YHA London Thameside

I stayed from the 23rd but checked out early as I didn’t feel safe or comfortable. On arrival, my room contained a man behaving erratically, clearly under the influence, with an overpowering smell. I was moved, but there were no working lockers. My girlfriend was shouted at aggressively in her room and also had no locker. We checked out at 7am and booked elsewhere. This was well below acceptable standards for safety and management.

When I arrived check in informed us that they did not have enough beds for my partner and I for the visit that we booked and paid for, only the night we arrived. The next morning when they offered to refund half of the total since we only stayed one night but only refunded 1/4 of the half they owe me and now are ignoring my emails. Great location but management are dishonest thieves.

No Chef = NO Food despite advertised. No Menu for2 days .Check-Instaff unwelcoming and rude. WIFI a joke consistently kept dropping out. One of 2 lifts working, one lift broken for 2days, not worth £25 to stay. Won”t be back. RIP off . It gets 4/10 from me and that’s generous. Emma -guest

Terrible location nearest tube is 27 minutes away, phone team just tell you to ring back when the manager is present- never appear. Better hostels in London that are same price that are central and better service

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this property. When my husband arrived, despite having the booking reference, the booking name, his card used for payment, and his phone number on file, he was refused the keys. They insisted on a text message from me to authorize him, even though all necessary booking details were in order. As a result, he had to wait outside for 1.5 hours until the new staff came on duty to finally allow him access. Upon entering the room, we were greeted with...

a equipe é incrível, mas um hostel sem cortina não tem a menor condição. além disso os chuveiros são mornosz quase frios. o básico de um hostel é uma boa cama, a cama deles não é boa, um bom chuveiro e cortina. e a localização é longe de tudo também

Bunk bed was very short. Shower tray drain blocked. Most things satisfactory but £120 for bunk bed room should be a bit better.

Un poco caro para lo que es pero tiene las facilidades esenciales. Agua para cargar en la recepcion, cocina muy bien equipada y baño dentro de cada habitacion. Comodo de usar, no muy buen olor

Stayed here for a gig at the O2 and it was really convenient for that. Beds were nice and comfy. Nice, quiet area of London and easy to get into central

Clean, modern, friendly staff. Functional space, good for south east London area.

Une auberge de jeunesse agréable avec un personnel super disponible dans un quartier tranquille, proche du métro. Petit dej copieux. Chambre propre et spacieuse avec douche et WC. La chasse d’eau était un peu capricieuse et le placard un peu déboîté….mais rien de rédhibitoire ! Nous reviendrons

This hostel has only one flaw: it doesn't have a laundry room! Otherwise, it's perfect: clean, comfortable, and the breakfast was good and plentiful. My stay was fantastic. P.S. Luckily, there's a laundromat just a few meters away—cash only!

Was one of the best places I have stayed at the rooms was very spacious and very comfortable access was easy and the customer service was excellent would definitely stay there again with no hesitation Great place and much appreciated

Only stayed for 1 night with a friend. Not too central, but in a very cute location (if you love animals like me, there's a farm that's free to visit by the river about a 10min bus ride or 20min walk away). We stayed in a double private ensuite, it was cozy, had everything we needed - I loved the window, great place to sit at and relax for a bit. The beds were kinda small lengthwise though, I'm quite small (158cm) and it was tight, so if you're taller, beware.

Great place to stay, really nice area and great facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed 3 nights in a female only dorm room. The room, the toilet room and shower were all very clean as were the common spaces. The full breakfast was filling but I also cooked in the kitchen which was ok other than someone "mistakenly" taking my milk in the fridge. Thameside hosts a lot of school groups so it could be a bit noisy and congested in the common spaces at times. The hostel is a bit far from the Tower Bridge area but easy to get to using the frequent 381 bus. I recommend!

Very kind staff and complete facilities. I stop there once every year. This time I shared a room with some youngsters. It was expected to be less noisy since my companions were English girls. But the most educated with a Big difference were hindi girls. Just to break the stereotype. I will repeat anyway. New generations Will have to learn how to ask or make an agreement and not imposse the conditions they want in the room.

Staff members behaviors are out standing and the location that every 10 mins there is buses to city

overall very clean and perfect for the price you pay. but, there were no safety lockers inside the room. The shower had terribly low water pressure and one could barely take a shower. They didn't have anything available. If you forget your toothbrush/paste or body wash, you gotta go to a supermarket in the morning and buy it. Room slippers for like £15 if i remember correctly...But i would say that it is perfect for this price. that too in central london.
