Genuinely loved it here. The staff were instantly friendly and accommodating, and I had some of my favourite memories in India on their sunrise tour. Beautiful rooftop and cafe area. Thank you Mahen, Abishek, Sathik, Rohit, and the rest of the Tamasha team!

They had hot water

I left within about 10 minutes of arriving and cancelled my stay. The dorm is by no means 'deluxe' which is a misleading description. The location is great but the room is very basic and cramped. When I arrived, there was no electricity and the lady on the reception really couldn't haven't been less interested. The impression was as though I was inconveniencing her by checking in. They agreed a refund for only 2/3 of the nights which is not fair given the misleading description but I accepted

Tamasha is my favourite place to be in Udaipur. Right in the heart of the old city, within 150m from the City Palace, & other tourist destinations, Tamasha is the place that made me fall in love with the ‘Venice of India’. The hosts-Elivia,Pragya are the friendliest people I’ve met. They customise perfect local recommendations for you. As a solo backpacker, Tamasha felt like that perfect cherry-on-top. Auf der positiven Seite steht definitiv die Lage. Zentraler in der Altstadt geht es nicht. Die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fussläufig erreichbar. Das Personal ist auch nett und hilfsbereit. Nun zu den negativen Dingen. Leider ist es durch die Lage auch sehr laut. Das Interieur und die Möbel sind sehr abgerockt. Meine Matratze war steinhart. Die Handtücher und Bettwäsche fleckig. Gottseidank hatte ich einen Schlafsack und ein eigenes Handtuch. Ich kann es nicht weiterempfehlen.

The view from the hotel is magnificent, but I had two very bad nights because of the noise. You can hear everything in the hotel and outside. The staff are friendly but completely clueless. I wonder if they've had any training at all. Check-in took an enormous amount of time and the room wasn't ready despite arriving at 2.30 pm. It's fine for one night, but no more than that.

Fantastic place to stay in Udaipur. Really nice space to chill upstairs with an amazing view. All the staff work very hard to make everyone welcome. Would recommend!

Great hostel. Friendly staff. Nice view from the top. And occasional movies also played on the roof.

We had such an amazing time staying at Tamasha. Mahen and Misbah were so welcoming and fun. The best part of our trip was hanging out with them at the hostel!! Misbah booked a train for us to our next destination, and even woke up at 5 am when we had to leave and booked us a tuk tuk to the train station, made sure we got in and made sure we got to the train station! If you’re visiting Udaipur, I highly recommend you stay here. This will be the highlight of our time in India!!

Overall, I had an enjoyable experience in this hostel. The location is a 2-4 mins walk from the city palace. The staffs were very hospitable and friendly. Their rooftop view is great. If you have extra time you can go on a day trip/tour outside to the mountains and around the city on a scooter. Rooms were clean and there’s laundry service.

Had a great stay at Tamasha Udaipur, staff were really friendly the rooftop was really nice to hang out in, vibes were immaculate!

Amazing location by the lake with a really beautiful terrace view. Misbah (community manager) is super friendly and makes everyone feel included, while Mahen and Satish are super helpful with great local recommendations. The staff really put an effort to create a fun, social atmosphere. Only small cons: bathroom door needs fixing and table charges could be clearer. Overall, awesome people, great energy, would definitely stay again!

I would recommend this hostelto anyone! Such a warm welcome. The stuff was so nice. You really feel like and get treated an old friend. I loved it!

I arrived quite early and I found the staff to be a bit odd. Strange check-in process where the receptionist doesn't even have access to a computer, it was hard communicating as well. The room didn't have lockers and not much storage space. The rooftop which looks great on the HW pics was very run down. When I stayed the place wasn't social at all. I already had a group, but if you go solo, most likely you will just find locals and very few foreigners. Location and views are good though.

I enjoyed my stay here. The hostel has a great social vibe thanks to the lovely hosts, Ellivia and Mahinder bhai. The views from the common area are spectacular! Property location is very convenient and allows comfortable walks to major attractions such as the City Palace and Jagdish Mandir. Overall, recommended.
