Bambu Hostel

WARNUNG an alle alleinreisenden Frauen!!! Ich kann dieses Hostel auf keinen Fall einer alleinreisenden Frau empfehlen. Ich habe mich hier extrem unwohl und in meiner Privatsphäre verletzt gefühlt. Lest euch die Google Rezensionen zu den Hostel durch!!!

Interesting place. The staff are lovely, the rooms are clean, it’s nice to have a kitchen. Free washing! It’s up a steep hill and google maps sends you up the wrong one - go up the other road! Our dorm had no storage places or lockers, and there’s no proper check in place they just meet you outside. The kitchen is very small, the place doesn’t really feel like a hostel. It’s good value for the price and we had a good stay but perhaps feels more like a home stay.

Pros- - really lovely staff - Free washing and filtered water - Comfortable beds - Clean - Female/male dorms Cons- - very new so missing a lot of key features such as lockers, partitions between beds, fans - Up quite a steep hill - Don’t take card (even though hostel world says they do) - No reception - Very very small kitchen ( but does have nice new amenities)

Absolutely loved this hostel!!! Roberto and Luis are so kind and helpful for figuring out things to do and give the best recommendations! They went above and beyond and the room is nice and clean with comfy beds!

A very nice chill environment to stay! The staff were super friendly and very helpful in my travels along La Ruta de Flores. Highly recommend staying.

Great cozy dorm and good kitchen. The owner was incredible and for the price you can’t beat it, just wish they had an electric kettle ! Other then that really solid for the price and good location

Abbiamo trascorso due notti nell’ostello ed è stato come essere a casa. Il proprietario gentilissimo e super disponibile con qualunque cosa.

Great hostel, everything is very clean, beds are comfy, WiFi is good and the kitchen is equipped with the necessary things. Luis is very kind, he gave me loads of information about the town and surrounding area and also helped me a lot to organize my onward travel. I ended up extending and spending 5 nights in total :)

Loved my 3-night stay at Bambu! Luis, the host, was incredibly kind and gave us lots of great recommendations. He only speaks Spanish, so communication might be a bit more challenging if you don’t speak the language. My friend and I stayed in a 2-beds dorm, which gave us a lot of privacy. Everything was clean, and there was a small kitchen with all the basics for cooking. The only thing to keep in mind is the steep hill to get there. It’s quite a workout, especially with luggage! That said...

Nice place to stay in Juayuah. The host Luis really makes the place! He was always ready to help and give recommendations.

We had a lovely stay at Bambu Hostel. The beds were super comfortable and the grounds of the hostel were very pretty. Luis was an incredibly kind and helpful host. He gave us so much information about Juayúa including how to access the waterfalls and transportation, whatever we needed he was very happy to provide. One of the best hostel hosts we have had, we only have good things to say about Luis and our stay at Bambu. Ask for a blanket if you run cold at night!

A short walk out of town and incredible if you're looking for quiet and peaceful. The owner (Louis) is amazing. Don't use Google Maps to navigate here! Walk the 5th av.norte northwards and you'll get there

Luis is running a one-man show and is extremely helpful and caring, almost like an uncle. It's best if you know some Spanish. One thing: an earlier review mentioned hot showers, but they were instead typical of El Salvador. I stayed in the lower casita -- simple, clean, and comfortable. Free washer was a bonus!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hostel. It's on the edge of town so it's very quiet, but the town is small so it's less than ten minutes to walk to the middle of town. The staff is very nice, especially Luis. He helped us with laundry, showed us places to eat and visit in the area, and in general he was always ready to help. Especially with the price, we couldn't recommend this hostel enough!

I don't always leave reviews but I thought Bambú - and particularly its owner Luis - was so exceptional overall that it would feel wrong not to write something. The other great reviews already convey a lot but Luis is what elevates it and I was really impressed by the friendly, methodical yet unshowy way in which he communicates with his guests. He runs his place very conscientiously, offers great and genuinely useful advice and makes sure his guests have what they need. 11/10 from me.

Luis, der Besitzer, war super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Hostel ist sauber und der Garten sehr schön bepflanzt. Wir konnten die Waschmaschine und die Küche mit kostenlosem Trinkwasser nutzen. Er erweitert das Hostel aktuell, sodass es in Zukunft sicherlich noch geselliger wird. Die Wasserfall Wanderung mit Alex war auch super.

Super top. Comodo a pochi passi dal centro con tutte le necessità . Cucina attrezzata. Proprietari sempre disponibili ad aiutarti. Ottimi consigli su come passare al meglio il tempo in città

Luis, the host, is such a kind person which made sure that the stays was exceptional. It's a calm economic hostel. I'd go there again for sure 😊 thank you Luis!

great hostel, very clean and quiet. do not use google maps for directions as it will lead you up the wrong road. Thankfully Luis the owner was expecting us and came to meet us. cant recommend luis and this hostel enough.

Muy buena atmósfera, tranquilo, limpio, con todas las instalaciones que uno necesita. He sido muy bien recibida, el dueño me ha explicado todo del pueblo, la ruta de las flores y sus alrededores, para que pueda disfrutar mi distancia al máximo.
