Bad experience thru communication. I cancel it because of bed bugs in hostel they didnt want to cancel it for free now I am waiting to get my money back.

Bedbugs in our room!!! There were a lot, they were crawling in the bed and on the walls. I witnessed bedbugs at different stages of life, babies to big fat adults and I was full of bites. They have clearly been there for some time and the rooms and other comments about it can prove it. Management shows a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. They should feel terrible about letting clients stay in while they are well aware of the issue.

I had an absolutely horrific experience at the Pink Pineapple Hotel in Athens. I woke up covered in painful, intensely irritated bedbug bites all over my skin. To make matters worse, I actually found live bedbugs in the room and have full photo and video evidence, along with a doctor's report documenting the physical damage caused by this stay. When I brought this health hazard to management, their response was completely dismissive and rude. It is unacceptable to run a business in such filthy, unsanitary conditions and then ignore guests who suffer because of it. I now have to deal with medical expenses and deep-cleaning my contaminated belongings. Save yourself the pain and avoid this place at all costs!

I booked the hostel expecting bare minimum and I wasn't really disappointed. Important to note - the owner treats all 3 buildings as one, I don't know why he won't just merge them into one in the booking systems because I booked with Pink Mango as the rooms seemed nicer and I was placed in Pineapple anyways. The Pineapple is treated as the "main" one and that's where they made me check in, looking at other reviews I understand it also has the best kitchen and rooftop access. Luckily I didn't experience the bed bugs others are complaining about! My bed had a broken charger plug, so I couldn't use it and had to plug my things in to the extension cord in the room area. The bed itself was fine and I slept OK, but I'm a deep sleeper and if you're sensitive to outside noise it can be tough. The air conditioning was constantly turning off in our room and you do not get the remote in the room. One night the other girls went to get someone from the reception desk to turn it on and he accidentally(?) left the remote with us which was very helpful, but it disappeared the next day and we were stuck in the heat once again. It is frustrating that all the bathrooms are on the -1 floor and some of them are not in the best condition - in the first one I used the shower constantly kept turing boiling hot without changing the temperature gauge, and in the second one the shower head was broken and water was coming out of the sides instead of the front, which made showering pretty hard. The lift is absolutely awful, smells terribly and you can hear water sloshing around whenever it moves??? And seems pretty rickety. I've seen complaints about locks to the rooms and buildings, in Pineapple every room I passed has an electronic code lock, the same goes with the main door to the building. I only saw it left open for not that long once during my stay from friday evening to monday morning. Personally I didn't feel the area was sketchy at all, I walked around at night every day and didn't feel concerned once.

The whole building is full of bedbugs. Employees does know but they just let you put your stuffs on beds without telling you nothing. When I exchanged with the staff, they just said it's like this, no matter. I think the owner doesn't want to proceed at a desinfection during summer period and loose money. Just don't go there if you want to enjoy a trip in Athens because it is not only a single bedroom but the whole building contaminated and you won't be able to sleep and will have to burn your clothes once back...

🚨DO NOT STAY HERE🚨 they have bed bugs on every bed!! I spent a full week recovering and it ruined my entire trip to Greece. Seriously do not stay here, I know it’s cheap but you will being paying the price afterwards

Very bad reception there is no responsibility we has bed dugs and they have just ignored us, very bad experience , some of us the whole of the buddy was full of bits from the bed bugs

This hostel is full of bedbugs!!! I booked four nights at this hostel and had to leave after one because of bedbugs. I saw bedbugs in the first room I was put in and then after I changed to a new room I woke up the next morning with bites. The workers did not seem to understand how bad the situation was and only offered to change the bed and then the room. I saw no evidence that they were cleaning the rooms or making any effort to get rid of the bugs. Very bad management of the issue.

Unfreundliches Personal. Bei Fragen etc. wird nicht drauf eingegangen. Unhygienische Zimmern wie zb Flecken auf Bettwäsche. BETTWANZEN !!! Fast alle zimmer haben Bettwanzen. Auch diese werden vom Personal verleugnet und nicht ernst genommen. Nach zwei Nächten sind wir ausgeheckt. no go

Avoid it! I stayed there for 3 days and I am living a nightmare after it! Full of bedbugs! I already spent lots of money with doctors, creams, medicine and products to fight this. Had to throw my pijamas away. I real nightmare! The doctors told me to tell them to burn the mattress and the employees/owner at the hostel laughed at me. My full body was bitten by bedbugs! Avoid this place!

Punaises de lit !! Bed bugs !! L'emplacement et les équipements sont bons, mais il y a manifestement un problème d'infestation et le personnel est clairement dépassé pour faire face à la situation. Je n'ai même pas été remboursée de mon séjour.
