The worst place I have ever stayed in. Clearly the photographs take on this site must be taken a very long time ago, because the place now is broken, shabby, muddy and dirty. But the worst thing is that for a private room it’s over priced. 1. It’s uncomfortable, lumpy old bedding and no where to sit and relax 2. The common areas were very small and crowded with other guests who if we’re smoking were right next to you. 3. so called swimming pool is the river. 4. Bamboo walls are paper thin...
One of the worst hostels in ever had! Not very clean, the food is not good and expensive. Long distance to the city center. Beds are comfy but the rooms are not this good. No lockers. Had a awful stay there.
We stayed near the bar. The walls were thin and made of bamboo. We could hear everything going on, and it felt like people were in our room. Sleep was really poor unfortunately because of this. The location is at least a 20-25 minute walk from anything meaningful and nice to see. On top of this, the food was all way overpriced and underwhelming. Half the shakes & food they offer were not on stock, and the place had no meaningful atmosphere. Overall very disappointed. Don't book.
Except from the hostel being beautiful I do not recommend to stay there There is no doors (that close) to the dorms. My locker was broken and the staff didn’t offer any solution (got money stolen) Also quite a bit out of the way so there is nothing waking distance The worst in their restaurant…. It’s very expensive and the portion are very small I went there hoping to have a relaxing time but ended up spending so much as I didn’t 2 dishes to feel full (I’m a 59kg woman,...
Lovely location on the river but the overall impression was that the place was run down. Both the outdoor areas and the rooms we’re pretty dirty. Communication with staff wasn’t always easy and they were not very friendly or accommodating. Overpriced.
I don't like leaving bad reviews but I wish someone wrote a review like this before I booked it. The place is basically completely open, the doors are all open to the outside, there are holes in the roof and gaps in the walls so it's basically like sleeping outside. The roosters are extremely loud in the morning because again - you're basically outside. It is very far from the city center so it's very frustrating trying to do anything and the tuk tuks try to charge you too much all the time. The...
Dorm rooms have no windows and the door doesn’t shut bugs flying inside everywhere. They put nets around the beds. Bathroom was clean but only two outlets in the room for 8 people none by the beds. Includes a boat tour which was nice and the cafe has good food and pricy drinks. Staff were super nice but I would not stay here again. Location is a 30 minute walk from the nicer part of town with the attractions and night market.
Far away from the center, 30 Minutes to walk. My bedsheets were dirty and the whole place was really dusty and dirty. The bathroom was kinda dirty too.
Quiet far from the center and very noisy (construction and roosters at 5.30 am... + Mosquitoes.) I was disapointed
The place is nice but most of the rooms doesn't have the view that you see in the pictures. Almost all the rooms and dorms are very close to the bar ,so you can't sleep if people talk ,drink etc. No silence rules ,so if you are unlucky like us ,you can't sleep until 1 am.

Super helpful staff, clean and nice rooms, great location and value.
Very chill
Nice hotel with views of the river. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Biggest complaint is the noise! You can literally hear everything from neighboring bungalows so make sure you have earplugs…
Lovely hostel with amazing beds and a very chill vibe. The neighbours rooster will wake you up at 5:30am though if you’re not wearing proper earplugs!
Gezellig. Sfeervol. Terras aan het water Lekker eten. Goeie bedden. Half uurtje wandelen van het centrum maar ook gratis watertaxi naar het centrum. En zelfs gratis sunset cruise Heerlijke oase.
Cozy. atmospheric. terrace by the waterfront Good food. good beds. half an hour walk from the center but also free water taxi to the center. and even free sunset cruise Heerlijke oasis.
It is far from the centre but you can rent a bike or take the free boat from the hostel. Very clean, chill and good vibes
Tout simplement la meilleure auberge du Laos. Endroit magnifique, personnel adorable, petit restaurant, lit super confortable. Je ne peux que recommander +++
It is simply the best hostel in Laos. magnificent location, adorable staff, small restaurant, super comfortable lights. i can only recommend +++

Although slightly out of town (only a 35 mun walk) they offer a free boat to and from the centre from 9:30-5 each day. Free drinking water and places to relax next to the river (also river swimming is encouraged!) are a bonus. The food is nice at the restaurant and the vibe is quiet and friendly. The staff are great and it also seemed really good for families. Our room was next to reception so we quite loud at times but nothing a good pair of earplugs won't fix!
Douches propres et grandes. Lit confortable. Parfait pour se reposer en coin de verdure. La nourriture est bonne. Sympa pour le petit déjeuner ou autre quand on n’a pas envie de se déplacer. Inconvénient : il n’y a pas de climatisation. Et pas de rideau de lit.
Clean and large showers. Comfortable bed. Perfect for resting in a green corner. The food is good. Nice for breakfast or other when you don't want to move. Disadvantage: no air conditioning. And no bed curtain.
A very cute place! Beautiful river views. The bed was super comfortable. No aircondlting but a few fans in the room. It was a 10-15min walk into the centre of town. Big common space with lots of travellers hanging out at times. Also there is puppies wandering around as an added bonus!
Really liked the private room we had here. Very comfy beds. Several times through our 3 day stay, the water supply was cut off for a few hours at a time so had no water in our bathroom. May not have be preventable but wasn’t ideal! A little far from town but nice to be by the river where there’s a very scenic area to sit!

Coole junglehut ervaring. Wel ver van alles vandaan. Vriendelijk personeel. Geen kluisjes. Klamboe i.p.v. airco. Schone nette lakens en fijne huiselijke gezamenlijke ruimte
Cool jungle experience. well away from everything. friendly staff. no lockers. air conditioned bathrooms. clean clean sheets and nice domestic common space
Fan Dee or Sa Sa Laos is a very cute hostel. It’s directly at the river so you can swim and chill there. The rooms are ok, there’s no AC which made it a bit hard to sleep in the upper beds because the fans did not really reach it. Bathroom was ok, simple but not dirty. The staff was nice and informative and the food was also good. It’s a bit far away from the city, so you might need a scooter or you walk for around 15-20min.
it was so easy to get to know people here, since there was a big restaurant/ chillout area, which was very cozy. also the beds in the dorms were quite comfortable, unfortunately i didn't find lockers. also there were shelves missing, to put on your stuff when taking a shower, e.g.
nice place, little loud at night because no insulation and a lot of cocks and dogs around being noisy
