Booked a private room with ensuite. Room did not have an ensuite. The communal toilets had no toilet paper. The mattress was filthy. The air conditioner did not work. The floor had holes all through it. The step into my "room" was removed while I was there. They forgot about breakfast and tried to charge me more than the agreed upon fee. On top of that, I arrived New Years Eve and they had a communal dinner/celebration that they did not tell me about. One of the worst hostel experiences Ive had.

The only good thing was the AC in our room and that it was near the center

The location is good, close to the center, and the staff is nice. But the room was not as expected. We booked a private double room, which happened to be a shed in the garden. It had no lock, was poorly isolated and offered no privacy. It rained the two days we stayed and our things stored in the room got wet. We felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Would not recommend.

Definitely not a wonderful stay, I had stayed in two hostels in Cartagena previously and this was definitely the worst. I booked because they had a pool, but the pool is empty so you can’t swim. The walls are stained, the sheets have massive holes and stains, the door handle comes off in your hand etc. Staff are friendly but only speak Spanish.

El mejor hostal en Cartagena :). Ivana y yei muy simpáticos y acogedores. Me guardaron mi bolso durante unos días que salí de Cartagena, incluso me invitaron a pasear por la ciudad y de fiesta! Ambiente juvenil, relajado y muy seguro.

Nos recibieron súper bien, un trato demasiado amigable y el ambiente estaba full animado

I loved it here since the hostel wasn’t a party hostel and the atmosphere was calm, quiet, and familiar. I loved the swimming pool and all the plants and that the hostel had more of an informal feel to it. If you’re looking for a place to just relax, but still meet people this is ideal.

El mejor hostal en Cartagena :). Ivana y yei muy simpáticos y acogedores. Me guardaron mi bolso durante unos días que salí de Cartagena, incluso me invitaron a pasear por la ciudad y de fiesta! Ambiente juvenil, relajado y muy seguro.

Apart from the staff that was more preoccupied with the restaurant than the hostel clients. The mosquito net was broken... However it is a good location and a good hostel for discovering Carthagena.
