Lilla Brunn Hostel

I got several bites during my stay at the hostel. The bites increased after the third night, and I had only two possible places of exposure: my daughter’s home and this hostel. I also noticed that several long‑term residents don’t have enough storage space, so their belongings are on the floors and beds. This adds clutter and makes proper room inspections more difficult. There were two clearly black spots on the bedsheet, and a long‑term resident told me there had been bedbugs in the building before. I informed the staff and sent photos, but I was not believed even with the pictures. I was not told who inspected the room, when it was done, or whether the inspector was a professional. The professional inspection and written report I requested were not provided. I was also asked if I had been somewhere else, even though I had already explained there were only two possible exposure locations. This further reduced my trust. I was left with the impression that the situation was downplayed and not handled openly. My trust was lost, and I did not feel respected as a guest. I am writing this so future guests can make an informed decision.

There are bedbugs. I don’t know about the single rooms, but I stayed in a 4-people dorm for one night and canceled the following night because got bights on my led, arm, chest and face. It was itching during the night, but later during the day and the following day got completely swollen. The bites are classic bedbugs (in a little row, and there are no mosquitoes in early March, and I traveled in Asia before where I had sadly a similar experience). I was looking forward to the stay at this hostel and the price is amazing as well as the location. The reviews from previous guests note the cleanliness and that made me excited. But tbh, even not to mention the bedbugs, the overall cleanliness was questionable. Also, the walls are thin and it gets noisy . I checked previous comments and actually found several notes that said that they also encountered bedbugs, so looks like this problem is not new. The staff was kind, but does not change the fact that I had to spend a lot of time to find a new place to live and disinfect all my clothes.

Avoid this place. Was here for 10 days. The second day was told off for using too much toilet paper, the third day - staff and the owner of the hostel turned off the tap while I was brushing my teeth. The 4th day onwards had bed bugs all over Mindy (neck, throat, colla bone, upper back, lower back, legs, hands) …

Bedbugs!!! I got bites at nigt, found one, killed it. They have very special smell. So if somwone is eating you there at night, it is bedbugs! I need to get such a bad review because it is a very big issue for poeple who are as allergic to them as I am. If you dont mind them then it is best blace to be. I have forgotten to google hotel or hostel for bedbugs review. They promised to give me money back but not so far. I left at 3am on my first night because hudge hudge allergies for these bugs.

BEDBUGS! AVOID AT ALL COST! The whole hostel is infested with bed bugs. Someone in my dorm got bitten and moved to another room but the staff did not check any of the other beds. Later that day they checked a new person to the bed. I found a bed bug walking on me at night and spend hours in the shared area waiting for someone to come in. They offered free breakfast and said they’ll move me to a different room. I then found out from another guest that the new room also has bed bugs. I decided to leave and asked for a refund and Daniela said she’ll do it but only if I promise not to write a review. After I left they marked me as a no show on booking.com to stop me from writing about it. I was heavily bitten, had to find new accommodation for the rest of my trip and wasted hours on washing all of my belongings. The staff wear “fake-apologetic”. I know from one of the guests they checked in people that my original room after I left.

There were bed bugs in our dorm. We informed the staff and they did everything they could to help us: give us different beds for the night, wash and dry our clothes and disinfect the room. Unfortunately, the problem persisted.

They have bed bugs, I ended up being bitten about 30 times.

On my bed there was bed bugs and they were running over me. This made my stay quite uncomfortable and I had to deep clean all my belongings before entering my house again.

Of course it's always happens randomly and people with whom you share a room are not always good but this time I wasn't lucky and the whole night I didn't sleep because of a drunk guy who fell from the bed and snored very loudly the rest of the night. Another thing that I was bitten by bedbugs, it was my 3rd time there and seems that it wasn't just a coincidence (last time happened the same but I wasn't sure where because I moved after to another apartment) :(

Pour le moment c'est le pire dortoir ou j'ai dormi je ne retournerai pas et je ne le recommande pas car j'étais mordue par des punaises de lit je dois désinfecter mes affaires et espère ne pas contaminer chez moi

We agreed on me extending my stay a half day because of late flight at 8:00 they told me at 6:00 I have to leave the property because all of a sudden they have a booking which was not what we agreed on after many discussions totally and disrespect for the customer I get kicked out at 6:00 paid $150 crowns..for what?! Do not book this place unless you want to be tricked and bitten by disgusting bed bugs as the bed sheets aren't even included you have to pay extra and after long travel day make your bed disgusting.Look else were!

Super cold rooms where is the heat!??And bed bugs since the don't offer bed sheets so people bring there private one and spread these creatures... DON'T RECOMMEND!

I had a pretty rough time at the hostel. The toilets and showers were NOT CLEAN at all, and on my last day, I found BED BUGS in my bed, which left me with a bunch of bites. I ended up having to wash all my clothes at 50°C when I got back home. When I reach them to explain I found the bites where indeed comming from these bed bugs I had to contact them up to 4 times before getting any response. They didn’t offer any compensation, just a 50% discount for another stay, which is definitely NOT happening. They basically said I could have brought the bed bugs with me, ignoring the photos I sent as proof :). They didn’t even apologize. So disappointing. I’m never going back there.

The bunk beds were squeaky and shaky, making it difficult to sleep. Additionally, I got multiple bedbug bites all over my body, but unable to get a refund.

I don't recommend this place at all. It was not possible to fall asleep during any of nights nor mornings I spent there, and I got bed bugs from this place that have been biting me all over my body, neck and face, and thus I had to properly clean and wash everything at another place that took time, energy, stress, and money.

All was great :)

Loud room. (Girls room right next to the street could hear music from outside).Bathroom wasn’t clean.The toilet seat kept closing, using it was very uncomfortable. Not recommend for backpackers a lot of people seem to actually be living there. I felt very itchy when laying in the bed. Informed them I thought there were bedbug and was simply told they are in my sleeping bag (they are not).(Don’t know if there actually are just thought there might be due to itchiness) RUDE personal at check in!

(negatives) bed bugs, only some of the staff are friendly, have to pay for bed linen, beds creak more than any other hostel ive stayed in, in Europe, dont expect an uninterrupted sleep, no plug beside top bunks (positives)good location, can walk everywhere, kitchen facilities are OK, atmosphere around the hostel was nice, although didnt meet anyone

BED BUGS!!!! If you stay here, do NOT leave your luggage on the ground and if possible sleep in long sleeves/pants. I stayed in room 1 and came away covered in bed bug bites. Staff doesn't seem to do anything about, and they also aren't particularly available if you need help. No common area to relax in. That aside, this is in a pretty good north-Stockholm location and on the cheaper side if you're on a budget. Not the worst, definitely not the best.

Hade vägglöss (bed bugs) i våra sängar. Lämnade samma kväll. Tog bilder som vi visade personalen men får ingen återbetalning eller ersättning för de två outnyttjade nätter vi bokat och betalt för.
