**: The kitchen is off-limits except during designated meal times when the hostel is serving their own food. You can't even make a simple cup of tea or use the kitchen for anything else. This is extremely inconvenient, especially for budget travelers who prefer to cook their own meals. 2. **Unhygienic Conditions**: The beds are reused without proper cleaning. During my stay, I witnessed staff changing only the bed sheets right in front of me without cleaning the mattresses or pillows. This level of neglect is unacceptable and unhygienic. And I felt bedbugs as well . 3. **Rude and Unhelpful Staff**: The staff were incredibly unhelpful and rude. They were more interested in pushing guests to buy food from the hostel's restaurant rather than addressing any concerns or providing basic services. 4. **Poor Maintenance and Cleanliness**: The overall cleanliness of the hostel was abysmal. The bathrooms and common areas were not regularly cleaned, making the environment unpleasant and uncomfortable. 5. **Lack of Attention to Reviews**: The management clearly doesn't care about guest feedback. They make no effort to improve based on reviews, which is evident from the numerous complaints left unaddressed. This hostel operates more like a money-making scheme than a place that cares about its guests. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

There were bed bugs, and I could not sleep well all 3 nights. I don't know why it is so even after you clean the rooms daily. May be you need to change foam bed mattress. 🛌 I still have a lot of bed bug marks on my arms and legs.

The hostel is in a convenient location and the staff were in initially friendly but overal my experience wasn't great. I woke up with several bites and it is not mosquito season so i think it may have been bed bugs. When i brought this to the attention of the staff the guy at the counter responded with "really?". I understand that this is an issue in Paris right now but this is still not acceptable. Also there was a guy in my room who was sick and washing his feet in the sink and he got me sick.

I did get a few bed bug bites. I know this is not always the hostels fault as there are people coming and going. When I told the desk they were helpful providing me new linen. It was also not as social as other hostels I had stayed at.

Ma fille séjourne dans cette hôtel pour un voyage d'étude et il y a des PUNAISES DE LITS, malheureusement cela peut arriver mais aucune mesure n'est pris par les responsable de cette établissement. C'est triste que les gens préféré l'argent au bien être des hôtes mais cela reflète bien l'avidité de certaine personne.

Tout. Les prix qui ne sont pas réels de l'établissement, pour obtenir des options telles que du savon, une serviette... IL FAUT PAYER, c'est de la belle fourberie. Rien n'est compris dans le prix hormis le lit, les toilettes et la douche. Sans parler des pouilleux qu'il y avait dans la chambre, au programme : de l'irrespect (ils allument la lumière en pleine nuit), gémissement constant au réveil du petit vieux (on a l'impression qu'il...), odeur de transpiration/tabac/vomis/je vous épargne les détails. Le réveil sonnait pendant 30 minutes. Surtout, n'ayez pas le malheur de laisser votre veste sur le porte-manteau, parce que l'odeur des vestes des confrères de cette chambre était affreuse. Honnêtement, je vous conseille de faire une nuit blanche en bas à l'accueil (ce que j'ai fait).

Personnel sympa , emplacement correct, mais pour la propreté ... wouah catastrophe, j'ai rarement vue aussi crade pour une chambre .je plaint les touristes pour les jeux olympiques ... Impossible de vérifier si c'était de la moisissure au angle de plafond ou des punaises de lit. Sol crados . Sdb dégueu. Nous sommes partis impossible de dormir ici. Chambre 801. Impossible de nous faire rembourser la chambre ni les taxes de séjours payé en espèces a l arrivée ..

Abzüge gibt es, da die öffentlichen Toiletten und Duschen im 1. Stock (diese erreichman auf der Etage der Locker und des Ruhe-Raums) sehr unangenehm waren und dringend einer vollständigen Reinigung bedurften. In einem Waschraum lag ein benutztes Handtuch und eine Unterhose. Gleiches gilt für den Locker-Room, wo auch die Fächer innendrin dringend mal gereinigt werden müssten.

almost everything. worst experience of my life, DIRTY, rooms decadent with bugs in the bed, walls peeling, floors so dirty never washed in days, bathroom unsuable, rude staff and unhelpful! + stolen jacket, almost stolen computer and valuables. STAY AWAY unlease you are a 17/18 year old on a school trip.

