SLO Nice

I had a horrible experience at SLO Hostel in Nice. After the first night, I discovered a flea infestation in my bed I woke up to see tiny insects crawling on my socks. The place is not worth the price. The bathroom was broken. No heating system and they charge way more than an average hotel in the area

Private rooms don't come with private bathrooms. Shared bathrooms are tiny, don't have hand dryers or paper towels

I stayed at this hostel in August 2024 and wouldn’t recommend it! My complete backpack was stolen from the girls’ dormitory at night by a man who broke in while we were sleeping. I spent the night at the police station to file a report, and we no longer felt safe. Despite claiming 24/7 security, there was no access control. The hostel was uncooperative. The hostel is very clean & modern but the bunk beds system is so uncomfortable & beds are so small , u feel like u are sleeping in a box where u are inclosed from all sides. It feels so hot too while sleeping even with AC due to the system of these beds. The hostel is not social at all without any activities. Also I heard during my stay that couple of people had their stuff stolen during their stay which is really a worrying situation.

Hostel was clean and comfortable, rooms weren't too hot, which is often a common problem I find in some hostels. Location good for station and getting around the coast. Staff are friendly but not very informative; they didn't mention that there is a fridge that you can store things in if you want to - no offer of map etc. or explanation of where some useful things are. The breakfast is wildly overpriced for what it is. Nowhere near enough toilets and showers for the dorm rooms.

The hustle itself is cute and well designed. But I heard of many lockers being broken into, and things being stolen inside the hostel. It seems as though it was an unsafe environment!

The hostel itself was nice but the security was horrible. You only need one keycard to get into the building/room, you could technically just come in from the outside and check every door for being open. The doors appeared to be closed but they weren‘t. You had to shut them down hard! There was items stolen and the police and the staff were not too helpful (although that depended on the person at the front desk, some were). It was nice but for that price I expected the security to be better.

Nice hostel but overpriced for what you get. Mostly paying for the aesthetic of the place. Staff were nice. Breakfast really standard, nothing special. Bed and pillow super uncomfortable. Dorm and bathrooms super stuffy, no air circulation in the bathrooms. I would come back only because it’s secure and the other places looked really dingy with no privacy.

A well located hostel just a 10 minute walk from Nice Ville station and a 15/20 min walk to the beach front. Appreciated all the facilities in my bunk! I paid for breakfast which had a good selection and set my day up right. I really appreciated the sustainability credentials of the hostel and all the useful hints and tips around the building. Whilst there wasn’t much opportunity for socialising I met other people via Hostelworld during my trip elsewhere in the city!

This was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Clean, kind staff and great location! Don’t hesitate to book a room here!

Great choice for solo travelers in Nice. I felt very safe, and the dormitories were very clean; the bed was comfortable; the staff was friendly; and it is very well located (15-minute walk from the beach and old town).

Lovely hostel, pod beds with nice matresses curtains for privacy, nice staff. There are not quite enough bathrooms but one can always go for available ones on other floors. Great location.

Can’t fault this hostel, it has everything you need, super clean and quiet, the staff were very helpful and breakfast was great.

Cool interior design, cozy and clean room (i stayed in small private), friendly stuff close to train station but nice is small you can walk or bike everywhere within around 10 min Thank you

Suchhh a good hostel. Wasn’t too expensive but felt clean and safe. Very central location and helpful staff.

It was a very nice property with nice staff and clean facilities. The bed was comfy and we had a nice little balcony view from the room. It’s not very social which I enjoyed and needed some down time. My one problem was I think I booked an en-suite bathroom and it was it was across the hallway which again was okay it was clean and nice, just wasn’t what I expected. Overall I would stay here again.

SLO Nice was a great place to stay in Nice. I would stay there again very easily. It is quiet, clean, and well located. The staff is helpful and friendly. It was a very positive experience.

Staff were very welcoming, but management was disappointing. Heating was frequently limited to 18°C in December and controlled only by staff, resulting in four very cold nights. Motion-sensor lights in the dorm turned on every few minutes, disturbing sleep. Bunk design caused light and food debris from the upper bed. Bathrooms lacked cleanliness, cleaning lacked discretion, and large windows had no curtains, offering no privacy. Modern design, but service standards are below expectations for a ...

Nice and calming property with most of the essentials right at like a 5 mins walk . Loved the atmosphere at the stay. Definitely recommend if looking for a nice peaceful stay

Overall really nice facilities and location. I wish there was more bathroom facilities on the floors. Breakfast selection looked good, I didn’t not have it included in my stay though.

Decent. Really close to the main train station in Nice, 20 or so minute walk from the beach and other attractions. Didn’t feel very social. One of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in.
