Really good hostel but very empty, not social at all

A good place to stay for a short stay in Alleppey. Not very close to the main bit of town and the beach isn’t quite nice enough to warrant staying so close compared to the backwaters. Cafe food was very good and quick and the dorm was spotless, the bathroom too.

I had an amazing experience at this hostel. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the atmosphere was peaceful and calm. The hostel has its own restaurant with delicious dishes. But most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the manager and owner went above and beyond to help me find excursions (boat trips) and even accommodation in other regions. Hostel is on the beach, clean and new. Beds are really comfortable and I recommend doing the country boat tour in the backwaters with the hostel.

Un personnel glacial et hautain qui vous indique tout ce qui interdit sans dire bonjour. Aucune ambiance. Auberge belle et propre mais très éloignée de la ville.

Super endroit. Bien positionné, propre et ayant tous les services nécessaires sur place. Le seul problème, c’est que dans les dortoirs c’est très bruyant.

The property is clean, modern, and looks premium, but it fails as a hostel. It feels like a fancy Airbnb with no vibe or community. The large café at the entrance makes it feel commercial, not traveler-friendly. The operations manager (the bearded guy) is rude and unwelcoming. An Italian guest left his backpack after checkout, which is standard hostel practice, but was told to either eat at the café or leave when he came to collect it. This is poor hospitality. Amazing location and hotel vibe dorms giving a luxury feeling. Miss having a connection point for solo travelers. Restaurant is open for everyone so can be a bit difficult to point out who’s staying and who’s not. Upon arrival you agree that the hostel isn’t for kids but there will be kids in the restaurant.. I really enjoyed my stay at monkey tribe Alleppey. It is still new so there were not too many guests but the atmosphere was still nice. The dorms are quite big and they provide proper blankets which I loved. The food was also good. Only thing that was a bit unfortunate is that they do not accept international card payments, cash only and then they can’t really give you change. Also the common area wasn’t used a lot but otherwise I was satisfied.

Lovely place to stay if you’d rather be on the beach then the backwaters. Rooms have an amazing view and are clean. The staff were lovely and the owner helped us booking the next part of our trip which was amazing!

Great stay at Alleppey! Brand new hostel right on the beach. Nice helpful staff, big clean rooms and the restaurant was really good. Only complaints would be that there’s no hot water and they don’t currently take card payments.

Seemed like a very new hostel, lovely staff who will help with boat rides, room seems brand new. Filtered water readily available. Location is great with a tasty cafe right next door, right on the beach and restaurants within a few minutes walk

So lucky to have come here, great property for just opening! Everyone was so nice and helpful, and the food was FANTASTIC!

the hostel is beautifull, located in front of the beach. there are also some cafes around. Everything was clean, the beds were confy. the rooms had lockers and a nice balcony. the rooftop was beautifull like the restaurant. the staff was very helpful and kind. would definitely recommend! :)
