The dorm is nice but this is not a social hostel at all ! no bar, no coffee machine, nothing. There wasn’t even any tissue in the bathroom, not a single cotton pad, nothing. I’ve stayed in other hostels for the same price, and they at least provided some basic bathroom products. if you simply looking for a quiet place to sleep, this hostel is the perfect option.

Les llamé y no contestaron, les mandé varios email y tampoco respondieron, necesitaba hacer el check in antes, incluso les dije que les pagaba más porque llegaba de Tokyo a las 5:30 am después de un autobús nocturno y nunca me respondieron. Pésimo servicio, tal vez una explicación o un mensaje diciéndome que no se podía y dándome una solución, hubiera sido lo correcto, pero decidieron ignorarme.

The bed was very small, uncomfortable and smelt bad. The hostel does not really look like it does in the photos and there are pretty basic facilities.

It was overall just not very great. First impressions were good, but there was only one bathing area, and we had to track down two floors anytime we wanted to take a shower. Towels cost 100¥ which is frankly crazy to me. There was a rest room in each floor, but most of them were mixed gender, which feels kind of unsafe for female solo travellers. worthless if you cant have wifi in your bed

…. one hour after i checked in some guy was m@sterb8ting in the dormitory…… he wasn’t being quiet about it either and didn’t have his curtains closed 🙃 pretty sure he was doing drugs. other than that i liked the bed layout. there are hair dryers, shampoo, earplugs for you to use. while there is a security locker it’s for small valuables… your suitcases will be out in the open..kind of. i booked a hotel after this lol

Stort og velholdt hostel med fine forhold og generelt høj rengøringsstandart. Et stort minus er, at man skal i i kælderen for at komme til køkkenet/fællesområdet/i bad. Køkkenet er meget sparsomt og det hele minder om en kantine. Der er ingen mennesker der benytter disse områder. Generelt er dette ikke et socialt hostel så hvis du leder efter samvær med andre så er dette ikke stedet, hvilket ødelagde oplevelsen og opholdet for mig desværre.

Actually I didnt left as a friend and the social aspects are 0 in this hostel. But my room was quite nice. BUT it was very unclean. I found stuff under my bed (right after checking in) there were leftover nails from clipping the footnail which disgusted me a bit and i found a yellow sock from the person before me. Please clean the rooms better thanks!

I wouldn’t recommend this hostel for female solo travelers. The showers are separated by s*x, but the toilet rooms are not. So while you’re using the toilet there might be a group of men chatting by the sinks or using the urinal which is not a comfortable or safe situation for a young woman. Everything was clean and worked perfectly but there is zero social atmosphere. The staff is also unable to answer questions about the facilities even though they speak great English.

The staff was extremely incompetent when it came to the check in and check out process. Both times took 15-20 minutes.

Great spot overall, the staff were very friendly and hosted fun social events at night. Facilities were very good and would definitely recommend.

Devo ammettere che ero un po’ preoccupata per il dormitorio misto, ma non ho avuto problemi ed il locker incluso nella prenotazione è stato un benefit apprezzato. L’ostello è organizzato benissimo, i letti hanno un minimo di spazio di lato con un piccolo tavolino, quindi non ci si sente claustrofobici dentro. Camerata tranquilla e bagni puliti e sempre disponibili. La cucina al piano -2 è vivibile e mai affollata, c’è anche una zona tatami per il relax. Il deposito bagagli è molto c...

Perfectly reasonable hostel well situated to explore Kyoto. I had a private room on the third floor, it was fine and people were quiet and respectful. It would’ve improved by a kettle in the room especially as the kitchen is in the basement. They do not provide towels even for private rooms which is a bit cheap. There were toilets and sinks on the third floor but you have to go to the basement to shower. Good laundry facilities and free detergent. Not a very social place, staff just ok

This is a strange hostel. Everything is super enclosed. I did a shared with 4 beds. The space was clean and nice. You couldn’t hear much going on outside which was also nice. But this was anti-friendly in approach. The dining facility was nice. It felt as if I was back in college a little bit with all the rules. But the value of money and the shower rooms were great so I enjoyed that!

amazing hostel with affordable single rooms, amazing facilities especially the showers. great location to get to everywhere you need in kyoto. well worth the money just understand it's not the most social place in the world.

I enjoyed my stay here. The beds were quite spacious and comfortable, and the common areas and bathrooms were always clean. Short walk to Teramachi Shopping Street and Nishiki Market. The hostel itself seemed more like a shared hotel than a hostel, and felt isolating at times.

Hatte ein Einzelzimmer, das billiger war als die Betten im Dorm. Der Gemeinschaftsraum ist riesig und sehr schön, Küche hat alles! Viele duschen und Toiletten, hat sich fast nach Spa angefühlt. Menschen an Rezeption sehr cool! Waschen und trocknen sehr billig.

Best hostel I’ve been in, ever. First - reeally cheap. But what you get for the price, I have not gotten in places 5x more expensive. Very cool vibe. Calm, quiet, modern and clean dormitory spaces with lots of room to not feel cramped. Great facilities (excellent showers, toilets, laundry, …). I don’t use shared spaces but they looked great too (common room, lounge). Staff was nice as well. Easy check in and check out. Cannot recommend enough.

I booked a single room but it got messed up so I had to stay in a shared room.

Rooms and beds were very comfortable. Overall super nice hostel. Only note is that the rooms are very hot - I was sweating all night. We adjusted the thermostat but I don’t think they worked.

Just stayed here for a couple of nights in a private room with my friend. Beds were comfy and plenty big enough, light for each bed, curtains, usb and plug sockets right by the pillow. The common space is large with a bunch of different games (connect 4, catan etc…) and spacious kitchen. But the best part - the staff let me take one of the books that had been left behind on the little library shelf. Dream book! Thank you!!!!

Had a lovely stay here the facilities were great it was clean and in a good location. The receptionist Nao was very helpful if we had any questions

J’ai adoré le dortoir, il y a beaucoup d’espace et c’est bien organisé. J’ai extrêmement bien dormis pendant mes 4 nuits c’était super agréable! j’ai enlever un petit point pour l’emplacement et l’ambiance sinon kyoto top je recommande cette ville trop chou

While the price for a private room is unbeatable and there are a lot of cafes and conbinis around, I will say that the main point of improvement is the opening hours for the reception. I’m not asking for a 24/7 reception, but opening the reception until 10 AM is too late. I got left out of my room around 5 AM and had to wait outside with only my pajamas for 5 hours until it opened. I know it was my fault for leaving the key inside, but the hostel should think about these possibilities.
