Kinboshi Silom

Hostel was dirty. Rude staff. Horrible common area.

The staff were very nice and the hostel appears clean but unfortunately there was a foul smell around the whole place, especially in the front entrance and the dorm. It is also in a bit of an awkward location away from most of the main attractions of Bangkok, and on the 9th floor of a building. At night the main entrance is closed so you have to enter through a dark parking lot.

Positive Points:The hostel is fairly clean (around 7/10).The price is low, which may suit budget travelers.Overall Experience:My stay at Kinboshi Hostel had some positives, but there were several issues related to comfort, communication, and facilities that affected the overall experience.One concern was a strong chemical or paint-like substance near the side of the bed, which caused irritation and redness in the eyes. This may have been temporary maintenance work, but it was uncomfortable

Hostel is dirty

Most hostels I’ve stayed at accept card payments; this one does not and was very inflexible about it. The staff were generally unaccommodating. Although a 24-hour reception is advertised, I was initially refused check-in when my bus arrived late, despite having paid and booked. Only after repeatedly pointing out my booking dates was I allowed in. Bathrooms are also located outside.

The entire hostel is like an oven all day long because they refuse to turn on AC until 5PM. You can’t even go back and relax during the day, it’s ridiculous. People and staff are great.

It was clean & not grotty. But it’s hard to find! Also the atmosphere was dead, lacking storage good in the rooms, staff nice but not very helpful and the toilets aren’t really part of the hostel

The room was nice, however they turned off air conditioning during the day, which they said they didn't. Iz at reception was overly familiar and I did not like his demeanor.

Sinks in the bathroom were falling apart and the rooms/common room had a weed smell

Very clean and very nice staff but the AC is off in the dorms most the day and the AC in the dining room was never turned on. The bedrooms and the dining room get really hot.

Most amazing staff, felt very looked after and well taken care of. Great, if you are looking for somewhere to relax for a few days.

Good hostel

If your looking for a quite and nice place to stay, Kinboshi is a good choice. However, there's only AC in the bedrooms, so the rest of the building is pretty hot.

Very lovely hostel, very clean nice facilities staff were very friendly and helpful - slightly hard to find you have to go through a parking garage to a lift but that’s not their fault

The manager and staff at this hostel are soooo lovely and helpful - thank you for such a lovely stay. The property itself is very clean and great location

Delightful hostel at the top of the S&B tower, the nicest I've seen in Southeast Asia. Izz, the gentleman on the front desk, is very charming and helpful. Comfy beds, clean facilities, great wifi, lovely common room and communal workspace, good transport links and shops. The toilets are by the lifts, so you have to bring your keys if you go at night. Also, there is construction work downstairs where they are installing private rooms, but only noisy in the day and only a short term disturbance...

Lovely hostel had a great time!

Amazing location to stay as right by some really cool spots and there is a short walk to the BTS, making it very easy to get anywhere from this hostel. the staff working there are wonderful and made it a great stay. Toilets and showers were clean. Ended up coming back to stay again because I really enjoyed my stay and the surrounding area.

The host/receptionist Is is very friendly and accommodating! the facilities were okay, I think the showers could be better maintained for sure. Water pressure is very minimal. the social area doesn't feel fleshed out, it definitely needs a couch. and there aren't any lockers for small bags, only small items. overall not bad but could be better

Good hostel with nice and clean dorms. The bathrooms need a renovation and there was often no toilet paper. A bit hard to find the hostel, but overall really good.
