Ericeira Destination

Firstly they gave us the wrong room so paid way too much for what we got. The room was dirty and the smell of sewage throughout the hostel and in the room was awful. We told them this and they said they knew and didn’t care or do anything to redeem this. Tried to rent bikes which were broken, food under the bed and hair everywhere was left so obviously wasnt cleaned. Told all of this to the staff and manager and they seemed like they couldn’t care less and said they knew it was overpriced.

We had a terrible experience with bedbugs in our dorm room, and they infested our belongings. The staff admitted that bedbugs had been a recurring issue. The pool was dirty and off-limits, our room smelled of mold, and the shower was clogged, which we had to fix ourselves after the staff failed to. While some staff were friendly, one was particularly rude, ignoring us and other guests, and even partied loudly until 2 AM, only to later criticize us for quietly playing cards.

Our four-person room had a very strong smell of damp. We suspect mold. It looks like the ceiling has been painted recently, but the damp spots are visible. The kitchen was very dirty, and there was old food lying around in the cupboards. There was also a distinct smell of damp in the cupboard under the sink.

Volunteers were nice and the place was okay. Pool was a gross green colour though so no one used it and the place always smelled a bit off and was dirty until the cleaner came each day, then dirty immediately again. Lots of long term stayers and and mix of older crowds and even children meant the place had a weird, unsocial vibe.

The location is good if you're surfing, staff members were kind and helpful and doing their best to keep the place tidy. Outside area is nice and big. Inside common area and the kitchen are quite small, no place to chill there. Personally I didn't like that there were music playing pretty loud the whole day. Rooms could be cleaned better and more often. All in all price-quality ratio was okay.

Wasn’t a huge fan of this place. When I arrived there was no one at reception to do the check in, volunteers that run the place weren’t the friendliest or most helpful. The room was nice but had a sewage smell, and it’s not that central. I think for the price it wasn’t worth it.

The place is great! There are some plombing issues, I was getting smells from the shower drain, but otherwise it's the perfect place to be able to work, relax, go to the beach etc. Amazing view from the rooftop. Staff is great. They organize group dinners that are awesome! Definitely recommend.

Great choice to visit Ericeira.

The place was so nice that I ended up staying there the entire summer. It’s the people that truly make the place, and that was especially true here. The staff was exceptional, without exception. From the volunteers to the receptionist and the cleaning staff, everyone was helpful and contributed to creating the best atmosphere possible.

Entspanntes Zusammenleben, aber teilweise so entspannt, das nur das absolut Nötige läuft. Kaffee morgens war super, Einrichtung am Bett auch gemütlich, Anlage mit Pool ist schön, und wird inkl Küche jeden Vormittag gereinigt (ist aber auch mehr als notwendig so wie es abends und tagsüber oft aussieht). Alles in allem etwas umorganisierter, aber entspannter Aufenthalt

What a warm atmosphere! Everything was perfect and there is a Brasilian atmosphere with Kaue and Marina, Leila cooks super well and Wiviane is very nice. Lauriane and I recommand this place, it is calm, beautiful and close to the surf beach.

Eines der schönesten Hostels, in welchen ich je gewesen bin. Alle geben sich sehr viel mühe, damit man sich wohl fühlt. Außerdem ist die Lage einfach super. Ich werde nicht das letzte mal hier gewesen sein.

Good facilities (nice kitchen with all the equipment you need). Clean rooms and nice common areas. The location is perfect if you are surfing and the staff is always very helpful!!

Excelente equipa (Jefferson excelente profissional sempre muito preocupado com o bem estar e a qualidado,o Fabio excelente gerente). O Staff impecável. Todos os espaços eram incríveis. O ambiente que se criou com mais de 20 pessoas foi 😍 amazing! Parecia um microclima de gente boa.

I had the best time in this hostel due to the amazing atmosphere! Fabio, Luca, and Theresa were all so welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. Luca made sure we knew about all the social events happening in town, which was a great way to explore Ericeira and meet new people. The location is also perfect: just a 15-minute walk to Praia de Ribeira d'Ilhas which has a ton of surf schools. Overall a perfect base for exploring Ericeira – I left with great memories and new friends :)

Stayed here for 10 nights, loved it, everyone was nice, staff were helpful and organised nights out for everyone. Will be returning

I had a great stay in Destination Ericiera, the staff were super Anna made us feel right at home, Luca made the whole time so fun and Theresa was super friendly. I can’t wait to come back!!

I can’t recommend this hostel enough! Such a cute house with a beautiful garden and amazing vibes. Very close to a few stunning beaches with no people. Super easy to meet people and do fun stuff every day! The volunteers were so welcoming and fun also.

Io e la mia compagna siamo stati divinamente. Il gestore è stato gentile ed efficiente, gli altri ospiti (principalmente ragazzi giovani non italiani) molto simpatici e carini. La cena è stata condivisa e il tempo è passato piacevole. Tutto era pulito. Segnalo la presenza di una chitarra e di un ukulele

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Everyone is super nice and social, there’s lots to do and the staff create such a fun environment. Will definitely be back

One of the best hostels!! Definitely the best in Ericeira!! The atmosphere and vibe is so incredible here. Whether you’re in Ericeira to surf, party, chill or whatever… it’s so easy to get along with the other guests, share meals and great conversation. It’s close to the best surfing spot in town and isn’t too far from the town centre! Can’t wait to go back!

Cet établissement est fabuleux. Je m’y suis sentie super bien, ce qui ne m’étais pas arrivée depuis très longtemps dans une auberge. Merci au personnel, à Marina pour son accueil son sourire et son professionnalisme. Tout l’équipement est confort, le jardin est agréable il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour passer un séjour reposant à Ericeira. L’ambiance est conviviale. Merci encore.

Un hostel formidable avec un personnel à l'écoute et aidant très proche de plusieurs plage. Nous avons adoré notre séjour et recommandons vivement!
