Al ser habitaciones abiertas tuvimos muchos problemas con mosquitos y chinches en nuestra cama las 2 noches. Nos hicieron un descuento, pero la verdad terminamos todos picados. El personal muy amable, pero el problema ya era algo de la habitación misma.

Rooms, food and views were great BUT DONT pay to sleep in the hammocks they had bedbugs and we were left with bites all over our hands and feet and faces the next morning and had to launder all our clothes. We only realised these were bedbugs and not mosquitoes after we left the hostel and have connected them for compensation but not heard back

Vibe-Analyse
The Journey Hostel sits high up with wide jungle and valley views, and the pool and dining areas make the most of that setting. It is a strong base for Tayrona, with easy access to the park and to Santa Marta. There is food and drink on site, plus shared dinners, evening games, and a lively common area. Room setups vary a lot: some are open to the outside, while others are enclosed dorms with air conditioning. That makes the experience feel quite different depending on the room type. Expect a place with plenty of energy and very little quiet. Music can run loud into the evening, and the social scene is part of the appeal. For a short, social stop with big scenery, this hostel has a clear identity.
