Tanoa Skylodge Hotel

I stayed in here for 2 nights and when I read the reviews I was a bit worried about bed bugs, but when I arrived staff very friendly and helpful, room was clean and no bed bugs, we really enjoyed and stay.

Originally, I would have rated it about 3 stars but upon discovering the hotel gave me bed bugs, it has completely ruined the entire experience for me. Booking.com also will not respond about this matter. The rooms weren't very clean. The restaurant's food was pretty abhorrent - though that may be because I have different tastes. They also only do one cocktail, despite having images of all of these different ones. Breakfast was pretty dismal, but they were kind enough to not charge me for eggs my way given my allergies. However, most of the staff were fairly surly, (not Divya, she was lovely! There was one another woman who helped us the first night with a pizza, but I don't remember her name) despite constant politeness to try and win them over. The location is fine if you don't mind getting a lot of taxis to take you places, but it adds up and majority will just try and screw you over to get more money. I contacted booking.com about a refund (I even attached a letter from my doctor confirming the bed bugs), because I believe it only fair that I get a refund, cause bed bugs ain't it!

Worst resort to be in . Our room was full of cockroaches and bed bugs.Ants all around the pool seats.Very run down place needs renovations i should have seen previous reviews before making bookings.

Had a layover and opted to save a few dollars and try Tanoa Skylodge. That was a BAD idea. Terrible food, bad service, and BEDBUGS! We were bit by daid bedbugs and had to switch rooms at midnight. The shuttle was 20min late in the morning even though Jim had promised 6am sharp pickup on a Sunday, and we missed our flight. Very, very, outdated hotel.

Close to the airport when we had arrived after a very long day and a good shower, staff were nice, so glad Mala was there to help us check in.. probably all I can say that was good about the sky lodge. Room NOTHING LIKE AS ADVERTISED!!! was dirty and soo small for 2 of us we’re squeezing pat each other all the time, I always had new itchy bites after sleeping in the bed now I look I’ve seen many reviews on bed bugs YUCK, our bathroom was never cleaned, the maids forgot to give us fresh towels half of our stay (which was 7 nights) always had to ask. The ‘taxi driver’ Kris is such a con artist don’t ever drive with him he’s a nice guy but only because he wants your money, shows you brochures but quickly snatched them away before you see you can actually get free transfer and food including in most tours. Taxis are very cheap don’t listen to Kris he’s not giving you a deal. Wouldn’t recommend this ‘hotel’ to anyone. The staff were lovely but, unless it’s for one night because of it being close to the airport, don’t book this horrid hotel.

Very cheap found bed bugs on the bed and head board. They should change bedding matteress etc. Location is good but very dirty rooms. They should have refunded my money
