Sailomyen Cafe & Hostel

Unfortunately I found a bed bug in the dorm D bed 3 in the evening. After I had informed the staff I was told I could change the room or change my own duvet cover. I asked the staff if they could change my duvet cover and if I could get a discount in any way. The staff affirmed and apologized several times for the circumstance and told me I can talk to the manager in the next morning. Unfortunately, only my mattress cover was changed, which was later put next to all other clean covers. The next day I talked to the manager who says without proper listening that I am lying even though I had taken a picture. He explained to me that there are no bedbugs, because they wash everything with poison and the last time room A was affected and everything had been cleaned. I still insisted on a discount even if it was just a coffee. Unfortunately, the manager started to get louder and more aggressive, which is why waived the discount at some point. So I had to pay the whole price anyway. his argument was that he had already given us a discout. This just did not correspond to the truth but also did not excuse the bed bug. A friend, who has now also checked in the hostel informed me today that on the same floor mattresses and poison against bed bugs are standing on the floor. Nevertheless, the room was very clean and smelled of detergent. The bathroom was also clean but the rain showers did not work and the toilets are way to small. The cafe downstairs is very nicely decorated and invites you to just relax eventough it’s very cold there. The prices are higher than usual. The breakfast is included in the price of 8 $ which however only gives you the option egg with sausages and cereal. One cup of coffee is only for guests with a Room not a dorm.

I had the horrible night in this hostel. I was bitten by bed bugs. I will not come back here.
