YoYo Surf Hostel

not clean no wifi in the room not social no events organized you have to pay for water it says surf hostel but they have loud music till 11.30pm so I couldn't sleep and you don't go surfing together. A lot of longterm stays and they are clicky

Absolutley discusting place. I got a bunk bed and the room smelled like mould and sweat so bad that it was impossible to fall asleep and gave me a bad headache next morning. The sheets was full of stains. Have a friend that have stayed there too and he had the same experience.. Booked two nights but couldn’t stand to stay any longer, I had to book a new place and the hostel refused to give me money back for the second night.. the kitchen was also terrible.. I do NOT recommend this place

don't rate this place at all. good atmosphere and easy to meet people but the place is run down, fairly dirty, staff weren't rude but just blunt and never smiled or seemed happy. not a great location as you need a scooter to get anywhere. fully recommend just booking somewhere nicer for the same price and then coming here in the evening for the atmosphere if you want it

The dorm is amazing, the bed is comfy and the cuddle pillow is a 10/10 Just a little far away from ahangama and when I was there it wasn’t very social Also a little pricy for me

Yoyo Hostel is clearly a party hostel, and if that’s what you’re looking for, you might enjoy the atmosphere. However, the conditions of the rooms are very poor. The rooms are dirty, poorly maintained, and honestly unpleasant. Cleanliness is a major issue and falls well below what should be acceptable, even for a party-oriented hostel. Sleeping there was uncomfortable and disappointing. If your priority is partying and you don’t care about hygiene, this place might work.

For a hostel that advertises itself as social and party-oriented, the atmosphere was disappointing. Staff often focused on flirting with certain guests rather than engaging with everyone, and the volunteers responsible for social activities mostly socialised only with each other. If you are looking for a social hostel, look elsewhere. I stayed for 5 days, and the manager and some social hosts never spoke to me even once More concerning was the manager's behavior. He threated a guest over a simple helmet mix-up, literally saying, "we will find you," creating weird vibes. Really smelly dorm, moisture, humidity… and Hostel full of young people with bandages everywhere who talk inside of the room late and drunk

This hostel is in bad shape, with outdated facilities, cleanliness issues, and a lack of maintenance. Some rooms have no AC, making it extremely uncomfortable to sleep or even stay inside. The location is also a downside, far from the city center. On top of that, the staff was unfriendly and not very helpful. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend it.

The room we stayed in shouldn’t even be considered a room. Sleeping there was nearly impossible due to a large window facing the common/pool table area, where loud music played until midnight and people were constantly talking. If you plan on surfing in the morning or simply value a good night’s sleep, avoid staying here—every word from outside was audible, and even earplugs couldn’t block out the noise. On top of that, the beds didn’t feel clean.

YoYo’s Hostel was an absolute joy to stay at. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the beds are really comfortable, and YoYo’s family goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. The social scene is fantastic, it’s incredibly easy to meet people and make friends. I had a great experience and will definitely be returning!

This was honestly my favourite hostel in all of Asia. The moment I arrived, I felt so welcome. The owner and staff are some of the kindest people I met while travelling and truly care about guests. On a été super bien accueillis et on nous a conseillé de bonnes adresses, personnel à l’écoute ! L’hostel est sympa pour rencontrer du monde. La chambre était propre et spacieuse mais j’ai trouvé que les sanitaires n’étaient pas très propres.

Overall super nice hostel. Great location, great bed, clean rooms and I loved the outdoor shower setup. Hostel is super friendly but I will say that it is a party hostel! Everyone goes out every night from my experience. Very good for meeting people, not as good if ur just looking for a good nights sleep (the train in the morning is also very loud)

Definitely one of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed in. Very social with the perfect common area for mingling with others and pre drinking for the parties. super comfy beds and the staff were all so friendly. Great location for nice beaches and restaurants too.

Best hostel I have stayed in during my time in Sri Lanka. Great location, social area and staff!

Booked 3 Days to start but ended up extending to almost 3 weeks. Good + Clean Hostel all around. The Public Area with a lot of Seating + Pool-Table + Darts is nice and its easy to connect or hang out. There is an Event or Party Trip every Day. The Guys working there are also really awesome!

J’avais réservé pour une semaine, j’ai étendu pour 2 semaines de plus tellement j’ai apprécié mon séjour ici. L’ambiance est trop cool, le staff aussi, l’emplacement est parfait. Que ce soit pour surfer, ou pour les soirées, tout est trop cool.
