Zostel Alleppey

Honestly this hostel is in a great location and has a nice vibe. but other than that i found the value for money was not achieved and found the staff insanely immature when it came to problems within the hostel.

Staff wasn't very helpful

This is one of the worst Zostel properties I have come across. literally everyone is high in this zostel including the owner. I didn't even know who was the owner of this zostel even after I checked out. Everyone was there to get high,the toilets were not clean,and the cafeteria was also bad. And also at night someone threw dirty liquid on my bike tank, It was so appalling to see when i try to my bike out forthe return journey. Most of the people who come there are locals, not travellers.

Nice people but not very clean and noisy until late, didn’t get much sleep at all.

The hostel is in good location and stuff is helpful, but the conditions are very low.. dirty bedding, no hot water, mouldy smell in rooms.

Cute little hostel just by the beach, however relatively far from everything else it seems. But it is easy to get hold of taxis/tuktuks. It’s quite easy for anyone to walk in to the property, but I think the area is quiet and nice, so you do not feel unsafe. I stayed in a private room, which was clean and tidy. However no window with glass, so no daylight. But if you only sleep in the room and don’t really stay there otherwise I done see it as a problem. Well-functioning AC, and nice...

the curfew at the hostel was not adhered too super well; and the location of the lounge (right in front of the dorm rooms) did not really help in this regard. Also, the AC was set to 20 degrees celcius and we weren't allowed to change it, which made the nights very cold

One of the best Hostels (or The best hostel in my books) It’s never about the place it’s always about the people managing it. Big shoutout to Josh & his team. The vibe this place has is unbeatable. It’s on the main Alleppey beach. The view from the rooftop is awesome. They also have a restaurant and the food is so good. Great place to make new friends & hangout. For me, the best thing about this Hostel is its location right next to the beach. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed as well. The staff do a good job of assisting travelers with their needs. The restaurant attached to the hostel serves good food as well.

Really nice hostel owner, decent rooms and good air-conditioning. Not overly social place but off season. Only complaints were the toilets that didn't smell good at all and often had cockroaches. Stray cat in dorm room not a good look either.

Staff running the hostel were extremely helpful and welcoming.

Great vibe, great location. Joseph the host is incredible host! Food at their restaurant is good too. Over all, must go to this place. This is a gem!

Toilet was a bit small in the 6 bed dorm, The hot water was not working, had to take a cold shower. The facilities are alright, the vibe was not really that hostel like but depends on the crowd that night.

Super endroit pour rencontrer d'autres voyageurs, et faire des excursions ensemble etc. Josh le manager est très sympa, très bien situé au bord de mer, je recommande !

Great atmosphere, perfect location, very friendly people!

Location is great but the management is subpar. It felt like a transactional setup rather than a good service setup. Wash basins were clogged, some elements were rusty, there was sewage smell in the main sitting area, staff pushed us to vacate the place hours before checkout — leaves a lot to be desired.

nice staff that created a great atmosphere, rooftop chill area with nice beach view also for the sunset (but we mostly stayed downstairs). staff helped a lot to organize kayaking tours and auto rikshaws

A great hostel in a great location, the owner was very friendly and worked hard to make you feel welcome.

I had a beautiful time at Zostel. I felt home from the first second. The owner is amazing and the hostel is kept clean all the time. There is an outside shower you can use when you come from the beach, which is just by the hostel. Thank you and hopefully see you again! Warm Greetings, Klara
