We paid 35 € for a room. Similar price to getting an appartment on Airbnb. The room was small and old. Mold in the ceilings and some paint coming off. It is like a modern prison cell.
The property doesn't have the service and score as it appears. They're canceling your booking as soon as you arrive and pay, so you can't leave a review. I had to get in touch with Hostelword regarding this issue. The terrace isn't as on the pictures either. Check google reviews before booking is highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!
The room on the ground floor is unventilated, no window, in a basement. normally this room should never be used by travelers coming from foreign countries and for a short sightseeing visit. besides there are no blankets, and the mattresses in poor condition.
Horrible experience! I originally booked for Dar Oussama, but they over booked me! So the owner brought me to Sam Hostel. It's seems like something he does often, not professional at all! Especially when they demand full payment upon arrival! The riad is smelly and dingy. The sheets aren't clean and smelly. There's no AC or fans in the rooms. The WiFi goes in and out. I'd avoid both Dar Oussama and Sam hostel. There are much better places to stay in Rabat.
Go not in this Hostel, the Host Ossama is very creepy, especially as Frau prefer not to go there
Staff were great but few bad things about the hostel, my room was damp and had mould on the walls and there is nowhere to hang towels or wet jackets after being in the rain outside. Hostel was 25 euro a night which is double compared to other hostels in Morocco.
For the first impression the plane and the receptionist girl was nice but after we saw the beds. The bedsheets seemed dirty and really old school. We got an old blanket. 5 people in a small room. The bathroom was okey. For the morning nobody was there. There’s no staff… no toilet paper… we wanted to left our backpacks for a few hours.. first the girl said it’s okey and after she said it’s 40 dirham/hour/ backpack. Because it’s not included… I am not recommend this place.
The private rooms are unfortunately very dirty and everything is very small. personal but super friendly and the location is perfect.
honestly, the people made it a good experiences. or at least not a bad one. the young hostesses are nice and the bath is clean. but it's not really comfortable and the older guy from the hostel keeps shouting through the house, even at late night. For example he got into a fight with the younger ones at like 1pm just in front of our room (above the door is a hole, so it's really loud..). But again, the hostesses are doing their best and provide good service. Met some really interesting people.
The hostel scored me for the location and the price. however the Mattress was really very hard (alt), the Shower and the toilet in one room, the toilet really very very close to the wall and thus tight and also not clean (yellow Ablagerungen and the Klobrille), besides the Soap was really missing in the bathroom every day. the Hostel was basically very small and did not give the impression, as if it were designed to bring each other closer.

You get what you pay for. No lockers for your luggage. In the bathroom (1st floor), everything is literally falling apart and it’s super moldy. The rooftop is nice but all of the chairs have holes in them. I put some baghrir in the fridge for my breakfast and they froze. Weird atmosphere as everyone was skeptical because of the bad state of everything around us. The personal is polite, but can’t recommend places to eat at, doesn’t know if there is breakfast at the hostel etc.
Good hostel good stuff good location 👍🏻
This aHostwl is in the middle of the Medina of Rabat. First, I was not able to find it. (It is opposite of Café Ourtiga (https://maps.app.goo.gl/cp64LVkYXrmiptzr5?g_st=ic) a real marokkanische place.) The people are very friendly. The kitchen on the roof top is cleaned. You get clean sheets.
Nice small Riad right in the medina. Easy walk to the sea. Lovely little terrace. Well worth staying here
It was a great place. I was there for only 4 days but I felt so comfortable and calm over there. We got a private room and it was clean tho. And I personally love the sitting area upstairs, which gives us a nice vibe of Rabat.
Great location, right in the Medina. Nice hostel, has everything you need with a nice terrace and comfy beds. WhatsApped them before about coming early to drop off my bags but never received a reply, so it felt very bad when I showed up and woke them. Anyway, it’s a bit overpriced but I saw that the other options in Rabat were the same. Decent, Nice to stay for a night or two.
Nice structure, in great location, very safe although it doesn't look like it. The lockers are missing and there are not enough safety boxes for personal belongings. For the rest everything is in the norm relative to the structure. The staff however is the big flaw of this hostel, very helpful, of scarsissimo help and from them I have not been able to get a minimum of information regarding Rabat or its surroundings
Hostel nice, clean and well located in the old town of Rabat. the staff is young and friendly. they give good recommendations of places to visit and restaurants. i recommend to provide quiescent balls and a sleep mask, as there is some noise and light in the rooms. overall it was great.
Staff molto accogliente e rooftop stupenda.
I recommend it to all the guests staying in Rabat. excellent quality price and central location. very friendly staff and fantastic rooftop.
I had such a wonderful stay here. I loved hanging out with the staff because they were so fun and friendly. We would sit on the rooftop and have tea together. The hostel is quite small, so dorms are more intimate with only 3 or so beds in each room. The rooftop is cozy and arranged in a welcoming way. There is also a killer pastry counter around the corner. Staying at this hostel made me fat. No regrets. Would stay again.
The staff members were really friendly and we had a great time during a cooking class on the rooftop there. 🤗 Thank you for the wonderful time!❤️
best hostel in rabat
Bel establishment dans rabat. pleasant rooftop and friendly staff
A nice place with good rooms, the main drawbacks were that the locks on the drawers are flawed as you can simply pull the top drawer up to expose the middle drawer …. Definitely not secure enough ! + front door is in definite need of a keypad so you don’t have to wait to be buzzed in. Also, one final thing is that the staff weirdly enough withheld the WiFi password telling me that it wasn’t working, luckily my room mates informed me otherwise
Small but beautiful place. The staff were very friendly and helpful at any time. We had a two-person room with a bathroom. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed. The terasse is beautiful and has a little outside kitchen, that could’ve needed a more cooking and cleaning equipment. Anyways it was a very comfortable stay and we would highly recommend to visit Dar Oussama. Thank you :)
Solid Hostel for a low cost. Nothing too fancy, but has all the amenities needed. Staff was flexible with payment methods, which was very helpful given the closed currency in Morocco. Would return for a short trip!
Amazing hostel in the Medina. The rooftop is very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The small number of beds in each dorm really makes it feel like a vacation trip with friends. I can definitely recommend
Very nice hostel! I liked the atmosphere a lot. Easy to meet other people on the roof terrace!
Wonderful hostel, incredibly nice staff and amazing city! Can recommend!
Solid Hostel, the rooftop is cool, the staff friendly, and its located in the centre of the city. Its cool that they have lockers in the room. I really enjoyed my stay there :) You can definitely stay there for a few days.
