Friendly staff, but otherwise my experience didn’t live up to the high reviews and relative price. The most grating part is that every time you enter the hostel, you need to ring a doorbell and wait for someone to come open the door. It becomes awkward and uncomfortable if you come and go often. We lost all water in the morning and only got cold water back in the afternoon. The room was musty and poorly ventilated. There was no social atmosphere or group activities.
Overall it was a good stay. Location is approx 7-10 min walk to most central points including to supermarket, bank, etc. some of the staff spoke English and was helpful with information and tips. The room was very small for 2 people and quite rustic with its amenities, and though we had everything in it (hot water, toilet, bed, table, chair), something like hangers in the room and another chair to put stuff on was dearly missing. Breakfast was quite basic too but still free ;)
Clean and nice small 4 bed dorm. Cosy garden and great rooftop. Breakfast is nice as well and the staff is very very friendly. If you’re looking for a vibe, then this is not your place to go to. It’s really really quiet. But that was good for me, because it’s just what I needed after being in a busy hostel before.
The room wasnt at all Like the Images. When We wanted to enter the hostel we Had to Ring the bell, wich is totally fine but one evening we Had to wait for 15 Minutes until Somebody Opened even though we Rang the bell severell Times. This was very creepy in the Dark But the Guy working there didnt Care. The Backyard where our room was was very loud and the Windows and Doors didnt Close correctly. The only really nice Things were the breakfast and the sweet Lady who Made it for us every morning.
I enjoyed staying here overall - good location, just 15 minute walk to the historic town centre. The area felt safe. Daily room cleaning was a nice touch and my room had a coffee machine. The hot water was not always available and this led to a cold shower once but overall I didn’t care that much - I would stay here again. Thanks!
Les lits superposés sont vieillissants, grincent et ne sont pas franchement stable. Je ne suis pas un grand gabarit mais j’ai bien cru que j’allais atterrir sur mon voisin du bas…
We had a room on the ground floor so got woken up by drinks people chatting right outside our door, also positioned next to the toilets and could hear and smell those. Hostel communal areas were nice and the rooftop in particular. Decent location to explore the city
I’ve loved staying here, it’s very peaceful and close enough to everything. I’ve enjoyed the more relaxed energy here. It definitely feels less busy and popping then other hostels I’ve stated at which fits well with my travel desires. Breakfast is good, the people working here are very kind, and the showers are hot! I ended up extending 3 extra days because I just felt at peace here

Really nice and cute Hostel. The staff was so helpful when we needed yarn and needle to sew a button back on. Thanks again! :)
Lovely peaceful hostel a few blocks from the main plaza. Our private room was nice and airy, and clean. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed so not the place if you're looking to party. There's a nice rooftop terrace that we often had to ourselves in the evenings.
Absolutely LOVED our week long stay. Location was perfect - Angel and Edit were wonderful. I’d definitely stay again!

Great place to stay, it’s nice not having bunk beds for once lol too bad there’s not more of a social atmosphere here though
Casa Coco was such a lovely find. The staff was so incredibly nice and accommodating. Especially the gentleman (who seemed to be the owner or manager) who checked us in. The room was very clean and comfortable, as were the shared bathrooms. The staff continuously tends to the cleanliness of the hostel and it really shows! The location is super ideal with tons of coffee shops and restaurants right by it. 10/10 would definitely book again!!

Very nice hostel! Really cute, great location and sweet staff!
Nice place, felt like I was in La vecindad del chavo del 8
Great spot. I needed a nice chill space with private rooms at a nice price point. 100% would stay again. More of an apartment style with a shared bathroom and good rooftop terrace.

The best hostel! Great location in a quiet street but only a few minutes walk to the hustle and bustle. Kind, hardworking staff and an amazing breakfast - already miss those eggs! Lovely rooftop too, with great views of the city
Friendly, attractive, cheerful, helpful, central, quiet overnight, secure, hot showers with good water pressure!

This hostel has everything you need and not much more! It was super clean, the staff was very kind, and a super nice roof top terrace in a nuce and quiet area of Oaxaca City. A few minutes walk to the center. Really great value for money! Not a hostel for socialising, but for a good nights sleep, a great location and a nice breakfast.
Perfect !
Tranquil spot so close to central Oaxaca, and the bus terminal. The staff are great and the breakfast simple and inviting. Thank you
