Happy Coco Hostel Bathigama

1 Toilet for 12 people, I accidently left my ear plugs and the owner ghosted me after asking for them. 10 people are sleeping in one room with almost no space to walk in. Hirikiteya is 20min walk away and there is only one good restaurant at the hostel.

Nous avons étés très surpris de l’endroit. Nous sommes arrivés en soirée et personne n’étaient présents pour nous indiquer quels lits prendre. Tous ou presque étaient sales, la salle d’eau est commune il n’existe pas de séparation. Il y a également qu’un seul toilette sans papier toilette. Nice Hostel, very near at the beach but very dirty, not social at all, one dark room with a lot of beds inside, little breakfast by request

I thought carefully before writing this review because it’s a new place and I don’t want to harm them, but I have to be honest. Cleanliness is very poor: I saw cockroaches twice, even on backpacks with clothes. There were spiders in my bed and a large web by my pillow. I never found the breakfast and no one explained it. The internet is basically nonexistent But the beach is amazing!

De eigenaar kwam continu de kamer binnen. De douches zijn naast elkaar zonder gordijn. Bed was comfortabel. Lokatie is perfect!

Das Hostel ist sehr süß. Man merkt, dass sich alles noch im Aufbau befindet, aber die Lage am Strand ist wunderschön. Leider nur eine Toilette, die man nicht parallel zu den Duschen nutzen kann. Erfordert Absprachen, aber alles machbar. Insgesamt für den Preis empfehlenswert

Sehr schöne lage direkt am Strand, man kann durekt zum Turtle Point laufen. Sehr netter Owner, es gibt jeden Mirgwn was kleines zum Frühstücken. Nur zur Stadt ist es etwas weiter.

Very good stay, but it’s located 3 km away from Hiriketiya. There was no curtains, and the toilet was a bit stinky. The host was nice tho.

Very good and clean Hostel with a lot potential. There is a beach and surf spot right behind the hostel - no surf rental. Bring your own board and you very much have a private beach & surf spot. You need a ride to get to Hiri

The owner was really nice and helped us organize some travels. His mom made us breakfast and even invited us to go to the Tempel with her. It’s really close to a beach. The only thing is that the room is a bit small for 10 beds but it really is manageable we stayed three nights and it was fine!

I had a great time here. The owner is super nice and I met two very good friends here that I stayed with the whole time I was in town. I would recommend.

He tenido muy buena experiencia en happy coco, está un poco apartado de todo pero eso genera también mucha tranquilidad y paz, tienes prácticamente una playa privada junto al hostel. Las vibes de las personas del hostel y del propietario ( Sikka ) han sido muy positivas y acogedoras, lo recomiendo totalmente.

Had such a lovely stay here, it’s right on a beautiful beach, great for shell hunting and seeing turtles and met some amazing people during my stay at this hostel. The host is really lovely too. Thank you!

Great location, very friendly staff, and excellent value for money. The hostel has a welcoming vibe, clean rooms, and a comfortable common area to relax or meet other travelers. Highly recommend!

It was so close to a silent beach, which was very nice! To dorm room was fresh and nice and had good curtains. Only thing that could be nice to have is more chilling area, except the big table area outside.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the hostel is right at the beach and I met lots of nice people there! Also the owner is very kind and funny :)

I had such an amazing stay, Sikka is an amazing host and very helpful with everything!! Hostel is right on the beach and a short 5 minute walk to turtle point beach for amazing snorkeling!! Place was very clean and comfy beds with great AC. Would definitely recommend!!

The location is beautiful

I had such a lovely time at Happy Coco hostel. The vibe was always on point and the host, Sikka, was always really helpful. If you’re up for a challenge, make sure to challenge him to a game of Karrom while you’re here. The beaches nearby are beautiful and if you’re lucky you might see a few turtles!!

Amazing hostel

Sehr schönes Hostel, die Lage ist super, direkt am Strand, sehr ruhig und man kann zu Fuß zum Turtle View Point gehen. Der Owner ist auch Mega nett und hilfsbereit

Great hostel. Bedroom backs onto a nice patio and garden with the beach at the end. The beds were so comfy and the AC was good. Everything was clean and the staff were really nice. In a good location just a few minutes from loads of cafes and restaurants. Very simple and not super social. Warning there aren’t dividers in the shower room so it’s just a row of showers.

Really great location on the hostel very chill and right next to the beach. The owners are really nice and very welcoming. Room is also very clean.
