Casa Janaab Palenque

Travelled all over the world and never did i see such useless and rude staff. Every little question was too much and it was super obvious no one wanted to be there or be working. They really found the very few non-friendly Mexicans around to put at the reception. My first bad review i have ever posted. complete shitshow

Felt more like a Hotel that they just added dorm rooms. Location is amazing right beside a supermarket and a local market and 5min walk from the ADO station

Ce lieu est pas une auberge de jeunesse, c'est un hôtel sans le confort d'un hôtel. La personne à l'accueil est pas aimable, il n'y a aucune ambiance a l'intérieur. Les tours sont chers et sans guides. Les chambres sont petites, les matelas pas terrible. L'auberge est propre. Et enfin effectivement 80 pesos pour laisser son sac une journée ou même rester après le check out. Bref, 3 mois de voyage, moins bonne auberge que j'ai fais.

stayed two consecutive nights. refused to honor the hostelworld price. one employee paid me the difference out of his own pocket and appologized for the hostel because they refused to. They refused to honor hostelworld AGAIN by refusing to return my money for the locker like they said on this app in the description. I had to wait all morning until after checkout to go to the bathroom& take a shower because the water was broken. The refused my locker$ because i had to wait for the water. headache

no atmosphere at all, horrible vibe. cramped dorm rooms, doesn't feel social at all. don't book the so called 'shuttle tour' to flores, no organization, spent the whole day driving around guatemala in a public collectivo instead.

Für ein Hostel für Backpacker ist es nicht gerade. Es ist sauber und die Küche ist okay, sonst ähnelt es eher einem Hotel, auch was die Atmosphäre angeht. Preis Leistung ist hier leider nicht sehr gut. Das Frühstück, welches mit inbegriffen ist, rechtfertigt den hohen Preis für ein Bett in einem Dormitory auch nicht. (Außerdem muss man morgens zu einem anderen Hotel laufen um dort zu frühstücken) Der Staff ist aber sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

No real hostel vibe. More hotel. No free water!!!?! You have to pay to use the facilities (including showers or kitchen) after checkout. Kitchen has very poor equipment. No events. Tours unnecessarily expensive. Checkin very bureaucratic and took ages. Staff is trying. Has some hammocks, is clean. Wij hadden fruit en groentes gekocht voor ontbijt én lunch voor een lange dagbus. Wij hadden dit ook gelabeld, maar het hostel had heel de koelkast leeggeruimd en erg veel dingen, ook van anders hostelgasten weggegooid. Hierdoor hadden wij voor een busreis van negen uur geen eten meer…

Está muy cerca de la estación de buses ADO puedes llegar incluso caminando igualmente para el centro es un buen hostel por ubicación y tranquilidad lo recomiendo totalmente

Felt kinda unsafe - none of the doors locked so anybody from outside the hostel can access your room. Only males in my dorm, wouldn't recommend to solo female travellers. No atmosphere yet still super loud.

Very decent place. Perfect for a short stay to visit the archeological site. Close to restaurants and nice coffee places.

Der schönes Hostel, ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist sehr sauber und es wird ständig gereinigt. Es sind keine 5 Minuten bis zur ADO Station, Supermärkte sind super dicht und die Stadt auch.

Stayed here for 1 week, such a great experience! Very affordable, nice meals and social.

A good place, more hotel vibe

Close both to the National Park and City Center.

Hostal con excelente ubicación, cerca de la estación de autobuses y de los mejores restaurantes, y muy bien organizado con dormitorio cómodo, lockers grandes, cocina bien equipada, zona común ideal para relajarse y tomar el sol con hamacas y pequeña cocina. Personal amable, recepcionistas preparados, equipo de limpieza siempre activo y controlador de seguridad. Mejorable: el aire acondicionado del dormitorio no se podía regular y salía super frío.

The property itself is nice, the outdoor area is good to hang out in and the kitchen area was very clean while I was there. My biggest issue was my bed. I was given a single bed (not a bunk bed) in a 6 bed dorm where my head was right next to the door and underneath the light switch. There was also no curtain for my bed, though a few of the other bottom bunks in the room did have curtains. I didn’t sleep very well because I felt very exposed and I woke up anytime anyone entered the room.

Located close to ADO bus station, but 10 minute walk to town plaza. Great common area with plenty of "beach recliners" to hang out and chill after waterfalls/ruins.

Its a nice place to stay for one to two days or more just to get to know Palenque. The staff are cool but bidet is the best!

Bon hostel mais : wc bouchés régulièrement et problème de robinet d’eau froide donc on prend des douches brûlantes. Entretien du frigo à revoir

Reception is friendly and gives you informations you want, showers a hot, rooms are clean and comfortable, the kitchen is ok.

Nice hostel. Only stayed to visit the ruins nearby which were beautiful! The rolm was clean and comfortable. Didn’t have a hostel vibe and was very unsocial but may just be the vibe when i was there. Great place to stay in terms of price and for a short stay as i needed

Staff were great to me and super helpful. Not a social environment if that is what you want but comfortable and safe.

good for an overnight stay in palenque - not really social atmosphere

Stayed one night and enjoyed the stay. I night bussed in and out and the hostel was accommodating of arriving early and leaving late with luggage storage and showers that can be accessed after checkout.

Ein sehr gutes Hostel. Nachts war es bei uns leider sehr laut durch ein ständig wiederkehrendes Geräusch. Das war unangenehm. Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit. Die Küche wird jeden Tag sehr gut gereinigt. Der Kühlschrank ist warm. Wir waren gerne hier. Danke.
