Boring, but then it is Mysore. Most boring place in Kanataka.
Good: Place is clean, staff are nice, location is good, kitchen, shower water is hot and rooms are cool enough to sleep in with AC. Bad: WIFI doesn't work, some lockers in the rooms dont lock, feels like anyone could just walk in and out of the hostel and a common area devoid of social vibe. Suggestions: wifi to work, a whatsapp group (1 for remote workers and 1 for tourist backpackers) which would allow travellers to connect, a list of places close by for food choices to try.
good hostel with nice owner! only the doors closing really hard and some showers doesnt work because the button is coming outside again. overall, good beds!
positive: helpful staff, good location, affordable, many places to chill. negatives: the manager was constantly calling and because of the bad sound isolation you could hear it everywhereall the time. even at 7h he was calling and he woke me up. showers not always hot or working good. kitchen equipment isnt the best and i'm missing some comfortable outdoor spot (like good couch or chair). lights are off all the time.

toilets are all shared but maybe not too bad, maybe makes sense to have toilet away from rooms.
A bit expensive for a hostel, i guess the price is justified by the excellent location. Room is confortable. Easy to meet other foreigners, but the hostel doesn't organize any special activity. Making food tours or city tours would make the place feel more alive. Still a very decent place to stay in Mysore !
Overall a good hostel, but they’re not offering any social activities or food. It’s overall fine, but feels very anonymus
Pretty good place, kind of far from the main attractions but not terrible. Also met some awesome travelers. It’s also pretty clean and well taken care of even though my outlet barely worked. However, I got checked in by a girl who stopped her conversation long enough to get me booked but then disappeared. I never saw another worker the rest of the time. it was clean, a beautiful building, good kitchen, nice garden, clean showers with hot water, close to some restaurants and shops. BUT the staff were quite off putting, the couple made us feel very unwelcome and stared and talked about us, the receptionist forced tours and auto rides down our throat, trying to take every penny. Also, someone stole something valuable from me here and the staff couldnt have cared less.

Just stayed for one night. Really nice place with cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!! Thanks guys
Loved this hostel and would recommend to everyone! Joshi the hostel manager and his family are so hospital and accomodating, and the culture at this hostel is so friendly. I had the best time while staying here!
Nice staff. Clean bathrooms and facilities. Nice to have lockers. Location is a little out of the way I guess but was still (longish) walking distance from most anything. And plenty of food close enough by.

Super comfy beds and blankets and a great set up. Hot water too! The only thing they are missing is some outdoor furniture/ chill area. They let me check in at 5am for only an additional 300 rupees. Laundry is 150. Really nice Nepalese family working there. Nice couches/ chill out area and opportunities to meet other travellers!

Probably the best hostel that I stayed in India. The family from Nepal running the property is very sweet and helpful.

Great hostel. Comfortable beds with lots of space and big lockers. Ample showers/toilets with hot water. Only downside is zero soundproofing between rooms (it's all open) so there can be A LOT of noise if the wrong kind of guests are staying.

Das Roambay Hostel ist eines der schönsten Hostels, in dem ich war. Die Familie, die das Hostel betreibt ist unglaublich nett und herzlich. Im 6 Bett Dorm hatte jedes Bett einen großen abschließbaren Schrank, der gleichzeitig als Sichtschutz dient. Steckdosen und Ablagefläche am Bett, A/C und Ventilator im Zimmer. Viele saubere Toiletten und Duschen, Gemeinschaftsraum und Garten und eine Küche, gefiltertes Wasser. Wenn ich nochmal nach Mysore komme, werde ich definitiv wieder ins Roambay ko...
The Roambay Hostel is one of the most beautiful hostels I have ever been to. the family that runs the hostel is incredibly nice and warm. in the 6 Bett Dorm each bed had a large lockable closet, which at the same time serves as a viewfinder. outlets and storage area at the bed, A/C and Ventilator in the room. lots of clean toilets and showers, common room and garden and a kitchen, filtered water. if I come to Mysore again, I will definitely come back to the Roambay.

Beds were comfortable and clean, location was great & check in was easy. The bathrooms were not clean and could use some TLC. So for the price, it’s worth it but just know you are getting what you pay for.
Had an amazing stay, i liked the property especially the hall, but there should be some seating outside near the garden area

The manager was super nice, he let me check in at 9am after I was sick all night which was a big help
Great stay at roambay! Solid location in a peaceful neighbourhood Stayed as a solo woman and felt safe!
