There were bed bugs, and I couldn’t sleep all night before finally ‘escaping’ at 9AM the next morning. We are two girls and felt uncomfortable and unsafe staying there. Lastly, the bed wasn’t clean—but well, I suppose at this price that just comes with the deal.

The photos don’t exactly reflect the type of environment you think you’re booking. The place itself is dirty — the floors and showers should be cleaned more thoroughly. That said, it wasn’t a big issue for me considering I paid a very low price. Still, I expected at least some basic hygiene standards. Unfortunately, I found bed bugs in my bed. I had to wash my backpack and all the clothes inside it the next morning. I’m not usually the kind of person who writes reviews like this, and I’m sorry to do so, but I wouldn’t want other travelers to end up in the same situation. So please, make sure to check the beds in the rooms. Despite this, the staff is genuinely kind and helpful

Overall worth it for the price. My friend and I stayed in a private room. It was very small but had a bathroom and AC. We found a bed-bug crawling on the floor and told the staff, they immediately helped us into another room and seemed to take the issue seriously. The hostel is a 20-30 minute walk from the chaos of Khao San. We liked being in a quieter neighborhood, but there wasn’t much going on nearby.
