Onefam Sungate

We got scabies while sleeping in this hostel for 2 nights. The signs didn’t show until 2 weeks after and we infected people who live with us without knowing. Everyone had to take the pills and/or put on the cream. It was a nightmare. While staying there we saw how they “change bedsheets”. They do it very fast and don’t change all of the bedsheets.

The building is not fit for purpose — you will not sleep. Worst hostel I have ever been to, period, and without question the worst in Spain by a mile. The Portuguese desk assistant was rude, carried an overinflated ego (without any visible reason as to why), and was extremely patronising and negative — all hidden behind a very clearly disingenuous smile. This chain of hostels have an awful MAXIMUM age policy. They will not let you stay if you are over 45 and booking.com allow this and other hostels sell through their web with this infamous condition. Shame on a chain of hostel that call itself inclusive. This should not be legal.

I loved this hostel, but had a horrible experience at the pub crawl. I was physically assaulted by a man at bar, he pushed and elbowed me very hard. enough that I nearly fell (had a bruise on my ribs the next day) and the volunteer from the hostel that was supposed to be with us claimed she saw the whole thing and told me to shut up (the man was buying her drinks). I told reception that night, through tears and he said he’d tell the manager but there was no follow up, no check on me.

Terrible experience. The bug bite at this place totally ruined the trip. Had to buy medications to treat it.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in! There’s something for everyone - it’s social and everyone’s very chatty but not overly crowded and loud and you still get some moments of peace. It’s also super clean and in an amazing location in the centre of the city! Every person who works there is amazing and they always make you feel welcome and safe. If you’re wondering whether or not you should book this place then you definitely should !

AMAZING HOSTEL EXPERIENCE!! Had such a good couple nights stay, staff were all lovely and so helpful, Facilities were excellent as well as the room and bed. Big shout out to Melissa the tour guide for our Toledo trip; very knowledgeable and such a lovely person to lead the group, didn't have to worry about anything except enjoying the trip thanks to her - amazing vibes all around 10/10

Un hostel súper lindo y amigable. Muy ordenado y limpio, con desayuno gratis súper rico! Y con actividades diarias muy divertidas y que te permiten conocer otros viajeros y hacer amistades! Además, muy cómoda la habitación y la cama. Sin dudas volvería y lo recomiendo!

I cannot thank the staff here highly enough for their service and assistance. We had the unfortunate circumstance of my partner having an accident 2 days before and being put on crutches. The staff were so incredibly helpful, assisting with our luggage, and letting us stay in the hostel even though we arrived early because we couldnt walk the 2 flights of stairs again. Our stay was short but was positive. We especially are grateful to Fran who gave us a lot of advice that made our short Madrid trip very memorable:) There are many facilities for comfort, and there are many activities to help us all get acquainted with one another and the city. O hostel tem uma localização super central, o pessoal é simpático, organiza atividades e tudo estava limpo! Pontos para o chuveiro que era ótimo! Eu fiquei no quarto com outras 3 mulheres e eu já sabia que não seriam beliches com cortina. Se vai ser tranquilo ou não depende de com quem você está compartilhando o ambiente. Very clean and well organized hostel, would recommend! Beds were comfy, kitchen was well equipped and the free snacks for breakfast felt like a little present every day: amazing! I wasn’t the most social guest as I was visiting a friend but guests seemed kind and it was nice that OneFam organizes all kinds of social activities. It was quiet at night, despite being so in the city center. Staff very friendly and helpful!

El mejor hostel de Madrid, Fran me recibió como si estuviese en casa. Llegué mucho tiempo antes del Check-in y ofrecieron recibirme las valijas y guardarlas para que pudiera aprovechar el día sin cargarlas. De la misma forma permiten guardar el equipaje una vez realizado el check-out. Tienen propuestas increíbles para hacer durante el día y la noche. El mejor hostel de Madrid para socializar

Great property, great location, great activity organisation

Amei minha estadia no Onefam Sungate, mesmo que tenham sido poucos dias. Ficar lá no final de uma viagem foi providencial pela localização maravilhosa. Todo o pessoal atencioso e querido! Se tiver um ponto para destacar negativo são as escadas, mas não tem muito o que fazer. Enfim, amei tudo!

I had an absolute lovely time in OneFam hostel. Thzre is a lot of activities happening, very well located, not too crowed, and most importanly this "one family " feeling, that the team is working daily to create and make you fell at home (special huge thank you Fran and Alex) making live Not my first time in a Onefam hostel, and defintely not the last

Staff gentis e preparados. Atividades sociais fomentadas pelo hostel são divertidas e organizadas. Local limpo e organizado. Um dos melhores que fiquei.
