Good Hostel. Pretty sure there were bed bugs
+ Hezká cestovatelská atmosféra
- V našem pokoji byly plesnivé zdi. Celý styl hostelu je takový shabby, ale tohle už bylo moc, necítili jsme se pohodlně, hodně věcí bylo oprýskaných a olezlých, bez péče. V hostelu jsme nepřespali.

- La chambre était frigorifié (13 ou 14° dans la chambre) Il y avait du bruit comme si nous étions au bord de la route Il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude et la chasse d’eau n’évacuait pas bien… Bref, un gros fail pour un logement en famille. Certainement bien seul ou en couple, pas dans une chambre frigorifiée

- Wszystko bardzo stare, w nocy zamarzałyśmy, w pokoju były mole, robaki w łazience. W jednej łazience brak cieplej wody, w drugiej słabe ciśnienie. Nie wrócę

- The pipes in the walls banged all night, making it impossible to sleep. This was very mysterious, as it didn’t occur during the day. There was also no hot water in the shower, despite there being hot water in the sink AND in the toilet!
The hostel's great ratings come from its cleanliness and the atmosphere of the staff and guests. We booked a private room and received one that looked like it belonged to a different hostel entirely. The room was in a separate part to the majority of other rooms and was fully concrete, with curtains only covering half the window and a smashed window meaning there was absolutely no noise insulation. Had we known we would receive this room we would have booked elsewhere for better value for money.

- Todo muy antiguo/viejo daba sensacion de sucio, aunque no lo estaba. Sinceramente, este tipo de alojamiento no es lo que buscaba, pues nos daba un poco de asco todo. Y no soy escrupulosa ni asquerosa pero uff... Era como si estuvieras en una casona muy vieja, sin ningun tipo de acondicionamiento/mantenimiento.
Very rough around the edges... often dirty (particularly showers). Not a great location (15mn walk to main area and few surrounding restaurants. 0 social aspect. Didn't host any of the scheduled social events to my knowledge. Lockers did not work properly. Regretted staying here
Beautiful property and great breakfast but there are bedbugs in the 8 bed mixed dorm. I stayed in the female dorm the first few nights and had no problems. I was covered in bites after the 2 nights I spent in the mixed dorm though. When I mentioned this to the staff, they were quite dismissive and insisted the bites/bed bugs hadn’t come from the dorm, but rather from my clothes. I just read some other reviews and see that bed bugs have been a problem in the mixed dorm. Also not a super social ...
Not a social hostel AT ALL. The staff messed up a tour I was supposed to do, so I had to do it privately - which was a real inconvenience as I had a limited amount of time. It’s also not in a central location and I didn’t feel safe walking around. I don’t understand how it’s rated so highly when it’s below average.

I really loved the property. It’s very cozy and authentic. I’d definitely come back. Just the staff was not very courteous and not all facilities worked properly.
Best hostel ever! All the women that work here are so sweet and friendly and make you feel at home. The hostel itself is absolutely gorgeous, it was difficult to tear ourselves away from relaxing in the garden to see the city!

+ Die Gestaltung war sehr liebevoll und der Patio einfach wunderschön. Die Küche und Badezimmer total passend, im Zimmer hätte es ein wenig mehr Möglichkeiten zum verstauen und Aufhängen von Kleidung geben können. Die Gastgeber waren sooooo nett und hilfsbereit und die Hechte im Wasserbassin sehr spannend. Ich würde sofort wiederkommen.
The design was very loving and the patio was just beautiful. the kitchen and bathroom fit perfectly, there could have been a little more room for storing and hanging clothes. the hosts were sooooo nice and helpful and the attachments in the pool were very exciting. i would come back immediately.

+ Sehr schönes Hostel mit vielen schönen Ecken, Sitzmöglichkeiten, und sehr hilfsbereiten Personal. Die Themenabende, wie z. B Tamalisabend laden dazu ein neue Leute kennenzulernen. Die Zimmer sind zwar einfach ausgestattet aber alles ist sauber.
Very nice hostel with many nice corners, seating facilities, and very helpful staff. the theme evenings, such as B Tamalisabend invite you to meet new people. the rooms are simply equipped but everything is clean.
I love the vibe at this hostel. Pure Mexican delight with flowers growing off the rooftops, lovely terraces and great food. I got a private room and it was lovely. The shared bathrooms were just across the patio. It was a quiet place and I highly recommend it for travelers. Wifi is weak, and this was an issue for me as I work remotely. I paid for a private room so I wouldn't bother anyone with my meetings, but the wifi didn't reach my room, so I had to sit in the patio. My apologies.

+ The feeling in Posada del Abuelito is that of staying with a welcoming and warm family in their beautiful Mexican villa. The kitchen and garden allow for shared experiences with other guests. The private rooms are really special.

This hostel is so beautiful. It’s situated a bit out of the city center, which made it a calm place to stay. The staff is very friendly and the other guests were very social, always making plans to go for dinner together or other activities. I did think the bed in my dorm could have been a bit more comfortable, and getting hot water was not easy. At breakfast I always had a long wait and it was a bit crowded. Nice rooftop terrace to do yoga. I would come back here!
