Man konnte net schlafen
I hated this hostel. Felt dirty, damp and smelly. Staff were unhelpful and not very friendly. Bad atmosphere. Kitchen dirty. Would not recommend.
avoid this hostel. staff are extremely rude including one woman on reception who accused me of lying when I handed laundry in and got it back with a new item of clothing missing. I am sure lost this and made a mistake, but her behaviour was horrible. She became defensive, didn't apologise for the mistake and was in general an extremely rude woman who shouldn't be working at a hostel. Unfortunately her behaviour towards me tainted my experience of Manuel Antonio
This hostel was only ok. While it was clean and had a good kitchen facility, breakfast does not come included and the restaurant on site has very few vegetarian options - only two (pasta dishes). The location is off a main road and it’s extremely loud with heavy traffic and big vehicles reviving their engine up hill. These noises woke me up every morning around 4am and from then on it was constant. This did impact my trip as it meant I was tired most days.
Hostel was clean and location was good but staff were not super friendly. Not all rooms have proper walls. The 8 bed mixed dorm has one wall that is just a screen door that faces the main road. I am not a light sleeper but found it hard to fall asleep and was woken up early from the constant honking and cars going by.
Kein gutes Hostel.
Possibly the worst hostel I stayed in in Costa Rica. The facilities are okay and they keep it clean but I haven’t had that bad a nights sleep in years. The sounds from the road are awful and for some reason they have no windows or curtains on the windows so good luck staying awake past sunrise. No atmosphere in the shared areas either so it’s not like you can enjoy time outside your room there. The staff were quite helpful and it was suitably clean but not enough to make up for its downfalls...
In general a nice hostel with super nice staff but the kitchen is badly equipped and it’s getting quite full with that many guests, so one has to wait their turn to cook. The dorms are not protected by a wall but only a mosquito net, with the building right next to the street it is very loud and a lot of light. The beds are quite unstable so you will feel every movement of the second person in your bunk bed. I had troubles sleeping.

Staff were very helpful, assisting me with finding travel from Manuel Antonio to Puerto Viejo, which is not easy. The dorm room was quite basic and I found it slightly odd that there were no curtains on the windows which meant you were woken up as soon as it got bright in the morning and on the beds, especially given it was a mixed Dorm The common area was chilled loads of space to hang out and the pool was a nice touch too. A little far from restaurants so you do have to walk/get the bus/Uber
Pretty big hostel; looks quite impressive from the outside, like a sort of treehouse. There's a restaurant (good but a little expensive), a pool, and the kitchen facilities were decent. Only one bathroom in the rooms but there were lots of other options around the property which I appreciated. Strict lights-out/no phones by the rooms at 10pm. Biggest win was that it was located right next to a local bus stop which could take you to Manuel Antonio National park/beach quite easily for 370 colones!
Great place, good position and lovely atmosphere
A nice hostel if you want to chill out. The attached restaurant is nice and convenient too. As a social traveller, there was no social scene or events which was unfortunate. You need to get a taxi everywhere but they are cheap so not the end of the world. The rooms are not fancy and AC would have made a big difference. The staff were lovely.
The hostel was fine, the pool was not amazing. The location was good. There was a bus stop close to the hostel. The people was the thing that made it fun.
The dorms had a balcony with ocean view which was great! Basic rooms but everything that you need (except curtains for the beds...). 5mins by bus from the town (Quepos), and 10-15 to the beach and the national park. It was clean and had nice common spaces, and even a pool!
Me and my friend had a great time staying here! It's perfectly located right in between Quepos and the beaches, with the bus stop 1 min away. El Ranchito, the restaurant on property isn't anything special, but it was a convenient option. No AC but decent fans in the rooms. Common areas are nice - lots of hammocks and tables to hang out at. Josh at front desk was so friendly and so helpful, whether we needed a recommendation for something fun to do or help calling a taxi. Another staff member was...
No notes, everything was amazing!
comfortable hostel with very friendly staff although not the most sociable due to lack of hostel activities
