Lotus Hostel Beach Koh Tao

We definitely had bed bugs! Hung up our swimsuits in the shower and when we moved them a bunch of flies flew out! The walls were wet? And consequently all our bags and clothes got wet. Our chargers broke because of the wet walls. The neon beds were jarring to say the least- not the most relaxing atmosphere. Not a fan of the no curtains. The only redeeming feature is the bench outside to have moments out of this horrible room- and even that smelled like poo. At least it had a good location.

We checked in expecting a 10 bed mixed dorm as booked on hostel world and were placed in a 16 bed mix dorm. When this was addressed we were spoken to very rudely by the reception staff who shoved a piece of paper in our face and shouted over us. Two beds didn’t have any blankets or towels this was raised with staff an hour after check in. No blankets or towels were given till the next morning meaning two guests slept without. The showers and toilets were broken and it was overall filthy. Avoid...

Awful, barely cleaned room the whole time I was there, absolutely disgusting. Room stunk bins overflowing bathroom had sand all in it. Outside was just infested with bugs and mosquitoes. Not enjoyable at all. Staff very unhelpful, when we tried to clean the room ourselves they refused to give us bin bags.

DO NOT BOOK. The shower heater in my dorm was defective and transmitted an electric current. Fortunately, I only had my hands under the water when I noticed, but this situation could have been extremely dangerous and I could have been electrocuted. I didn’t even get an apology from the staff, but they did replace the heater. Not sure if they checked the other shower heaters. In addition, the 4-bed female dorm was disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for days.

Une nuit avec un tarif très élevé pour être accueilli dans une chambre au sanitaire et douche très sales et bouchées. Le comble: avoir une caution de 1000 bath thaïlandais. Puis aucune présentation des locaux de l’hostel. Je reste sur ma faim alors que cet hostel a du potentiel dû à son excellente localisation.

it's not so much of a clean don't change sheets even when I ask them and need to be careful with the money they charge me twice when I come to extend and didn't book from the phone the told me 2 night let me only stay for one

Dieses Hostel sollte verboten sein, zumindest das 6 Betten Zimmer. Man denkt das Hostel wäre am Strand, dabei muss man erstmal 3 Minuten zu einer ganz anderen Location laufen, welche sich direkt neben einem Ladyboy Club befindet. Die Lautstärke war unerträglich und bis um 23:30 hat das ganze Zimmer vibriert. Morgens um 7:30 haben dann die Bauarbeiten angefangen, durch die man unsanft geweckt wurde. Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich und Strom und Wasser sind 2 mal ausgefallen. Nicht buchen!

I would strongly advice anyone who is considering this hostel to find somewhere else. Little to no information about anything from the staff, the rooms were very dirty and no one cleaned our room during our stay (3 nights). Worst part was without a doubt the horrendous bathroom. The smell in there made it impossible to do anything in there. There were SO many flies in there too. I started going to the bathroom in the reception to avoid going in there. Considering the price this is a total scam!!

ARNAQUE ⚠️ J’avais demandé une chambre pour 4 et ils m’ont donné une chambre pour 16. Les chambres donnent sur une fosses septique ignoble, ça pue c’est irrespirable ! Le staff est aussi exécrable et pas dutout gentil avec leur clients. Les chambres sont très bruillante il est impossible de dormir avant minuit ! À FUIR.

The property’s location is really ideal, right in the center and very close to all the action! However because of this it is incredibly loud-we felt like the club was in the room with us. Staff were accommodating to the broken AC unit in our room moving us to a new one.

We made a group booking but when checking in they put 1 of us in a separate room a 5 minute walk away. Staff were extremely rude from the moment we got there and were shouting at us when asked if we could be in a room together. We were given 3 keys between 4 and were accused of stealing a key, staff called us liars multiple times when we told them they had only given us 3 and they refused to return passports. Rooms were also extremely dirty and overall experience was awful would not return.

Bathroom in the dorm didnt work, cleaners hardly cleaned the rooms, lots of lads trip groups who come back late and drunk

Lovely stay, staff are so friendly and helpful, great location. Overall was a very good hostel!

Worst hostel we stayed at. The water in the water machine smelled horrible, the WiFi didn’t work, the shower water was boiling hot, the cleaners were always hours late, the pool was filthy, the ac smelled horrible aswell, there was absolutely no privacy and no curtains, the staff wasn’t helpful, the hostel was endstop to the pubcrawl witch meant lots of noise and drunk people every other night, we booked a female dorm but got put in mixed dorm (not sure if it’s a mistake from Hostelworld)

We stayed at the property for one night and overall it was a decent hostel for a one night stay. We had a private room with a twin bed, when originally booked for a shared double bed. Couldn’t complain about the room, good size, nice air conditioning and fans to keep the room cool. The rooms didn’t come with private bathroom facilities which was a negative aspect for us. The pool advertised online wasn’t an area we felt we could hang out due to the lack of loungers and chairs.

Perfektes Hostel

Not a social hostel, but very nice rooms (the „premium“ ones) with canopy-like beds and lots of room. On the more expensive side but right at the beach, has a pool as well, free water, would go again

The location is amazing!

Good place. Located near bars and restaurants so quite noisy at night but the room with 4 bed and a private bathroom was really good and so also the cleaning.

Rooms are very private, beds are comfy. Showers are clean and good water pressure.

When we arrived at the hotel, we had to pay more than what had been agreed because the hostel did not have any change. When we were then shown to our room, they took us to the wrong room three times. The location is very good, but if you want to sleep, you should choose somewhere else since it is right next to the bar street.

The hostel is in a great location right beside the beach and only a short walk from the main areas for food & drinks! The private room was spacious, clean and everything worked fine- we also had our own private bathroom attached. I would recommend the private room for anyone for a short stay on the island - the noise from the fire show/beach side clubs at night can be loud & go on until well after midnight…

Really good private rooms, unreal location, and the bar attached is class. Staff were friendly and helpful
