Nexy Hostel

Watch out for BED BUGS!! The place itself was nice, the staff was helpful and very friendly. Rooms were relatively clean and bathrooms were as well. I spent one night and during that time I got (most likely) bitten by bed bugs. I checked the mattress and other places and found a lot of signs, that indicate there could be bed bugs. Now, this is not the hostel's fault as many travellers come and go. Some of them may bring bed bugs to the hostel without knowing about it. After I reported the staff about my bed bug suspicions they took it seriously and went to check out the mattress. I don't know what they did about it as I left the hostel soon after reporting about bed bugs. I'm writing this only to let you know about this and to make you consider of staying here. I don't necessarily say you should not go here. There can be bed bugs in a 5 star hotel as well. It's all about the previous visitors. Bed bugs need to be taken very seriously as they are extremely difficult to get rid of and many travellers underestimate them. I hope my review was helpful.

Was in this hostel for only about 10 minutes until a member of my group found a bed bug in her bed. I took a photo of it on its side, and we all saw that it was clearly a bed bug. They later 'checked' the room and said there we no bed bugs and were very unhelpful. Looking at other comments in the past weeks/months, bed bugs are clearly a common issue here (especially recently). We came as part of a tour so we had no choice in booking this hostel but be weary and ALWAYS check before. There wasn't any other room available so we had to take our losses and book a new place last minute. Would never go back.

I had not good experience here, got bed bug bite for 2 nights in 2 different rooms, can’t image so many bed bug here. they also charge very high price I don’t know why, but the staff here is kind and helpful, just need to take care of the cleanliness more it will be perfect. I think their customers too much staff too less, so that’s what tragedy happened.

Cool atmosphere downstairs and in the social areas but there were bed bugs... and the room was not clean.

The three bed private room that we got at Nexy was cute and cosy. Toilet and shower had pretty bad ventilation - since it was wet all the time, we had to open the windows to let the steam out. The door was much of a hassle to deal with. Beds were actually pretty comfy for a hostel, downside was we found bed bugs on our last night there. Having had bad experiences with bed bugs, we really hope Nexy do something about this so that it won’t be an inconvenience to the future hostel goers. This won’t stop us from visiting vietnam again though. We loved exploring the old quarter and the hostel has the perfect location for us to walk everywhere.

Bedroom looked clean, but small bedbug was everywhere in the bed and the blanket, and the next day when we asked the staff, they said the reason was because of foreigners... They should keep their rooms clean and nice instead of blaming customers. 2 stars for the services
