Lily's Hostel

the loudest hostel i have ever stayed in - we booked here hoping for a quiet night after a long travel day, not realising it is located on the main clubbing street in HCM. the music is so loud and continues until about 3/4am - it sounds as though you are in the club itself. our room was also located on the top floor which required climbing about 9 flights of stairs up a windy staircase - so if you have a suitcase (like i did) you have to leave this at reception as there is no elevator.

The room was near a street where loud music played so loud that the whole building was shaking. I recorded up to 70 decibels in the room, which is enough to cause ear damage over long periods of time. I asked for a refund but could not get one.

If u like bars, then it's perfect for u. It feels like sleeping in a bar all night, very noisy. And no free water is provided

La ragazza alla reception svogliata / scocciata, a tratti più simpatica ma in generale sembra non voler stare lì. Nessun area comune, impossibile socializzare, zero vibes, sembra una guesthouse. La mia stanza era vuota. Il bagno sporco, non penso sia mai stato pulito in due giorni che ero lì. La tendina del letto mi è caduta in testa con tutta la barra!

Das Hostel liegt in einer extrem lauten Partymeile. Das Zimmer ist dazu sehr hellhörig.

The owner is so nice and is super helpful, but the location is not great for sleeping. It is right next to Bui Ven walking street so it’s quite loud in the room I was in. Everything that the owner could control ie cleanliness, facilities, breakfast, even providing earplugs was really nice. If you just bring some noise cancelling headphones or earplugs it may not be that bad.

The base of the music was incredibly loud and blasting until 3am, it sounded as if I was in the club. I was shocked that not many reviews had mentioned this before. There is no point staying here as it’s impossible to sleep. I had to blast white noise and wrap my head in two sweaters but I still could hear and feel the base of the music in the room!

The staff is excellent, the decor of the room was decorated for a child - a bit strange. Good space downstairs but again feels like a child’s room. Not a place to connect well with others travelers, better for just a quick stay

I LOVED Lily’s Hostel. The host gave great recommendations and every detail I’d be looking for. She’s so kind and funny, truly an amazing human being. The place itself was clean, comfortable and in a central location, making this even better. My experience in Ho Chi Minh wouldn’t have been as good as it was if it weren’t for this hostel.

WE LOVED LILYS and would super highly recommend. The room was adorable and clean. Linh Pham provided the best service, helped us learn Vietnamese, let us have a shower after we’d checked out, shared her birthday cake and is just overall the kindest and funniest hostess I’ve ever met. She welcomed us to Vietnam and gave us the best start to our trip. You are on a noisy street for this location which means you are so close to the heart of Ho Chi Minh which is great. You should stay here!!!!

Lily's hostel is super clean, well desiged and maintained. I enjoyed staying in there, even come back after traveling back to Ho Chi Mihn. Lily also quire friendly and lovely. The location right in the city centre, literally 1 min away from bars, restarants and feel the vibe, and there is a 711 store right on the corner which is super convinent.

The Lady who runs this place was the nicest person ever!! Always helped us and made sure we are fine!! The beds were comfy. The hostel is central and can be loud at night because of the walking street. We knew that so it was fine. There was a weird smell in the dorm. Only smelled it in the dorm though.

Great location for backpackers wanting to go out! The owner was very nice and accommodating.

I stayed here for 5 night (planned only 3) but the room was perfect , location great if your looking for nightlife close by, saying the accommodation was quiet. Great hosting , really helpful and friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again for a really Good price

Love love love the lady that runs this place. Such a helpful and interesting lady, if you get the chance to talk to her, you should, she’s very funny. Place was very clean and beds were comfy. Located right in the main drinking street so could be good or bad depending on what you are after. Only thing is the hostel not very social as there are no communal areas.

simple and central. beds are comfy. room was on the very top floor so had to walk up quite a few flights of stairs, and was slightly noisy at night due to the busy party street but it was manageable to sleep. they offer earplugs and little snacks which is nice
