Hostel San Marino

Hostel looked a little run down from the outside but was very clean on the inside. Located a little bit outside the old town, it wasn’t a terrible walk. Only complaints are that you’re not provided with a blanket, just a sheet so it can be chilly at night. I also got bed bugs here :(

BED BUGS! I even moved rooms and there were bed bugs there too. Management did not care at all. Didn’t even want to give me a new room. DO NOT STAY!

es gab viele Bettwanzen und ich musste einige selbst töten. Ich wurde überall gestochen. Das Saal war sehr hässlich,, alt und dunkel. Für den ganzen Saal gab es eine einzige Steckdose. Gemischter Saal ohne Vorhänge.

Would not recommend! Quite a lot of bedbugs and a not-so-helpful staff who couldn't care less… Again.. Would not recommend!

There are bed bugs and the place is not clean

The vibe. There are some older people who live in the hostel, and I found their attitude judging and unpleasant (especially women). They were loud and some of them seemed drunk. I felt very uncomfortable, and left first time in the morning because of it. The woman under my bunk snored so loudly that none of us could sleep, and her attitude towards everyone was so rude. She should have a private room. The cleanliness. The bathroom was very dirty, and the other areas were not that clean either. The sponge in the kitchen should be replaced immediately, and the kitchen needs a general cleaning. Wifi was bad, and I could not fully charge my phone during the night due to the fact that there was only one socket with lots of cables that had been used by all of the guests in the room at the same time. However, it was an affordable option to stay in San Marino (not cheap because I paid almost 30 EUR for the stay, which is pricy for a hostel), and I do think the place has a potential to improve.

I do not typically leave reviews, but in this case I had to. I slept in one of the dormitories and woke up to hundreds of bed bug bites. Friendly service; however, very poor cleaning in the rooms!

A lot of bed bugs! A LOT!

The wifi was weak and slow, I saw at least two bed bugs and I was bitten by them, the showers have a poor drainage system and not enough drains, and there were not enough lockers. This could be a great accommodation if these few issues are fixed!

La habitación en la que me quedé había chinches y pase dos noches horribles. Aunque después pedí cambio de habitación y ahí ya no tuve problemas con esos animales no fue agradable. Sólo hay un baño para los huéspedes que no tienen en su habitación.

!! Bedbugs be careful !! The place will do the job for a night ot two if you're not too demanding. The bus from and to Rimini is just next to the hostel and the funicular to the city of San Marino is about 30 minutes walk. The staff is nice. The hostel is ok, not the best but not the worst. Only the bedbugs will ruin your stay.

Bed bugs. Room had a local guy who's lived there for 3 years and sleep screams / talks to himself.

Only one stove, that is, only one person can cook food. If you are late then you have to wait for it to finish. And there are bed bugs in room 207, I got bitten every night. And on the third night the most. I have sensitive skin and it was terrible (some photos attached but that's not all). You need to do something about it. I understand that this is an extra expense, but this is a big problem for guests. If you do a complete disinfection and if you get rid of bed bugs then you will be a 10 out of 10 hostel!

J AI EU DES PUNAISE DE LIT !!! Je me retrouve en road trip avec des centaines de bouton, Chambre sales sans prise, personnel pas accueillant, prix assez chère pour une auberge, 30-40min du centre, payé 3 euro en plus pour des draps…

A suitable hostel for a couple nights. The staff were fine, and the kitchen was usable. The whole place is pretty run down, and could use some work. One plug socket per room isn't great, but AC is a plus. One toilet for the entire building is a bit rubbish. The shower room has 3 showers, separated by barely translucent glass, which could be a problem as it's mixed s**. Found a couple of bed bugs and some funky-looking stains on my bed, which was pretty poor. The hostel is okay, for a short stay.

Wir hatten zu beginn Schwierigkeiten uns mit dem Personal zu verständigen. In den Gruppenzimmern waren Bettwanzen. Unsere Zimmergenossin war komplett zerstochen. Ich war froh das ich einen Schlafsack hatte den die Bettwäsche kostet zusätzlich und war nicht unbedingt sauber. Der Raum war mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet die nicht weiter als 24 grad kühlt was in einem Gruppenzimmer eine Katastrophe ist. Wir sind mit dem Auto morgens direkt weggefahren und sehr spät ins Hostel zurück weil man sich sehr ungern im Hostel aufgehalten hat. Nachdem wir weiter gereist sind haben wir in unserem Gepäck Bettwanzen gefunden. Ich würde lieber 100€ mehr bezahlen anstatt so eine Erfahrung nochmal machen zu müssen. In dem Zimmer gab es kaum Steckdosen wir waren froh das wir eine Steckerleiste dabei hatten. In den Duschen schimmeln die Duschvorhänge vor sich hin und im Salon ist es kaum aushaltbar da dieser Raum nicht klimatisiert ist.

Bed bugs are a problem.

If it weren't so close to San Marino, I wouldn't have stayed here. Beds were filthy, dried blood could be seen in places, friend got biten by bed bugs, the owner didn't speak English and the instructions on how to get to San Marino were very poor. I ended up reading a travel blog to find the right bus and it's location. On top of all these things, the building seemed to be an old nursing ward of some type. I didn't meet many travellers here either.
