Yuzan Guesthouse

I really liked the communist girl at the front desk. Normally I have a hard line against commies but she was cool considering she was clearly hopped up on SSRIs. She should get a raise to usher in the revolution. The bathrooms were rough and the place is old and doesn’t look like the photos. But it was not too awful.

Lovely place to stay. Traditional style with good facilities and excellent staff. Clean and comfortable and convenient gor sll the sights. Recommended

Really nic ehostel, beautiful house and rooms! a lot of space in the kitchen and sesting area 🎉 even offered a breakfast für 550 YEN, was really good!

This my second time to stay inn Yuzan Guesthouse, its location is excellent, closer to Kintetsu-Nara station and JR-Nara Station. The hosting staff are always helpful and friendly. People can read, work, and chit-chat in a living room while using the facilities and cooking in the open kitchen next to the living room. Overall it's really good for value, and I got what I need in the guesthouse and enjoyed my stay.

Great location and beautiful historical house!

Can only recommend coming here! Felt like I'm at my grandmas house, very homely, kitchen has everything you need & Nara has enough to offer to spend at least 1 night there :) The beds were also very comfortable and the house itself is very authentic!

Very nice Hostel. I had the best sleep since I'm in Japan. Good kitchen and nice Bar. Came here twice. 😊

One of my favourite hostels I've ever stayed at! The house is super duper cute and cozy! It's easy to just spend an entire evening resting on the heated raised platform in the living room. The kitchen is very well equipped, everything is very clean, the female dorm is extremely spacious... I loved it. And it's just a short walk to Nara Park!

Love the ryokan style of the house with very Japanese design and the place is in a fantastic location perfect to walk to Nara park and the train station and all food.

Yuzan Guest House was a super chill spot to stay in Nara. It’s right near the station so getting around was easy, and the place has a really cozy vibe that makes you feel at home straight away. They’ve got a breakfast option if you want it, which is handy before heading out for the day.

Staff were kind and attentive, making the stay feel personal. If you're looking for a deeper, more genuine experience, this is the perfect spot.

I loved this hostel, I stayed for two nights and met some lovely friendly travellers. The staff were lovely. The location is great and I slept so well in the bed! Thank you!

Cute little home stay. Easy walk to the deer park. Very basic with facilities but very charming and the staff were very kind.

Place was 10 mins walk from Nara Park. Clean, neat and full of character. There's a locker in the room big enough to stow away my laptop and camera gear. Everything was great and comfy, even the staffs gave some recommendation on what to do. Don't miss the guesthouse book to read stories from other travellers!
