Chillout Lya Hostel Bar

The owners cheated us out of money at the bar; the next morning, they asked for more than our group drank. There were bedbugs in the beds on the third floor; when we reported them, nothing was done, and we didn't get a refund. The rooms were uncomfortable to sleep in, the street was very busy, and there was noise until dark and again early in the morning. Clothes went missing from the dryer twice, and we still haven't figured out who stole them. We deeply regretted choosing this place. На третьем этаже в кроватях клопы, когда сообщили, ничего так и не предпринялось, а деньги нам не возвратили. В номерах некомфортно спать, на улице очень оживленно, шум до тёмной ночи и с раннего утра снова. Вещи из сушилки пропали 2 раза, так и не поняли кто их украл(. Очень пожалели, что решили выбрать это место.

Good location, awesome staff, pretty sure I got torn apart by bed bugs.

Bad experience, was allover bitten in my legs, for sure there is bed bugs and other parasites and insects. Luckily i realised it. Otherwise gentle stuff and Ok breakfast.

Nettes kleines low budged Hostel in einem belebten Stadtteil Istanbuls. Das Hostel gefiel mir mit seinem geselligen Charme gut, und dass der niedrige Preis inklusive eines Frühstückes ist, ist ebenfalls angenehm. Leider hatte ich eine unangenehme Situation am dritten Tag meines Aufenthaltes, als ich nach einem längeren Ausflug in das Zimmer zurück kam und sah, dass jemand in dem Zimmer war. Meine Klamotten waren beiseite geräumt und das Bett und die Matratze fehlten. Man sagte mir es hätte eine Desinfektion stattgefunden und ich solle das Zimmer wechseln. Als ich nachfragte woher diese Information nun stammte (weil ich schon 3 Tage in dem Zimmer schlief) wurde mir vom Mitarbeiter sehr ausweichend geantwortet. Es handelte sich wohl um Ungeziefer, aber der Mitarbeiter wollte mir keine näheren Auskünfte geben. Ich zog für weitere 2 Nächte in ein anderes Zimmer. Am Tag meiner Abreise stellte ich einige Bisse (etwa 15 Stück am ganzen körper) von Bettwanzen fest, welche wirklich unangenehm sind.

Not sure how this hostel has such high reviews.... definitely one of the worst, I have stayed in. My room (12)had bed bugs, and the staff didn't seem overly surprised or concerned. Nice breakfast though!

THUMBS UP: tasty breakfast, good emplacement, nice staff. THUMBS DOWN: bedbugs, noisy and cold.

The first night I found bed bugs in my bunk (9 dorm,2nd floor, I have pics)there were a lot. Notified the staff and they were nice about it and moved us to a different room immediately. I walked past the next day I saw that they had changed my sheets that had lots of dead bugs on it but they hadn’t changed my friends sheets which had a bug blood stain on it. Next day we found bed bug in our new bed, and ended up checking out early the next day. The people were nice but I couldn’t handle the bugs

I booked a private room and as I was laying on the bed, my skin started itching more and more, it became very uncomfortable and as I looked at the bed, I saw a bed bug wondering around !!!! What a horror!! It’s the worst thing that can happen!!! This is an extremely serious issue that needs to be addressed by this hostel urgently. Of course I canceled my reservation after less that one hour of checking it. It’s impossible to stay in this condition. Obviously I do not at all recommend this place, as long as this bed bugs issue is not taken more seriously and fixed

I loved this place. Good breakfast, comfy bunks, central location. But my bunk had bed bugs. Owner really needs to steam the mattresses.

Pro's: Good location, nice breakfast, generally helpful staff (no issues), comfortable bed, bathrooms were generally clean Con's: somewhat cramped socializing area, but most importantly - room was definitely infested with bed bugs as I was bit all over - legs, arms, back, etc. (definitely wasnt bit before arriving). Now worried if any of my stuff carried them back home :( Thought they cleaned up the bug problem after earlier reviews...but bed bugs clearly still there!

Most things about the hostel were great! Comfortable space, air conditioning, good locker space for valuables and for big bags, fabulous breakfast every morning, and a nice social atmosphere. However there were bedbugs :( the staff was very kind and let us stay in another room, but unfortunately bedbugs spread, so I hope they can figure out a way to get rid of them without too much hassle!

*Bed bugs alert* Although the atmosphere was nice and the location quite central, the hostel was not very clean. During the night bed bugs were crawling out (I even have pictures). Because I am allergic to those, I immeditalety stepped out of bed. I got a refund and the hostelowner washed all my clothes for free. Nevertheless, I did not get the impression that he is taking the bed bug problem seriously. So if you want to make some crawling friends in the night, this is definitly your place!
