The Hosteller Goa, Mandrem

The staff play music day and night, blasting it from loud speakers and annoying everyone who's looking for a little peace in a loud world. Loud music in the pool area, in the restaurant, and on the balconies. There is no peace to be found at this hostel. The speaker system is terribly loud and annoying. The washrooms in the dorms are disgusting; they smell sewer-like, even when just cleaned. It doesn't feel like a home. I will never come back, and I feel sorry for anyone who has to stay here.

We arrived in our room and our beds already had other people’s stuff on. Be aware they accept groups so our dorm was already taken over by a group, who proceeded to talk all night. We reported this at 5am and were told to go and find somewhere else. We then questioned this, to which a staff member was woken who was sleeping outside, poor from the company. The staff took us to a new room and inconsiderately turned the main lights on. For good facilties and better vibes go to Happy Panda Arambol...

Booked a mixed dorm and then found female dorms available, asked if I could change and pay the extra. I was told I couldn’t and there was no flexibility around this. Having travelled a lot this is usually not an issue with hostels, they understand the importance of women feeling safe. The response didn’t making me feel confident that they would be helpful if there were any issues which some women have experienced. Also the payment process is really strange! Wouldn’t suggest for women.

Nice modern and clean hostel, the staff were very helpful and attentive but it’s not a social hostel for backpackers. The location is great right on the beach but not near by good nightlife/social scene.

Stayed at The Hosteller Goa, Mandrem and had an amazing experience! The property has such a peaceful vibe, perfect if you want to relax but still meet fellow travellers. The rooms and common areas were clean, the staff was super friendly and always helpful, and the beach is just a short walk away. Loved the café and the overall atmosphere during evenings. Great place for solo travellers, groups, and workations alike. Would definitely stay here again on my next Goa trip!

Had a great stay! Matthew and his team were super nice and always there to help! I can only recommend, few minutes walk from the beach. I’ll be back!

What an amazing stay experience I had at this newly opened hostel! The view is beautiful and staff is helpful in everything one needs. Definitely coming back again!

The property itself was beautiful Sea view and about a 2 minute walk from the beach Staff were helpful and kind The breakfast included doesn’t include any options, you just get given whatever is being made, however it was nice but some of us would have preferred a choice. The restaurant only has vegan food which is a bit annoying Hostel is also cashless, everything is ordered from an app:) also mainly Indian people in hostel

overall really enjoyed my stay. very clean. showers were amazing. the app for ordering food was good. was never told how to get back into my room after i first left it though so that was a bit of an inconvenience. didn’t know it was all through the app.

Overall Crazy

Overall an awesome experience. The whole staff was great.

The hostel stay was ergonomicly very good. Clean, spacious bathrooms, Ocean view, night lamps, and a hanging organizer to stow your glasses, watch etc as you head to sleep.
