The staff at this place were the standout from this place. Reslly friendly and welcoming with lots going on. It was a nice balance of social yet chilled and breakfast was a nice addition. I didn't really use the pool and i did have a bed bug situation but there was still regular room service and the price and location make this a 5 star!

The stay at Secret Garden was unpleasant. My private room (“deluxe”) was in a rather shady and not clean hotel on the other side of the road and not part of the usual hostel. The biggest problem: a lot of bed bugs on the bed that contaminated all my clothing. When I saw them, I got a new room and later also a refund for the night but that did not really make it better - I am still fighting with the bed bugs now. Furthermore, the breakfast was a pretty dry banh mih (pho was also an option).

The place is nice, the hostel is ok. Despite of some bedbugs in the dorms. But the main thing! And I can't stress this enough, is the coffee!!!! It's just brown vinegar. I had bitter sour, fruity, sweet coffee, but this is just ... Avoid the coffee!

My bunk had bedbugs. The staff suggested I had allergies instead, but I heard from friends later that they found bedbugs. I contacted them for a refund but didn't get one. Everything else with the hostel was fine. I guess I got unlucky.
