Unfortunately, I can’t leave a very positive review. The private room was far too expensive for what you get. The rooms are extremely hot (some ppl slept outside because of the heat) , the fans barely work, you can’t open a window, and the WiFi doesn’t work at all. On the positive side, it’s a very social hostel and I met a lot of great people. But the hostel should either improve the rooms or lower the prices.

In our opinion overpriced for the standard. The showers are so bad. People puked in the showers and also in the dorm. Really noisy (party hostel so thats fine). The bar is really nice tho.

Friendly staff, nice activities. The hostel is good, except the private rooms in my opinion. We got there on a Saturday and the windows were rattling because the music on the roof terrace (the floor above) was so loud until midnight. You can also hear anything that happens in the hallways, basically the noise levels are similar to a dorm room. Also the bathroom flooded anytime we showered, the bed is pretty small, the bed sheets didn't really fit and there is no ventilation other then openwindow

Reserve habitacion privada y estaba al lado de la recepcion por lo tanto muy ruidosa. Todos los que me atendieron eran voluntarios, por lo cual la calidad de informacion y servicion no es el mejor. No ofrecen ni desayuno ni comida y en la noche no tienen Recepcion. Es una opcion demasiado low cost, pero la habitacion privada no es tan economica comparado al servicio que dan.

One of the worst hostels I have stayed at in my life. The staff is unmotivated and sometimes even rude, there are not sufficient social areas for the size of the hostel and the location is in the Center of Mexico City, but far away from the nice areas of the city. Furthermore, most of the rooms do not have a window, even though the description and pictures on Hostelworld show one. In general, the hostel is too big. So I would not recommend the hostel at all, there are way better options in CDMX!

The worst hostel I ever stay

I booked a private room for a week. Cons: massively overpriced for the (non)service. My bin was not emptied all week; cold showers 3/7 days; showers either scalding or cold. Room was not cleaned once. No food on site. Cheaper to get a hotel. Pros: Activities were great, Victor on the food tour was excellent and Deanna works so hard! Big kitchen. A sociable hostel, just don’t bother with a private room; get a dorm or stay elsewhere as you can still join the activities.

The hostel lacks local staff, which really brings an accommodation down, in my view. The clientele are fine if you are in your 20s, don't mind stepping over people's belongings, underwear and knickers etc. The organized activities are irregular, overpriced, and primarily for those in their 20s. It ran out of water, toilet paper, and hand towels daily. It's not clean and had cig butts all over the place. There where people having sex on the toilet next to me, while I was showering.

Had a really fun time, it’s especially great vibes on Friday/sat night. Really friendly people and volunteers. Hostel activity trips are overpriced, but lots on offer.

Pros: In the city center near plenty of food spots. Has a rooftop bar. Cons: WiFi was really spotty majority of stay. While the rooftop bar was nice, they party past 11pm which is their advertised quiet time. If you have a window in your room, you will hear it all night. There is no AC in the room so some nights were hot.

Fantastic hostel in an easy location accessible to everything. The hostel vibe is fantastic and the staff do a great job at promoting and providing different events, tours and even provide a list of must sees upon arrival. The rooms have plenty of space and a great layout. Would highly recommend Apapacho and would certainly stay again.

I wanted to like this hostel but it just wasn’t good value for money. I booked a private room at $100aud a night to get some work done but the wifi hardly worked - it claims on the website this hostel is good for digital nomads? Also the room was extremely hot with no air flow and no curtain on the giant window near the door so the room was lit up by the hallway light all night. I would stay in Roma or Condesa next time for better value for money and a better all round vibe.

This hostel really changed my life. The atmosphere and the people are so genuine and so hospitable. Please stay here it’s the BEST HOSTEL IN MEXICO CITY

Best atmosphere of any hostel I’ve been to. Heaps of solo travellers and for such a big hostel it still felt so friendly and welcoming. The rooftop is the highlight for sure. My only complaint is that the top bunks are pretty hard to get in and out of but that’s ok!

Incredible hostel. Good vibes, very good for solo travellers. You can easily meet and chat to people and if you want an earlier night, the rooms are pretty quiet and the party ends/leaves the hostel by 11/midnight which was nice for a mix of partying and sleeping haha

Stayed here for almost a week and honestly could have stayed longer. The atmosphere is what makes this place special. Super easy to meet people, the rooftop always had something going on, and the staff made everyone feel welcome right away. Def one of my favorite hostel experiences in Mexico City

Such a good vibe from the second you walk in. Met amazing people here and ended up exploring the city with them every day. The hostel feels social in a really natural way.

Perfect balance between social and relaxed. You can hang out and meet people if you want, but it’s also calm enough to rest and recharge after a day in the city.

The kind of hostel that changes your trip. I ended up finding a really fun community of travelers and had a blast.

The rooftop at night was easily my favorite part. Good music, good conversations, and such a welcoming crowd. I came by myself but never felt alone here

I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels around Mexico and this one had one of the best vibes. Easy to meet people, good music playing in the evenings, and everyone working there seemed genuinely happy to help. The tacos nearby were unreal too.
