Cheese Hostel Manila

Wouldn’t recommend staying here for more than 1 night. Facilities were pretty dirty. The dorm I had (floor 4) felt incredibly crammed, warm, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. Atmosphere completely absent.

The staff was very rude lost their temper completely on my friend over a bit of confusion. Kicked said friend out because they were talking about going to party in the party district really unprofessional definitely not recommended. :(

Sorry to say but this place is like a dorm for Indian students. They have a common CR which means all folks in the same floor are using it. There are mosquitos. The bed is just made of wood so there's sound if you move. There no windows so it is suffocating. The only thing I liked is the view in the roof top.

Okay place if you are just looking for a bed for the night. Dorm beds dont have curtains nor charging ports or lights. Reception staff were helpful and nice.

Majority of the staff were very kind and friendly, although when ordering food or drinks at the bar made us feel like a bit of a burden, not a lot of food on the menu was available but what was we really enjoyed. The rooms weren’t clean and there was mould on the walls and floors, beds were very hard and pillows equally as hard so ended up being in a lot of pain when we woke up. The toilets were always full of water, from the toilet spray and smelt very bad.

Very far away from main areas, not alot of other travellers. Woke up to vomit on the bathroom floor which had not been cleaned from night before. Staff were nice and helpful.

The rooms were the hottest I’ve ever stayed in in Asia and really needs to be renovated. No atmosphere and not the cleanest however the location was good as close to the airport

The best part of this hostel! - Nice guests & good "chill" ambiance overall - Mattress do the job Cons : - Bed without windows, a bit oppresive - AC is cold, ask for a second sheet if you are chilly - No curtains, really few privacy - Not a lot of showers, you may wait a bit.

Das Personal war stets super nett und bemüht bei allen Angelegenheiten, die Kommunikation hat sehr gut gepasst. Die Ausstattung war so wie angegeben und hat gepasst. Der einzige Kritikpunkt wäre, dass die Bäder öfter gereinigt und Seife nachgefüllt werden könnte. Sonst kann ich das Hostel wärmstens empfehlen!

I stayed at Cheese Hostel and had a great experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were very supportive and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good and affordable place to stay in Manila. Cheese Hostel is both comfortable and budget-friendly.

Basic Hostel, but enough for a night, the staff was nice and overall was clean, not very social by the time I was there. I did the Intramuros tour with Miles and it was amazing! If you are in Manila, specially for a short time, get the tour from the reception, Miles was very nice and the tour was very interesting!

Good hostel! The bed is nice and the bunkbeds are sturdy. They cleaned the shower and toilet multiple times. You have 7-Eleven close by. WiFi is good. Overall an good experience

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter, Empfang hat 24/7 offen. Hostel hat eigene Bar und Café wo immer sehr lecker und günstig gegessen und getrunken werden kann. Zimmer sind sauber und die Besucher sehr offen.

Cheese Hostel was a nice place to slow down and relax in Manila! Bed was also very comfortable!

This is my favorite hostel in manila

5 stars for overall cleanliness & cute cats. The room & food, 1 star only. Why? 1) Side covers not fully cover. Better if beds are placed side by side separated by thick walls (SG style). Lack dim lights. It's pitch dark if lights are off. Every bed must have small dim lights that serve as indicator if someone's occupying the bed so we don't need to peek each bed to see if someone's there. 3) The bed ladder must be attached to the side bed to avoid being tripped over when it's dark. 4) Bad food.

My first time ever writing a review, but this was a very good experience. Staff was super kind and very helpful. They had a board with all the local restaurants and sights to see in Manila. The rooms was really good, there was 2 working ac and. Clean comfy beds. I would absolutely stay here again, plus much cheaper than other hostels. The only downside is it’s not very social compared to other hostels.

I’m really happy that I booked this hostel, even after seeing some surprising reviews from other guests considering the price we’re paying. This is one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Yes, it’s basic, but it’s very straightforward and has everything you need. Great value for money!

For a very cheap price compared to other hostels nearby, this is now my go-to choice for a short stay in Manila. You really get what you pay for ,the bed was super comfortable, there were good food options in their bar and resto (the phad thai was my fav! and most importantly, the staff were warm and friendly, always ready to answer any of my questions. I’ll definitely be back again! Hopefuly soon!
