LoLHostel Siracusa

Check-in was very impersonal, no explanation of the facilities or showing around, just vaguely pointing the way and handing over sheets. Online it is mentioned as a selling that the hostel is city-tax free, but this is not the case anymore, so I had to pay extra unop arrival. The whole place in generally not very clean. I received some sheets with spots on them and the shower had mold on the ceiling. Overall not a bad place to stay, but I expected more for what I paid.

The worst place to stay! I never had such bad experience how I had in Lol Hostel. Rooms very small for all the bunker beds, you need to make your own bed, I stayed for 4 nights and nobody came to clean the room, the bathroom don’t have shower door, so its all the time flooded and smelling mold. To complete the terrible experience, the staff hosted parties at night until 3, 4am. and sleep will be everything you will not do that! At 7am the morning staff start to talk and scream slamming doors.

Rooms were too small for the amount of beds and it didn't feel very clean. Not a very nice hangout area as the music was always super loud and there was little light. Music stayed on until like 2 or 3 am which is terrible if you want to sleep. Staff were very nice and helpful though, and I liked the location as it was close to the bus and train station and right inbetween ortigia and the archaeological sites

The hostel is ok, but not special. I slept in two different beds and both were not good at all; very small and the mattres is poor quality. Nice to have a shower in the room.

Personnel incroyable, aidant et super accueillant, par contre, le reste laisse vraiment à désirer… Pas du tout d’ambiance, moisissure sur les murs, douches et salles de bain qui ne se ferment pas, pas de wifi dans les chambres, en gros, très très déçu!

Staff were nice and all but a weird group of people and kind of a gross place. The kitchen and bar were nice but the room itself was small for so many people and the bathroom was pretty gross. Hate to give a bad review but maybe don’t stay here. Nothing seriously wrong, but I feel like in Sicily you can find better accommodations for the same price.

Hygiène très mauvaise salle de bain très insalubre, impossible de prendre une douche dans les conditions respectables de sécurité hygiène. Je n’ai jamais vu une douche et cabine de douche aussi sale. J’ai du acheter des produits pour laver la salle bain et douche pour y mettre mes pieds (javel et autres produits désinfectant…) et j’ai fais ce ménage tous les jours durant les 5 jours de mon séjour à cette hostel et je déplore une telle négligence d’hygiène. I absolutely did not find the hostel up to expectations but also up to the decent minimum. In the dormitory there was a cup of coffee left against the window that stayed there for three days (you can guess how often they cleaned). The bathroom inside the dorm was completely unacceptable. Very dirty (not a carpet or anything to prevent people after showering to wet the floor), the WC smelled like pee, and there wasn't a shelf where to put our stuff. I could continue but there's no space left.

Ok hostel - perfect location if you want to be 1 min from the train and the bus station. But a bit far (10-20 min) from the old city (Ortigia). The rooms seem old: the mattresses look shady even though it was ok for the two nights I slept there. You have to do your bed yourself. Not enough space to hang your clothes in the room. No nightstand. The kitchen needs a complete makeover: everything is old, humid and rusty.

It’s very nearby the train station, and it’s very convenient for me to trip by train. The bedding is clean, the kitchen is useful staff are very friendly. I like it and the price-quality ratio is very high.

Ovan med hostel men positivt överraskad. Betyget på renlighet avser köket och beror på andra boende, inte på personalens förmåga att städa. Sov bra med öronproppar. Sov i ett 8 bäddsrum för kvinnor. Toalett och dusch på rummet var väldigt bra. Överslaf kändes mer privat, lite bökigt att gå på wc på natten bara. Granne med tågstationen. Bra luft.

The dorms as well as the kitchen were clean. Only the people who sleep in the dorm receive a key to it (along with e key to an assigned locker). Therefore I felt very safe in the dorm. Moreover, it was great having a bathroom in the dorm rather than sharing one on the hallway.

Great! The staff were very friendly like a home. Just one suggestion to add on, if they can keep some hangers in the locker would have been great help.

Very nice hostel, I recommend staying here. The kitchen was very good, nice and clean bathrooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds with drape, drinks and cocktails at reasonable prices, supermarket and trainstatiom close by. It‘s not a super social hostel, but you can meet people.

The location of the hostel was good. And the hostel itself was clean. Unfortunately it's not a social hostel at all. There is also not really a common area to chill with everyone. During my stay there was a huge class of 16 year old italiens screaming, punching at doors and walking in and out of rooms at 2 am for several hours every night. So sleeping was really hard. Sleeping in is also not possible, the cleaning ladies will come into your room at 9:30 if you are sleeping or not. No food/coffe...

very friendly reception staff, secure lockers, beds were okay for the night, the individual curtains/night lights/sockets were useful.

Siempre claros en la información que necesitas, solo pasé una noche y si bien me quedó corta pude conocer que este espacio es ultra recomendable. Volvería definitivamente

Nice hostel in Siracusa, around the corner from the bus and train stations. The hostel itself is big and airy, with a big terrace. Dorm was fine, every bed had curtains and a night lamp and power socket. Overall there wasn’t too much socialising going on when I was there but that might’ve been just the moment. Liked my stay and would return

Great location, free towels, and curtains on the beds make for a wonderful stay. Staff were also so lovely and helpful when one of our bags got stolen at the beach.

Gut Nicht so Social

Pros: comfortable solid non-creaky bed, pretty clean, working AC, kind staff, great location for trains and bus. They also do left luggage. Cons: shower was kinda small and water only lukewarm. Notes: it’s ~10min walking from Ortigia and it’s definitely a quieter hostel; the guests I did speak were really nice tho

Very nice hostel, not the most social place but it’s super comfortable and it’s always a plus when they have curtains on the beds and an air con in the rooms! Not a bad location either.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights and the hostel was just what we needed. It was rather close to the center, all walking distance. The kitchen was perfect for anyone that wanted to cook. The outside terrace was nice as well-basically all common areas were well taken care of. If you’re sleeping in a dorm with 8+ people, please keep in mind that private bathroom might get a little wet. The beds are comfortable and there’s air conditioning in the room.

It’s an ok hostel. It’s very close to the train station and bus terminal which is very practical, but the location itself is not very nice. I liked that they gave a towel, usually hostels don’t do that, that’s a plus. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise so I could sleep ok. But it could use of some love and care. The rooms are quite small and so is the locker to store the luggage. The kitchen was super dirty. The fridge, microwave, oven, everything really dirty and smelly.
