Crash palace Napier

Es war sehr dreckig und nicht gut organisiert. Das Personal hinter der Rezeption war sehr unfreundlich und konnte nichtmal Hallo oder Tschüss sagen. Duschen so klein, dass alles nass wird. Vorhänge vorm Bett zwar vorhanden, aber auch nur halb dran gehangen. Würde nicht nochmal bleiben.

The only thing I have an issue with was the kitchens. Dry food was left everywhere around the kitchens. The fridges were a mess. Prepared food was left in open containers, in tins. Pots. Plates etc. The fridges were absolutely filthy. I could not use them. I have never seen fridges like that in my life. Complete shame as the rest of the place is very clean

Dieses Hostel war leider eine absolute Enttäuschung: Keine Steckdosen an den oberen Betten in einem 8-Bett-Zimmer und keine Vorhänge Im Zimmer war zwar ein Bad, aber nur die Toiletten funktionierten, Wasserhahn kaputt, Dusche tropfte ständig Alles wirkte sehr ungepflegt und schmuddelig Die Küche war der schlimmste Bereich: Pfannen komplett abgekratzt, Möbel kurz vorm Auseinanderfallen, Schranktüren wackelig oder gar nicht vorhanden, alt und unhygienisch Duschen klein, dreckig und unpraktis...

I'm disappointed with the room. I took the "standard twin private shared bathroom" The window was broken, I couldn't close it. Only one light, no bedside lamp in the room. Only one power point opposite the bed, near the sink. How dangerous if you want to use the sink and charge your phone. But the staff was amazing. I'm recommend the hostel but not this room, I think it's too expensive for what it is.

L’endroit est globalement assez vétuste, notamment la cuisine. Toutes les poêles et casseroles sont inutilisables (le revêtement en Téflon part en lambeau), les éponges sont dans le même état. Par contre, la literie est confortable et l’endroit est bien situé pour découvrir Napier. Nous avons payé 50€ la nuit pour 2 lits superposés et une salle de bain privée que nous n’avons pas utilisée (la porte ne fermait pas et il n’y avait pas d’aération). Je trouve cela cher !

Perfect location, and friendly staff. It's a big old building which could do with a hoover but the ensuite and kitchen were clean and well organised. Experience couldn't have gone smoother, defo recommend

Enjoyed time, a bit dirty (carpets, facilities etc.)

Showers were filthy and my room absolutely stank. Booked an en suite but only got a toilet - but that may have been my issue. Location is great.

Kitchen in the coed wing smelled rancid the whole weekend we were there, but other than that it was great!

I really like the staff who welcome me and bless me for the tripI really appreciated how welcoming the staff were. They didn’t just check me in, but genuinely cared and even gave me kind wishes for my journey ahead. I also had the chance to meet wonderful people here. It’s such a warm and heartfelt place.

10min walk from where the book drop you located 2min away beach perfect located staff lovely

The downstairs kitchen and bathrooms were not the best. The snack kitchen could use a good clean and the bathroom showers were so small and left no room to change. But upstairs did offer a better kitchen and shower space! Staff were all very nice and bedding was all very clean. All in all it was a good stay and I think it’s just an old building and they are working with what they have.

Great affordable little hostel! 1 minute walk to the centre an the private room had a huge window with a great view! Bathroom could have a bit of an upgrade but aside from that it was awesome!

Prima, douche was wel te klein voor mij, en badkamers hadden schoner gekund. Kamers zelf waren top, en fijne matrassen!

Identical experience to the previous review. Lots of permanent residents made the larger communal spaces and kitchen a bit awkward. Snack kitchen by the dorms was dirty along with the bathrooms. Space in shower too small to not get your clothes wet. Bed great but was shoved into a corner with another bunk so my locked space was blocked by the other bunk. Wouldn’t stay again. Staff could be hard to locate even with the desk button. Good location.

The kitchen here was absolutely revolting. Everything else was pretty fine, but the kitchen was so disgusting it ruined my experience. Bugs everywhere, everything was dirty, the fridges were entirely unorganized and had uncovered food rotting in them. Bedrooms were actually quite nice (comfy mattress, curtains for privacy, fans and outlets next to each bed) but got very stuffy. Location was pretty nice as well. If you don't use the kitchen/dining area, it's a fine place to sleep.

Nice staff, good location, okay for 1 night. The Floor/room smelled bad, you couldn’t open a window. The mattress was not very good, but happy about the curtain. Shower space was very tiny.

The kitchen wasn't really clean and the people in there very reluctant. Overall the atmosphere seemed a bit oppressive... The 8 bed room doesn't provide any kind of storage room for your luggage hence everybody just stored their stuff somewhere. As you can imagine, it ended a bit in a mess.
