This was the worst hostel me and my girlfriend have ever stayed in. The bed was so worn out, I felt the metal bars through my bed. I was not given bed sheet covers, and was told none were left when I asked for one. Another man was assigned to one of our beds. We left food in the fridge overnight and got it stolen. The kitchen was big, but a woman at the hostel kept half reserved so everyone was crammed in a tiny space. I never left a negative review before, but a fair warning now seems necessary
Honestly the worst hostal I’ve stayed at ever. The 4 person dorm was a OVEN. 1 FAN. no one at front desk for check in, the owner (I think) was really really rude and stayed up talking outside the room until 2am. Lights outside the room didn’t turn off until 3am. 1 toilet for guys, and 2 dirty showers. Wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me to.
Mon avis est influencé par un incident survenu dans l’auberge.j’ai été attaquée par un chat de rue nourri par le personnel alors que je déjeunais dans la cuisine, sans l’avoir touché ni provoqué. J’ai dû suivre un protocole antirabique, ce qui m’a fait perdre du temps et causé beaucoup de stress. My opinion is influenced by an incident that occurred in the inn.I was attacked by a street cat fed by the staff while I was having lunch in the kitchen, without having touched or provoked it.I had to follow an anti-rabies protocol, which wasted my time and caused a lot of stress.The staff is friendly and the kitchen is functional, but I was accommodated in a room of 8 instead of 4, with a dirty bathroom and cockroaches.

The staff made me wait at the desk for 20 minutes when there was no one else waiting so they could make their dinner and chat. I thought it was disrespectful. My check in process took 5 minutes I'm not sure why the guest was put on the back burner? I also found hair in my bed, after that- I ended up just getting an Airbnb. No AC. If people smoke and your room is off the kitchen, good luck. Lockers are very small.

First negative rating I leave of a hostel as a traveler.The hotel is not bad.But, there is no staff to attend to you!Already the day I arrived at about 7.00 a.m. a guest opened the door for me.That night, At 2.00 a.m. they were supposed to pick me up in a shuttle, I depended on the internet, it fell all night, politely tried to call the receptionists (volunteers) who sleep there, no one helped me.At 6-7 a.m. there was still no wifi, I knocked on the door several times, nothing.

Only stayed for 1 night to get a flight in the morning. Woke up with hundreds of bites all over my body, so I imagine there’s a lot of bed bugs. Wasn’t clean and there were bugs everywhere. No really storage place for belongings. I wouldn’t stay here again

Die Küche, insbesondere der Kühlschrank war wirklich dreckig. Es war kein Platz mehr im Kühlschrank, weil er so überfüllt war mit unter anderem alten Lebensmitteln. Die Zimmer waren sauber allerdings gab es keine Ablage am Bett. Zudem hatten wir ein vierer Zimmer gebucht und geschlafen haben dort fünf. Das Personal war sehr oberflächlich, und uns wurde nur kurz das Zimmer und WC gezeigt den Rest durften wir selber herausfinden. Lange Wartezeiten beim Check In und Out. Wir kommen nicht wie...
The kitchen, especially the fridge, was really dirty. There was no room in the fridge anymore because it was so full of old foodstuffs and stuff. The rooms were clean, but there was no bedside table. We also had booked a fourth room and slept there five. The staff was very shallow, and we were only briefly shown the room and toilet. The rest we dared to find out for ourselves. Long wait times at check-in and check-out. We won't come back.
Un des seuls hostel de la ville a prix abordable. Pas d'ambiance très sociale dans l'hostel mais comme on est tous backpackers on peut faire des rencontres. cuisine ok. l'hostel est pas parfaitement situé dans un quartier cool mais est pile a mi chemin entre le centre historique a l'est, et le quartier cool a l'ouest, donc les deux sont accessibles pour ceux qui aiment marcher ! après pour sortir vaut mieux aller ailleurs que ce quartier (safe mais il y a rien)

stay was okay, everything is very simple. atmosphere was low bc nobody realy talked to eachother. host checked me in, showed my my bed and thats it. i had to ask where the toilets are and that there is a terrace i found out by myself. unfortunatly san salvador has not yet a big hostel Community so this is maybe compared to the others a better one
Value for money wasn’t great - kitchen really worn down and not a very social vibe. Also super hot in the rooms without aircon. Staff didn’t really interact with the guests or contribute to the vibe, more of a bnb
Endroit très charmant mais aurait besoin d'un peu d'amour. L'endroit est un peu sale, mais pas insalubre non plus et il fait très chaud dans les chambres. Le parc devant est très beau.
The place is a little dirty, but not unsanitary either and it's very hot in the rooms. the park in front is very beautiful.

Buen Hostel para descansar, pero no hay actividades sociales ni es muy atractivo, la ubicación es excelente, tiene una parada de bus justo al frente y es una zona muy segura con restaurantes cerca, pero las camas no tienen cortinas y no hay mucho para hacer, si buscas solo descansar es el lugar perfecto 💯
Good hostel to relax, but no social activities nor is it very attractive, the location is excellent, it has a bus stop right in front and it is a very safe area with restaurants nearby, but the beds have no curtains and there is not much to do, if you are looking for solo relaxation is the perfect place

I stayed 2 nights in the 8 bed female dorm. The hostel is really great, has free water to refill, is 30min away from the center & has some good street food around. Only the basics were missing for me: curtain & lamp on the bed. Also there were some weird people & the vibe was not the best. Still I would come back!
Pros: Hot showers! Clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice terrace. Cons: the mattress (bed 2 in the courtyard dorm) was one of the worst I’ve ever slept on, it desperately needs replacing. The room doesn’t have a fan so it’s boiling hot unless you open the window and then you are invaded by mosquitos.
Just stayed here for a night. Was pretty comfortable. First time I had a hot shower in all of El Salvador. Bathroom could use a mat. Good WiFi. Nice staff. 30 min walk to center. Good hangout spaces and big kitchen.
Dayana was an amazing receptionist. She helped me to book a taxi . I can say she was the best employee here. I was not impressed with how this place was managed. There was little communication between staff and paying guests. 1/2 of the kitchen was for staff, it had the best dishes, cutlery, food, appliances etc with signs posted ' do not touch " staff only. I have stayed in many hostels and I have never seen or experienced such arrogance. The guest side was dirty & unkept . not a social hostal.

Me gustó el lugar y el ambiente solo considerar que está a 25 min caminando del centro y en la noche no hay mucha iluminación en el camino aunque es seguro
I liked the place and the atmosphere just considering it's a 25 minute walk from the center and at night there's not much lighting on the road although it's safe
I loved the stay at Hostel Cumbres, especially because of the people and staff! Highly recommended! :)
