Poor attitude from reception. No working air conditioning in 18 bed dorm. Poor toilet and shower facilities.

I’m not picky at all, and I’ve stayed at about 25 different hostels. This has got to be the worst one. It felt like a drug house. Hostels seriously need to implement age maximums, otherwise it becomes really weird. I am a male, and can only imagine how uncomfortable young female guests are here. On top of that, which was the main issue, it was really hot, smelled bad, the bed outlets have this notch on them that doesn’t let adaptors plug into them, the bed lights were a terrible bright whi...

We were charged 60 pounds per night each for a six bsd dorm (admittedly only 5 came) Room was very basic , very , bathroom was tiny and in poor condition, broken tiles on floor etc. I don't think I'd go again , far too expensive

Bathrooms are not very clean you find hairs all over the place , also bed covers are stained and pillows are too small

The staff was awesome especially Conor very good guy. Too overpriced, although it has an excellent location. Not clean at all (found hair from whoever stayed there before - strange smell entering the hostel). It has a kitchen but that's about it about the facilities. I am afraid I would never select that accomodation again.

Though the facilities were fine, the room was fine the constant noise all week long was absolutely horrible. Due to it being so hot we had no choice but to sleep with the window open. Which ment we heard all of the drunken drama on the streets. We were there for a decent length stay which ment way to long without a good night sleep. I also found it a bit over priced for the level of noise and how uncomfortable the beds were. Though the staff were nice I would not stay there again.

Very unsafe, as all room keys unlocked every room in the building. I stayed in an all women’s room, but some guy was able to get in at 2am and was yelling about how someone was stealing his bed. Felt like a place for teenage runaways and homeless people. The staff were more interested in the football game they had going on one monitor at reception than helping guests. Not to mention the mold in the shower. Wouldn’t stay here if I was paid to.

Very nice stay in the heart of Dublin. Location could be better for this hostel. Super clean and very confortable and also felt very authentic as most of the staff were Irish. Really happy with my stay

All bathrooms are en-suite with one room containing a toilet, sink, and shower with a door that locks behind you. Makes it hard to get ready with multiple people in the room. Have to put the sheets on the bed yourself, which may be an issue if you’re arriving late at night. Lacks good social spaces. Other than that I had no issues and it was a clean, safe place to spend the night.

Very clean and peaceful place , reception workers are helpful and friendly. Definitely worth to visit!

Excelente hostal, recomiendo

Out of any hostel I've been to before, the staff here was by far the loveliest. The kitchen is also very well equipped. The only thing not perfect about this place was the dorm's bathroom, which is quite decrepit and unpleasant to use (I think I saw some mold). Otherwise I loved my stay, would also come back.

There was a glaring hole in security. CCTV did not cover a small annex corridor leading to my room & two other rooms. This allowed a drunken individual with a pass to burst into the room in early hours to wedge fully open the room so he could snarl and glare at us all. He stood over my bed shining a light in my face calling me a c##t. A terrifying ordeal. I reported it to management (Linda) who shrugged it off as normal. Apparently, I was supposed deal with it then. Not taken seriously at all :(

Great! Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Kitchen was super clean and nice as well. Rooms were small but everything else was perfect.

Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was modern and very nice. Water pressure in the showers was really good. Beds were comfy, but no curtains. The staff was so helpful and kind- very willing to answer questions and offer help and recommendations. 18 bed mixed dorm was very loud at all hours of the night, which is to be expected. Overall, great value for money and definitely recommended.

The hostel itself was great — clean, good location, and overall a really nice place to stay. The only downside was one of the male reception staff who came across a bit snotty and dismissive, which wasn’t very welcoming. Aside from that, everything else was spot on and I’d still recommend it.

Ashfield Hostel - Dublin… is so straightforward, the staff are very friendly, helpful, and exceptionally hospitable. Have stayed here a couple of times now. Excellent location. Brilliant kitchen facilities. Very clean. Maybe a wee bit rough round the edges in some areas. A lick of paint wouldn't go wrong. Staff are always very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The place was very ratty and the kitchen was grubby. No cold water in basin bathroom. Shower was broken and the tables and kitchen counters were dirty. however the bathroom was clean and sheets were nicely laundered. needs an update. staff were very friendly and welcoming .

Hostel was alright staff were perfectly friendly just didn’t feel very safe, half the guests were older people that basically lived there and stayed there all the time not tourists, the room felt very stuffy as windows weren’t open also the fact that you only have to press a button to be let in with nobody checking you stayed there especially on a major Dublin street like that meant anyone could’ve been in there, it’s the cheapest option but I would’ve rather spent an extra few euros f...
