Ayahuasca Casa Artística

I got bed bugs in the mixed dorm here and was overall a bit disappointed in the facilities and staff. The pool and common areas were not very clean. I was promised a tour of the facilities and fruit trees that didn’t happen and the owner seemed surprised and unprepared when I asked to order breakfast. Do note that they only offer breakfast, all other meals need to be cooked or taken in the village. I would have brought food had I known there are no places to buy food nearby.

Prachtige locatie en vriendelijke eigenaar. Echter trekt het wel een bepaalde soort mensen aan en daar moet je van houden. In mijn geval ontkwam ik niet aan de andere gasten die erg aanwezig waren, erg hippie en in de avond compleet van de kaart waren. Ook minder geschikt voor activiteiten vanuit hostel.

Pros: Very friendly staff and pets, peaceful location, potential to be really good with a lovely atmosphere. Cons: Kitchen very dirty, we saw multiple cockroaches and so cooked much less than planned, pans very old, missing handles etc. Pool was very murky too. Hostel underequipped given the distance from Jardín. Very hard to find in the dark if you arrive late, path and sign not lit at all. I really wanted to like the hostel more and I do think it could be great, but needs some work.

Cold water showers were outdoors and without soup. Just one shower with hot water and next to the mixed bedroom. Any transportation takes you down to the hostel and you need to walk. Very difficult to cook as the pots didn’t have handles.

Our stay was okay overall, and the host was kind. However, the place felt more like a casual place or hippie retreat than the fancy hostel shown in the photos. The pictures are misleading. Additionally, we were charged more than the price listed. Not a bad experience, but not what we expected.

The place is located in a beautiful surroundings, in the middle of nowhere, far from the city, with a lot of rain just like during my stay that was really problematic. House is beautiful and the people in there too. Hostel is run by volunteers which causes very chill vibes, but not necessarily everything is done.

A lovely hostel with the most amazing view. We were really well looked after here. Quite rustic and a very chilled laid-back atmosphere. Also lots of cute pets!!

Andreas was absolutely lovely and we had a lovely time here. Just make sure that you know before booking that every time you want to go into Jardin you have to pay 12,000 for a mototaxi. However, because it is out of the town, the view is stunning and definitely worth going for alone.

There were a lot of nice people at this place, I had a great time with them! The facilities are okay, I was mostly bothered by blackflies that bit me a lot during the day. If you use repellent and/or long clothes, you should be fine :)

Amazing place, not a problem to back and forth from Jardin, sweet owners who smokes a lot of weed, beds aren’t very comfy and kitchen wasn’t the cleanest, but wow what a nice vibe and atmosphere

LOVED this place! A beautiful community of warm-hearted people and cuddly animals, rather than a hostel! I miss waking up to those amazing views and chilling in a hammock next to the pool! Some facilities are pretty basic, part of the overall laid-back experience. I felt so safe that I left my belongings in common spaces all the time for the first time during my trip. Had a beautiful tattoo by the talented Kintin, who worked on every detail until late at night! I will totally be back ❤️

L’Ayahuasca hostel est un très bel endroit calme et reposant. Avec un personnel très accueillant, je recommande ++++ :)

Had such a great time at ayahuasca casa. The atmosphere is tranquil in the mountains and only a short ride from jardin. The owners were very helpful in calling a ride when I needed and providing recommendations. Plus the cats were really cute

perfect little gem out of the town. amazing people, great vibe and they even have a steam room!

The tattoo artist is super talented, I got a amazing piece as a reminder of my trip. The artwork round the hostel is very inspiring, I spent most of my time here creating which was just what I needed, felt like a little retreat.

Nature, tranquility and community. A great little spot to relax and unwind for a few days.

Very wholesome atmosphere, lots of space to chill out in a hammock or sofa with the cats. Everyone is super friendly and the view is beautiful by the pool.

A very authentic experience in the mountains. The dorms were basic but comfortable and the vibe here is great. Bonfires at night were a special touch

Awesome views from the terrace, a little out of town but totally worth it to be immersed in nature. The pool and steam room are very unique in a hostel like this.

love the energy here and all the art. people and pets are super friendly also. it rained a lot when we were here but there was a cosy community feel and we had fun playing games, drinking coffee and cooking together

Das Hostel ist der perfekte Ruheort. Es herrscht eine angenehme und familiäre Atmosphäre und ich habe mich sofort wohlgefühlt. Es gibt einen großen Außenbereich, einen Pool, eine Dampf-Sauna und eine Feuerstelle. Man einen tollen Blick auf die Berge und kann viele Wanderungen machen. Zu Fuß kann man entlang der Straße 40 Minuten in den Ort laufen, oder aber für 12.000 COP mit einem Tuk Tuk fahren. Es gibt eine Küche und verschiedene Frühstücksoptionen.

Auberge très sympa et conviviale, personnel au top ! Endroit est paisible et charmant, en bref très chouette expérience, je recommande vivement !

great vibes here. lots of hikes in jardin and this the perfect place to end the day with steam room or round a bonfire. friendly and talented people that work here, art is amazing.

Waking up to the views from the pool was definitely a highlight. And the vegan breakfast was just what the doctor ordered, healthy and delicious! The people and pets here are super sweet, they make you feel at home in an instant.

I got my first tattoo here and I LOVE it, the detail is amazing and Kintin captured exactly what I wanted. I definitely recommend coming here for a tattoo or just to check out his amazing artwork. The surrounding nature and chilled atmosphere made it hard to leave. I hope to come back soon for my next tattoo!
