Views from the hostel are amazing and the breakfast in the morning is delicious. We also appreciated the hot showers! It does get quite chilly at night and we would have liked if somebody was at reception more regularly to help with advice.
Booked a private room - incredible view and cute pink details. However WiFi didn’t work on the top floor and was a walk down to shower. Not many people staying so it did feel a bit creepy with all the wind and dogs barking! Met some lovely people at the communal breakfast. Breakfast is a cool experience but no healthy options - fried tortilla, meat, etc.
The family is friendly&breakfast is a huge vegetarian meal (she tried to give me vegan option). The dorms&the house are pretty colourful decorated with 2 cool terraces, but could be cleaner. Especially outdoor toilet. The dorm has not really curtains so it's bright, lot of bathrooms/aren't able to be really locked (&smell intense because of a cleaning product I guess).in one you can see in.the single room under the roof was really hot&all the dogs barking at night&morning even louder.slept bad
Location I loved, but not everybody is gonna appreciate the long walk up the steps :D Breakfast was a real highlight: home-cooked Mexican food, huge portions, fresh fruit - every day. Mattress was maybe the hardest I've ever slept on. Lighting in the bathroom was dreadful - one white lamp off to the side, so it's impossible to shave or check your face as you can only see one side of it. No place to put your stuff in there - a bamboo table wouldn't be a bad idea.
This place could be terrible, a d the view from the terrace would still give it a 3-star rating - you won’t find many places better, whether sunrise, daytime, sunset or moonrise, it’s magical. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Abuela’s breakfast is whatever she fancies on the day but you won’t feel cheated on the portion and despite the strange room layout, this was one of the best night’s sleeps I’ve had so far.
The stairs are killer, man, especially if you're getting back drunk. haha Having to go up every time you leave sucks. But it's a beautiful hostel. It's clean and you get free breakfast. The terrace is really cool also. You are on the outskirts of the city though so you have to walk. But walking is good. Very hard to get help at the front desk. They're almost non existent. But if you find the very sweet lady that cooks for everyone, she'll make sure you get help. I would recommend it.
Top of a hill, so enjoy that! Great views tho and comfortable bed! Had a good stay
位置很好,价格便宜,早餐不错。插座太少了,房间里有点闷。
The kindest woman you will find is the hostess of this hostel. Because of work I couldn’t make the breakfast hours. When at lunch time I wanted to leave for the city, I was told to sit down at the kitchen table and she made me a whole lunch 😍. From the rooftop of this hostel you have a beautiful view over the city of Guanajuato. But for real, go here to enjoy true Mexican hospitality! The hostess is very interested in all of her guests and is very open in talking about her experiences as we...

Yall, this is the best hostel ive ever stayed at in my life. I immediately felt like part of the family. I was not only provided with unbeatable hospitality and care, I was given opportunities to interact and enlace myself with community. There are a lot of stairs to get here. I must say it is worth it. The house is absolutely gorgeous with a courtyard and incredible design and functional architecture. The food, divine, and the people who work here make this place the best hostel experience
This hostel made my trip to Guanajuato so special! The two terraces overlook the city which is the real Guanajuato experience. Great location (close enough to the centre but quiet at night). The hostel is owned by a lovely woman called Irene, who cooks the most delicious and hearty breakfasts. The property is very clean and I can’t wait to stay here when I return to this amazing city. No hesitation- you must stay here!
One of my favorite hostels I’ve been to! Irene is an incredible host (and chef) and really made my stay in Guanajuato memorable. The building is very clean and has an incredible rooftop terrace that overlooks the city. Hot water, WiFi, laundry and a really great breakfast.
Loved this place. Irene is so lovely and looks after you. Breakfast is yummy. Amazing views from the rooftop terrace. About a 15 min walk into the town centre but lots of great bars and cafes on the way
Casa de Dante is a great hostel for a stay in Guanajuato. We had a private room with ensuite. It was clean and spacious. The hostel has beautiful art and decorations throughout. The free breakfast was tasty and a decent size. It is located a short walk from the town caeter. Beware the hostel is located on a steep hill so walking up or down with luggage can be challenging but doable.
Can't recommend this hostel enough. Irene is the sweetest and her breakfasts are out of this world. She takes into account all dietary requirements/preferences and provides plenty of fruits, juice, coffee and sometimes dessert with it. Rooms are barely full as far as I heard so you have plenty of space. Although it's a bit of a walk to the city centre, I actually preferred this location as it's more quiet, provides stunning city views from the terrace and has good access to nearby trails/hills.
fantastisk hyggeligt sted. mega sød ejer
Wowow probably the best hostel I have stayed at in all of Central America and Mexico. I loved all of the decor and the views from the terrace were amazing. The hosts were also so kind and the breakfast was home made, huge portions, and so so good. It is a short uphill walk to get there but it is definitely worth it. I truly felt at home.
100/100, gracias querida Irene por todo!

Amazing hostel, had a wonderful experience. Irene is an incredible host and makes an awesome breakfast. She even cut my fruit into the shape of a little mouse. Location is great and breakfast was a great way to meet other people on the hostel. Irene is a sweet lady and loves collecting little bits of foreign currency to display around the hostel - so if you have any fun coins, consider leaving her one! 10/10 hostel, would stay again.
Super hostel! really cute and homely with great views. some noise from cars driving on the roads around the city at night. the woman running the hostel is lovely and cooked a hearty breakfast.
I had a wonderful stay here. The best part was the free breakfast. The views from the terrace were also incredible.
One of the best hostels I've stayed in, you can see that a lot of attention and thoughts went into every detail of it and the hostel owner is just a lovely person! :) The views from the terraces are incredible, and the breakfast was really good.
One of my favorite hostel experiences. The breakfast alone is worth the stay. The host was always so nice and asked if we wanted more. The rooftop is amazing also with a great view and cool decorations. I booked a dorm room for 2 nights and private for my last night. They gave me the private room for all 3 nights. Yes, there are steps but it's not bad. The lookout point is not far away if you go all the way up the steps past the hostel. I already miss staying there.
Volver...
This is the most beautiful hostel. Two rooftop terraces with an amazing view of the city where you can hang out all day/night. Plenty of facilities. The breakfast will blow your mind! It's different every day and cooked with a lot of attention, veggie options also available. I stayed in a 1 person private room and it was very clean and spacious. It's not the most social hostel, but you can easily meet people at breakfast. Would recommend this place to everyone!
The hostel is truly amazing and like no other. The private rooms are very clean and comfortable. There are two rooftop terraces with an incredible view over the city. There is a kitchen for the guests, some fridges and free water on every floor. The best part is the breakfast prepared with love by Irene. Only fresh products and it changes everyday. Only downside is that it's quite far from the center abour 25min walk and there is a big stairs very steap to get to the hostel (that's worth it)...
I had the most beautiful stay here! The place is incredibly cosy and welcoming, truly like a home. I really valued my breakfast and conversations in the morning with the lovely lady who owns the hostel (I’m sorry I can’t remember your name!). My room was lovely and well kept, cleaned every day. The terrace was beautiful. There were only 2 other guests there as it was low season, so I didn’t get to socialise, but I still can’t recommend this hostel enough. Gracias !!
