Mimosa Tulum Boutique Hotel & Hostel

I would not recommend. It is neither a fun and social hostel, nor peaceful and relaxing. There is mostly techno music playing from 8:15am to 11:30pm every day, so sleep during these hours is tough. The staff (and what I assume are their friends, definitely not other quests) lounge around the bar area all day making for a very bad atmosphere. They also use the kitchen regularly and don't clean up after, It's grim. Bad vibes at Mimosa which is a shame, the reviews made us think it had potential.

Bueno la verdad que mal, metimos alcohol fuera del hostal y se molestaron tanto que nos dijeron que eso está prohibido según la política del hostal que firmamos cosa que nunca nos dijeron ... Y bueno luego después de meter las cervezas en el hostal nos la quitaron de la nevera... Más acto seguido nos dijeron que teníamos que pegar una multa de 25 dólares...., Y a mis amigos les desaparecieron sus toallas y alguna blusa en los espacios comunes y el precio del hostal bastante alto...

Amazing and helpful staff (especially Gustavo, muchas gracias!) and great location. Located in a quiet area close to the main road and a short walk from downtown. The tipi had a very damp smell, but otherwise very nice. I was told you could buy breakfast, but there was no one but the security guard around at 8am on my first day, so I never had it. There was no social activities, not really a social hostel. For the price, I would rather spend it on a nice hotel. But I had a pleasant stay.

Good location, walkable into town. Only one toilet working for the shared bathroom when we were there. Surprised that showers and toilets you had to go outside to access. They were clean though. Room didn’t have sealed roof so mosquitoes got in, and we were unlucky with cold weather and were cold at night because of this. Asked for extra blankets but needed something thicker. Not much of a vibe if you’re travelling alone. Breakfast was good and convienient and the woman at the desk was helpf...

The hostel is a very cosy garden with cabins, and bartender Chris went out of his way to delight us with a tasting and info about Mexican culture. HOWEVER, we had a really bad experience with another crew member who got annoyed at us when we had a miscommunication while ordering Mezcal. He then came knocking on our door in the middle of the night because of an open tab we had tried paying right away but he was avoiding us. He lied that his boss sent him to do so.. Messed up the experience

Overall a good stay! Staff were super friendly and helpful, pool was nice, upstairs lounge area got lots of breeze, and the bathrooms and showers were always clean. The location was also perfect for catching colectivos to head to the cenotes or beach. There were a lot of mosquitos and bugs, but I think that’s all of Tulum honestly. I also think it was pricey for what you got… the place was more worn down than the pictures showed.

Staff were nice, teepee bed was cool. We can't use the kitchen from 8-2pm. They make breakfast for 130-180$ pesos . Transport to the airport is at least 1500$ pesos and you need to pay the other services..

got a private teepee and it was really cute, but when i came back after the beach i noticed there were bugs falling onto the bed (from a bigger group on the ceiling) Usually would be okay with this if i wasnt falling directly on the bed. told the staff and the night worker was amazing about it and super helpful - got us moved right away and said we would figure it out in the AM. the manager the next morning was very rude saying that we needed to move back or were basically forced to upgrade

The absolute Best Tulum hostel for the price. Price was about $30 usd.. facts : has great safety and security. Super clean. has great employees. has bar & Pool and lots of space to chill .. the locker with safe was huge literally 20sqft locker.. beds comfy.. near ado bus station and main road. Was peaceful and quiet everynight after 10pm. This is a Premium hostel not a party hostel fyi. .. seriously what else do you want?

Mimosa was the perfect way to kick off our two week trip.We stayed for 4 nights. Beautiful room and property and the location is walkable to plenty of bars and restaurants. I can't say enough good things about the staff. Sandy and Mya are wonderful and so kind. Rodrigo the bartender makes some killer drinks at good prices! We'll be back!!!

Séjour absolument parfait. Si vous venez à Tulum, nous vous conseillons à 1000% ce lieu. Super accueil, équipe très sympa et attentionnée, bloc sanitaire ultra propre et spacieux (eau chaude et pression, rare au Mexique), cuisine agréable, bar super, prix abordable, la piscine au top... Le lieu est hyper joli et bien entretenu. Nous sommes ravies de ces 4 jours passés dans ce lieu. Nous y reviendrons assurément.

My partner and I stayed at mimosa and loved it! Atmosphere and aesthetic was really great. It was a very quiet hostel which we were definitely ok with since there were lots of bars and busier hostels close by to go meet people when we were feeling more social. Owner was around lots which was nice as well! Only note I would add is the plumbing could be a little better but overall great experience and we would definitely come back! Thanks Jimmy!!

Really nice room, stayed in the private and was great, seems very secure. Staff were nice. Not the busiest hostel in terms of social so if you need a place to stay to relax this is deffo it, can’t fault it.

We loved our stay here! The staff were so lovely and friendly. We stayed in the hut and it was so clean, close to amenities and had a sink in the room which was handy too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice place to unwind.

This is one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at, and the staff were all very nice and welcoming. Not much of a social atmosphere, but I was only staying one night, so it didn’t really matter. The lockers are huge, the bed is comfy, and the pool is lovely. Everything is very clean and high quality.

A hostel with a relaxing vibe and very friendly staff. I loved the upstairs chillout deck and really appreciated that the kitchen had a water heater. The private rooms looked very nice; however, the only dorm room wasn’t quite as comfortable. You could feel every movement from the lower bunk while lying in the upper bunk, and the curtains had small gaps, which left a bit to be desired in terms of privacy.

C’est dommage qu’il manque un resto mais tout le reste est parfait. Mise à part l’absence de restaurant un petit déjeuner est proposé de 8h à 11h
