Flying Dog Hostels Backpackers

Not much thought has gone into this place and into making the guest comfortable. It is more a collection of old, discarded furniture crammed into a place, calling it a hostel. Loveless really. From the furniture, to the paintwork, the sockets and especially the kitchen. Plus, one toilet was in disrepair, no soap in the girls’ washroom, and on my last day there was a water cut (probably not their fault but added to the rest). The mattress was very good though.

The room I got was not the one shown. Depending on which room you get if it’s close to the entrance you will hear a lot of footsteps and movement, and at around midnight the staff may be moving things around in the storage room. The location of the hostel however is quite convenient, many restaurants and markets/stores near by.

Good for one night, Just really noisy. If they would take the efford to make the dorms more closed off from sounds outside it would one hundred percent give a better experience since the building itself is really charming and full of character. Not much sociale atmosphere during my stay but arrive late and left early.

Very nice hostel with a great location! The host was really sweet and answered all of our questions. Not a social place, but perfect if you want to stay relax.

Good location, might have been unlucky with our roomies but didn’t sleep well and beds weren’t old. Fine for a quick night

Very strange atmosphere. Bathrooms don’t seem to be cleaned very often, and there aren’t enough. The private room we stayed in wasn’t dirty but was slightly grimy. The sheets and bed were good though. 24 hour check in was helpful. Location is nice lots to do in the area. Kitchen facilities are ok but right next to the room which made it noisy. A stray cat also wandered into our room. 5/10

Muy buen hostal! Excelente ubicación, la habitación privada que reserve era amplia y cómoda, quizás deberían poner algún ventilador para los días calurosos! Por lo demás todo bien.

La habitación de 4 horrible. Tenía un hueco en la pared gigante donde se escuchaba a la habitación de al lado. Si abrías la ventana, venía todo el olor de la cocina del restaurante de al lado. Nada recomendable

Well-situated hostel next to a park, the personnel is amazing and very helpful (find a taxi to or from the airport, give you tips about the surroundings). Very practical and cheap, 10/10 would recommend.

We did not enjoy our stay due to a few issues. We used the laundry service, our white clothes came back pink. The shower temperature would fluctuate between hot and cold and the pressure would come and go too. There is no soundproofing in the rooms as the windows face inwards and are always open, so we were woken every day by people in the kitchen. The cleaner would watch tv on her phone at full volume right outside our room. Every evening the whole hostel smells of the restaurant below

really nice little hostel right next to kennedy park (the cat park). lots of shops & restaurants around. staff are super friendly and helpful and the facilities are very clean. i didn't want a party hostel, so for that it was perfect. almost too perfect, if you want to socialize and connect, either this might not be the right place for you or my timing was bad :) two small things i didn't like: the sofas in the common room don't feel clean anymore and the power outlets in my room were loose.

Great spot to see the sights in Miraflores! Mere feet from Parque Kennedy yet the location was still quiet. The room was clean and security was great as far as access to the hostel. Tons of restaurants and grocery options nearby.

The staff were nice but I would probably avoid this hostel or at least the four bed dorm for the following reasons; it was right next to a restaurant kitchen, meaning it was hot, the whole room and my clothes/hair smelled of frying food, I could hear the radio next door from when I went to bed til when I woke up :( finally there were no charging sockets close to the bed, and so cramped there was really no room for bags or hanging out. for the same money you could get something so much better!

I just stayed for one night but is right in Parque Kennedy around tons of restaurants and night life. Seems a little bit old but is pretty clean and the bed is comfortable. The private room is too small so the heat feels bad and Lima being such a noicy city, opening the window is not an option so a fan would be awesome. Apparently it included breakfast in a nearby restaurant but I left too early, so couldn't try. Gated entrance which make it feel safe. Adorable cat in the premises. Overall would...

Good basic hostel right in the center. Has more of a hotel vibe than a hostel vibe.
