Casa Movida Hostel

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience here. The room smelled very strongly of mold and I couldn't take the health risk of sleeping there. The other guests also noticed the strong smell of mold. I explained this to reception and canceled my overnight stay. However, I didn't get the money back for the overnight stay. Even after I wrote an email to the office. This is very annoying. It should go without saying that you will get your money back if the performance is not as expected.

Pas un hostel, plus un hôtel où la bière coûte presque 4€! Aucun endroit où se poser tranquillement car le rooftop est réservé au restaurant, il faut dîner consommer… Le personnel est désagréable. Nous voulions cuisiner mais selon l’hôtel il était impossible de nous donner un peu d’huile d’olive. (Huile d’olive qui est mise à disposition gratuitement pour les clients de la pizzeria…). NO SE HOSPEDEN EN ESTE LUGAR!! Una de las veces que vine le ROBARON a uno de nuestro grupo y si leen ya tienen varios reportes y la policía dice que pasa seguido en este este lugar, los última vez que vine nos dejaron en la calle porque en su desorganización no encontraban la reserva, ahí día siguiente que fuimos a reclamar ahí si la encontraron ya que nos habían dejado en la calle y tuvimos que pagar en otro hotel, PRESIMA RATONERA DE LUGAR NO CAIGAN AHÍ.

Pictures are much nicer online than in person. Room was nice and big but it’s extremely loud. The restaurant downstairs isn’t a hostel restaurant it’s on the Main Street so there was no social vibe in the hostel

Worst Hostel we’ve experienced so far in Colombia. The staff were not welcoming at all, we found poop in the shower, the smell of mold in our room was extreme. Breakfast was okay, but boring compared to all other Hostels we’ve stayed at. And do not use their laundry service, all our clothes shrinked. Only the pizza deserves a shoutout.

The good: breakfast was good and the location was great The bad: When I arrived, my bed was dirty with dirt stains and someone else’s hair on it (they changed it when I asked). It smells like mildew everywhere in the bed nook, and the shower floods within about a minute. Overall they really need to repair and maintain a lot of the facilities better than they do, as it’s worn down and dirty. This place is cute and very instagrammable, but not conducive to meeting new folks. The rooftop bar only has small two-seat tables and doesn't open until after 5, and the downstairs restaurant tables are seated far apart. It's like a hostel for people who are scared of hostels. No events or social activities from what I gathered, and pretty expensive (though the location is lovely). My bunk was nice and comfortable, but the shower clogged almost immediately every time it was used.

This is a place that is quite well situated in the walled city. It is good for a couple of nights. It doesn’t have much of a hostel vibe, but got good sleeps. The shower drain was really clogged, so that was kinda gross.

Good stay for 2 nights, I wouldn't have stayed longer though. Some weird mold smell in the dorm. The rooftop is useless as its overpriced and overly exposed to a daily strong wind. Same as the pool that never encounter a sunlight hidden in the shady backyard of the building. After traveling to 50+ hostel, important to notice that this is the first ever hostel I've been to that does not provide drinkable water, you have to pay for bottles, no access to a purified water jar.

A localização do hostel foi o que me fez reservar. Não tinha certeza sobre um quarto com 12 pessoas, é muito, mas afinal as camas cada uma tem sua área bem definida, e você consegue ficar isolado se quiser. Os banheiros eram ótimos, e tudo era limpo todos os dias. A equipe do hostel era muito querida e simpática. Minha única crítica é: coloquem prateleiras dentro do box do chuveiro, e alguns ganchos pra podermos pendurar nossas roupas no quarto.

Great hostel but it was not very social, spent most of our time at another hostel and just slept there

There is absolutely 0 social space so it is very difficult to make friends here. Good location and comfy bed though.

Best dorm room we’ve had on this trip the beds were sooo comfy, you had your own little pod with room with your stuff along with lockers. Staff were very nice and friendly. Had 2 en-suite showers and toilets which were clean and good. Pool area was fine.

Super hostel, je conseille. Très calme pour se poser tranquillement la journée. Super bien placé pour aller à Getsemani, ou pour prendre le bateau à la muelle.

shower drain in room 203 needs unblocking. Loved the beds and pods.. we extended our stay we loved it so much and then came back after our Rosario trip for another 2 nights.

Geen sociaal hostel. Vriendelijk personeel. Badkamers zijn echt niet proper, overal haren. (Low season, 4p in de kamer van 12) Lakens van mijn bed hadden ook vlekken.

Dortoirs très confortable, nettoyé tous les jours, il y a des réductions sur le restaurant qui est très bon

The bed bunks are amazing and huge, beds are super comfy and the room feels very quiet. The bathrooms are great and the showers were the best ones i've had on my trip. It's not really social, perfect to unwind tho. The kitchen is the only downside, there's barely any equipment to properly cook and it's the only area in the hostel that's not super clean. Otherwise i really recommend it, location's great too

Really nice hostel, great location, beds are super comfy and spacious, aircon was great! Not much of an atmosphere when we were there.

The accommodation was great. We stayed in a 13 person dorm which was huge! would highly recommend for a quiet stay. No atmosphere and there was a cockroach in the bathroom one day but other than that very clean

Ik verbleef in de grote gemengde dorm, heel goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding! Zeer comfortabele bedden, genoeg privacy, goede airco. Goede locatie middenin het oude centrum! Het enige minpuntje: wc papier was vaak op in een van de badkamers.

excelente hostal para quedarse y conocer Cartagena. El personal es muy amable y atento en las necesidades que uno requiere y en la seguridad del hostal. además. es muy limpio y con excelente ubicación.
