It’s a shame you can’t do lower than 1 star !!! Horrific stay, felt like a 24 hour challenge to stay here and I escaped within 15hrs to new hostel !!! One night in El Salvador prison offered no toilet, no bed sheet, broken shower, unwashed sheets (which gave my friend bed bug bites), and when I asked for money/ refund back the lovely women laughed in my face !!! I found it was better on the streets with the dogs than here, the one part about this stay I enjoyed, was leaving !! Writing this from the 5 of us who stayed here. - Barry Munk

Review for private FAN room. Incredibly hot( hotter than outside). One standing fan. Mattress super worn, uncomfortable. Shower dirty and no lock. Bucket flush toilet had to walk through bar area to reach. Private room we actually booked was “unavailable”…. A trick? BEDBUG bites found afterwards. NOT sanitary. Saving grace; nice staff and pancakes, cheap bar. Not sure what the dorm is like. But avoid this private room if you want a decent nights sleep. Needs a serious refurb.

Positive: very friendly owner and staff, very good pancakes for breakfirst are included. Negative: toilet and showers are very dirty, bedroom ist very small and not comfortable, matress ist very thin, we had bed bugs (had bites the next day), a lot of ants in the room We would not recommend stay :(the food and drinks were good, even though we later saw the cats laying on the kitchen working place…

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at the hotel. We booked for two nights, but left after one night without being refund. Honestly the room wasn't clean, there were bugs in the beds and big cockroaches on the floor. There is no air conditioning although it is indicated yes on their online reservation. In the room, the toilet did not work and there was no sink. The beds are not comfortable at all and do not seem clean. The only positive point is that the owner is very welcoming and friendly, the wifi is good and there is free breakfast. I am sorry for having to write a negative comment on his hotel. it’s not expensive but this is the worst hotel i have been to. Unfortunately I do not recommend this hotel.