Stayed here for three nights. Immediately had rashes on my arms and elbow. I'm suspecting bed bugs but I'm not sure. The laundry area was also a mess. Only three washing machines for the entire building. People were lining up. The machines and dryers would also randomly stop. I had to pay three times the amount as the machines stopped randomly twice.

Liked the layout of our room in a 6 person shared dorm. Beds felt private and rooms felt safe. However, my friend found a few small bites on his ankle after our one night stay which he was fairly sure were bed bug bites.

Schimmel in der Dusche, Zimmer nicht sauber ggf. auch Bettwanzen oder kaputtes Klo, Zimmerkarten gingen permanent nicht.

Very rude steward only got one card for all of us which was weird and inconvenient. also got bed bug bites so idk about the cleaning…

Leider waren 3 von5 Personen unserer Familie nach einer Nacht komplett übersät mit Bissen von BETTWANZEN. Das Zimmer war nicht richtig sauber.

**** read to the end*** The good: walking distance to Gare Nord, Grocery nearby, metro across the road, elevators, laundry 3€ a load, bar with rooftop view, plenty to see in the surrounding area, beds are good. Huge underbed drawers that can be lock. BYOL. Beds are decent..shower and toilet in room. Sink also. All seperate from each other. The bad.: They overcharged my original booking by adding 8€50 for each day. I insisted on my refund at checkout. Had to fight for a refund, for universal charger after one use. It took 10 hours to make 30% power on my brand new phone. No wonder it's 5€,50. After getting my refund the worker acts angry. Like it came from their own personal pocket. Why do I need to pay for a service I never recieved or was aware of. ******,Bug bites!! I got bit 4 times.. be warned. I hope they didn't hitchhike. Awful things bedbugs.

BEAWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE GETTING YOURSELF INTO WHEN BOOKING THIS HOSTEL. This hostel does not take concerns seriously regarding bed bugs. The following email was what I received for voicing my concerns. I saw bugs when I was sleeping in the bed, however as I had never encountered bed bugs before I didn't know what they were. I got bed bugs from this hostel that completely ruined a trip I had been looking forward to for a long time. I did not get any appology from this hostel only the following email. Are the walls in the shower made of special mold proof material as well? Because there was also mold in the shower. As bed bugs could represent a serious threat to a business like a hotel (And many of them had to closed for this reason); the furnitures at the rooms are free of wooden, and matress are cover with a bed sheet anti bed bug. Unfortunately Generator cannot be responsible for this, as the building was built with special material to prevent this situation. If you're looking for a fun and cool, cheap place to stay in Paris, I recommend going to another hostel. I've been to Paris multiple times. I'm a french national and I was coming to Paris for 5 days to look at apartments. I saw this place, saw it was fairly cheap and had a cool rooftop. Well what a disappointment! I don't usually like being a Karen but when I tell you this is by far the worst hostel experience I've had. The rooftop was closed every day of my stay for "private parties." Yet the hotel didn't bother to tell you it would be closed after you wait 10 mins just to get the one single elevator to the 9th floor. Not only was the customer service poor, they refuse to speak french with anyone who orders (even in perfect french). The lady who checked me in couldn't even speak french bc it wasn't her first language. The guy at the bar the same. The food and drinks are extremely overpriced. The quality of the food is probably the worst "Italian pizza" I've ever tried. Not only was my cocktail 9 euros for just hard Rhum and a ton of limes and sugar in it. No ice. Honestly ridiculous. My bedroom was a 8 person dorm. I got there and my sheets were used by someone. I had bed bugs. I reported it and they of course didn't believe me even though I found one on my arm and have bites on my body. They said there's no way we have bed bugs it's just someone who came with them. I was offered a new room but never actually was moved to one. I wasted 220 for honestly trash. Don't go here. There's better hostels. This place only gets hype from their closed rooftop.
