Wouldn’t recommend, there are a lot of better options within 5 mins walking radius of this one. Facilities aren’t that great and the male staff were rude
Hostel was good for an evening! Our dislikes were that the receptionist was never at their desk. Multiple times we had to wait to go back after to purchase drinks/get assistance. There’s no hot water which I’m not sure was advertised previously, may have been overlooked by us. Not much of a social atmosphere, if that’s what you’re looking for then this is perfect for you! Used some yoga mats and I think they may need to have a good refresher/clean.
Overall I feel there were too many people squashed in here. My bed was very uncomfortable too. The staff were nice and helpful. The bathroom was not always clean but I feel there were too many people for the cleaner to be able to keep on top of it.
Bastante deficiente en general si comparo con otros hostels que visité y de precios similares. Nada estético y muy pequeño. La sensación de orden y de higiene brillan por su ausencia. En las habitaciones no hay lockers. Todas las mochilas y enseres personales quedan por el suelo. Queda muy cerca del centro (por mencionar algo interesante) Lo demás... sinceramente mejoraría todo. Sin entrar en detalles. No volvería a ese lugar. ¡Pura Vida!
Quite poor overall if I compare it to other hostels I've visited and of similar prices. Nothing aesthetic and very small. The sense of order and hygiene shines through in its absence. In the rooms there are no lockers. All the backpacks and personal belongings are left on the floor. It's very close to the center (to mention something interesting) The rest... sincerely would improve everything. Without going into detail. I wouldn't go back to that place. ¡Pura Vida!
De kamer waar ik verbleef was heel klein, vochtig en het stonk er ontzettend. Verder waren de bedden heel gammel, dus rustig een bed inkomen zat er niet in. Daarnaast vond ik het personeel ronduit arrogant en de algemene vibe in het hostel ook niet waanzinnig.
The room where I was staying was very small, damp and stinking badly, and the beds were very old, so there was no bed in the room, and the staff was arrogant and the overall vibe in the hostel was not crazy either.
pros: in a good area, tours were good, big kitchen. cons: bathrooms were gross and they were far so you had to cross the common area to get to them, rooms are tiny and there is nowhere to put your stuff
It’s located some streets behind the main road and I felt safe to walk in the evening. If possible take a room with AC. The rooms with fan can be really noisy at night, if all fans are on, not even earplugs helped. Hot showers and kitchen is big. Common area is ok, missed some hammocks to chill and it could be social, but the hostel was not my vibe to meet people to hang out or have a drink together. Staff was helpful, I could change my room/bed. One activity was cheaper in another hostel.
Personally this was not the hostel for me. The vibe in the hostel was very dull and sad ( not due to the workers but in fact the people staying there ). It has a nice outdoor area for yoga and a smoking area but the rooms were dirty when I arrived, the fan above my head was covered in so much dust and there was no cover in the windows for insects or mosquitos which made me very cautious. The room was very squishy and the beds were uncomfortable.
The hostel was okay, but when I stayed there the vibes were a little off and it wasn‘t really social. The rooms were a little small so there wasn‘t really space for us to store our staff. The kitchen and showers were kind of dirty and sometimes there was a bad smell, as well. I really liked the staff, since they were really nice and helped us book our tours and gave us good advice about the town in general.
It was alright, but a little musty and the staff were a bit rude (not the german girl who was volunteering)

Amazing hostel! Clean spaces, great and large kitchen, nice people and enough places to chill and mingle!
excelente ambiente y ubicacion... todo super limpio. cocina amplia. el patio hermoso. te aconsejan en todos los tour y lugares q podes conocer solo o acompañado. hicimos un lindo paseo en grupo con todos los huepedes al choyin de noche, recomiendo!!!
Excellent atmosphere and location... everything super clean. spacious kitchen. the beautiful patio. they advise you on all the tours and places you can visit solo or accompanied. we made a nice group walk with all the guests at night, I recommend!!!
What a slice of heaven! Pura Vibra is super cute and it’s a block or two away from the main hub of the town so it’s very easy to find shops and restaurants but it’s also nice and quiet! There’s a lovely sitting area in the back with some garden area and I saw tons of small wildlife just there! All the workers are so helpful and it’s super easy to just text them on Whatsapp. The tours you can book with them are also really great and super easy to book (and less expensive than the other ...

My stay was incredible! I met people with whom I shared excursions that we booked at the front desk, and the atmosphere is very lovely. Everything is very clean and safe. I recommend it.
Such a chill hostel vibe, located near just about most things in downtown La Fortuna! I did so many activities so by the time I was back at my hostel all I did was sleep or decompress which is genuinely all you need.

Some staff were exceptional and went out of their way for us when tour company transport fell through, others didn't even speak Spanish and told us blatantly incorrect information about their own tour times and services.
Clean, safe and nice yoga lessons. I would always book again!!
I really enjoyed my stay at Pura Vibra! Very friendly and welcoming environment and I loved the yoga classes, even joined a movie night one night.
Nice hostel with lots of spaces to chill. Kitchen is big and rooms are comfy although a bit squashed. Enjoyed the free yoga.
Really loved this hostel! Super clean (the dorm ensuite was cleaned at least twice a day!), great security (front gate & each dorm requires code) and great facilities (massive, well-stocked kitchen). Really relaxed vibe - not super social but that was fine with us. The free yoga was such a bonus too!

Hermoso hostel. Ubicado en el centro, cerca de todo. Dan m clases de yoga gratis todos los días y tienen agua de dispenser libre. Ana súper amable.

Really helpful staff, especially with laundry and booking trips. Good atmosphere and big kitchen to use. Dorms can get very hot overnight, we were glad we had fans. Best part of the stay was Mila the hostel dog! She’s so friendly and cute.
hostel is quiet, clean and safe, not far from the main street.
A great stay, all the staff were lovely. The kitchen was big and well equipped. It was a few minutes walk from the town but this means it’s quiet at night. Also lots of birds in the gardens too. Hots showers are a bonus too!
