Ich übernachtete in einem 8-Personen-Zimmer. Preislich lag ich mit Steuern bei knapp über 50€ für eine Nacht. Ich reiste mit Fahrrad an - hier verlangte man 3,50€ extra für die Einlagerung- so weit so gut. In meinem Zimmer bezog ich meine Plastikmatratze selbst - auch das war okay. Allerdings war das Zimmer so warm, dass ich - lediglich in Unterwäsche bekleidet - schwitzte und an der Matratze klebte. I was charged for 5 people instead of 4 even after cancelling one of the people weeks in adavnce. The hostel acknowledged that I had cancelled but still charged me for 5 people and also sold that persons bed. Everything else about the hotsel was great

I want to start with something positive.The location of the hostel is in the centre of Alkmaar and the staffs are nice.Unfortunately the rooms have no windows, are really dark and there are no closets. The beds are really shaky and you recognise everything what the person above you does.But the worst is, they also let me double pay. I payed when I arrived and after I left they deducted it from the credit card. I called them and also wrote mails but they always have excuses for not paying it back

Je suis une étudiante qui voyage solo, j’ai décidé de prendre une chambre à 4 avec seulement des femmes. La femme avec moi était fort probablement une sans-abris. Je ne me sentais pas en securité. Il ni avait ni rideau, ni locker dans la chambre pour mettre mes choses la nuit, j’ai donc dormi avec. La cuisine ( constitué d’un micro-ondes et frigo) était infestée de mouches.

Fomos atendidos de maneira muito arrogante e vimos ratos passando no local comum.

This isn't really a hostel at least from my sense of the place. The people staying there are staying longer probably since the housing situation in the Netherlands is so mismanaged. This place is profiting off of that. Further when I went in my room wasn't great. There are no individual outlets per bad nor were there lockers.

Hi there, rooms with no window is a no-go for me! Even more so, if there are rooms available with a (roof-) window. Breakfast excellent!

Hostel in sehr guter Lage. Allerdings konnte man bei der Buchung nicht feststellen dass man ein Zimmer ohne Fenster und ohne Klimaanlage bekommt. Um wenigstens etwas Luft ins Zimmer zu bekommen haben wir die Türe offen gelassen. Das war äußerst unangenehm. Glücklicherweise haben wir nur eine Nacht gebucht.

Staff and location is perfect. Room was very hot and not ventilated. Not recommended...

Super Preis leistungsverhältnis, kleines, sauberes Zimmer, es ist - wie immer in Holland- recht hellhörig, dafür gab es direkt ohrstöpsel auf dem Bett.😂 Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, Frühstück gut in netter Atmosphäre. Ist halt kein fünf Sterne Hotel, aber Eber seinen Preis auf jeden Fall wert.

The staff was nice and the location was good. Everything was clean as well. This hostel is certainly not a youth hostel or a good place to meet people, but you know that coming in. No complaints other than my room had a rather atrocious smell due to one of the people staying in the room that had little to do with the hostel itself. DO BEWARE that there are no lockers in the room, and you have to walk down a flight of stairs and a hallway to get to them

Zimmer 28 nachts etwas laut, da Fenster mit Lichtschacht verbunden und Möwengeschrei dadurch laut. Wir waren mit den Rädern da. Beim Check in fragten wir nach einem sicherem Unterstellplatz. Uns wurde der öffentliche Parkplatz in der City aufgezeigt. Wir dachten, das wäre ein Parkplatz für Autos. Den separaten Eingang für die Räder haben wir erst nicht gefunden. Dies könnte viel mehr noch beworben werden.

All very good. The only negative was, there was no China or cutlery in the kitchen

The provided lockers are very small, so there's no way to safely and conveniently store my luggage. The room was also way too warm.

the hostel is 15mins walk from the Alkmaar train station. The room does not a window, so it is a bit dark. The matress is too soft and not so comfortable. The room has no locker 😅

My favorite place in alkmaar. Great breakfast, well tapped beers. Great cleanliness. I was supposed to stay only 2 nights and it became 9. A place 2 steps away from the nightlife.

Prima hostel voor weinig. Echter geen ramen in de kamers, waardoor je echt in een ongeventileerde bunker slaapt. Kamers wel schoon. De banken werden rond half 8 verwijderd, waardoor je niet meer normaal kon zitten of eten. Toen ik vroeg of ik toch ergens kon eten werd mij de vraag gesteld of ik niet op mn bed kon gaan zitten… Beetje jammer. Verder vreemde sfeer in het hostel, niet heel veilig gevoel. Dit kwam denk ik door de gasten die er waren. Verder echt top locatie en prima voor 2 nachten...

Zimmer leider ohne Fenster, Belüftung war aber okay, deshalb ein Stern Abzug

Great location in the middle of Alkmaar with all shops nearby and also short walk from station. Only complaint would be the lack of windows and poor ventilation in the rooms.

Tolle Lage, sehr zentral. Leider war keine richtig Küche vorhanden, nur eine Mikrowelle und ein Wasserkocher. Es hatte Ameisen in der Küche und es hätte allgemein etwas sauberer sein dürfen. Es hatte eher ältere Leute und man lernte kaum neue Leute kennen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend, wir konnten sogar ohne Aufpreis das Zimmer wechseln, weil wir uns mit den anderen Zimmergenossen nicht so wohl fühlten.
