Lilac City Motor Inn & Steakhouse

The mattress had massive indentations in it like a walrus had been laying on it for years. It was very hard and I could feel the springs with my chest when laying down. Whenever I rolled over to try and get comfortable I could hear the springs make a noise. The bed was also on wheels, so it moved twice when sitting down, nearly resulting in falling off. The top bed cover looked like it was 50 years old and smelt like it hadn’t been cleaned in the same time. The toilet was literally up against a wall so my left side was against the wall, therefore had to sit diagonally on it which was not comfortable at all, then having to manoeuvre myself to get toilet paper then actually wipe myself was not fun. The shower pressure was no more than a dribble. The pressure was absolutely terrible, and it took minutes to find a balance between scolding hot and too cold. There was dirt and rubbish behind the bed (we know because the bed slid out twice) There were cigarette butts everywhere outside on the walkways and staircase which I find absolutely repulsive. It looked like the stairs and walkways hadn’t been cleaned in years. The hole place just looked dirty and uncared for, including the gardens (if you could actually call them that) and grass. I felt like I needed a shower in the morning when I woke up just to get that dirty feeling off me. I was genuinely concerned about having bed bugs all over me. The main window had one of those blockout roller blinds but no curtains, so if we wanted the blind up for some sunlight we couldn’t because anyone walking past could see straight in and see us which was a very uncomfortable feeling.
